  I need expert help in this area. My friend had gifted me a unloacked AT & T Blackberry Torch 9800, 6.0 Bundle 2647 (v6.0.0.600, platform 6.6.0.223) (just yesterday upated). I used it fine until lately, I have encountered this problem. Whenever I put a little too much pressure on the top slider and push downwards (to close the cursor) the device automatically restarts.   Thanks for the reply. I found the problem. My flashlight battery was loose so every time I slipped to the bottom of his slider he used to restart. I fixed it now... Thanks again!

  Looks like you put in the wrong password for the device.  now, you must type the word blackberry to continue entering the device password.  After a few attempts over the wrong password, your phone will wipe itself.

  Correct response of Esperoni, when you visit App World from your phone, only applications that are compatible with your phone will be displayed.  Take a tour of your phone and if you do not see the application, it will not work on your phone.

  My browser works well and I can connect to the internet, but whenever I go back to using the TRACKPAD it does not continue.   You can always try scrolling to the right place with your trackpad and then by pressing ENTER (bottom right) key to make the selection.

  Hello. I'm new in the world of BB and I just go this great gift that I am slowing learning how to use.  I prowled around for awhile and now it's my turn to ask a silly question.

  On my BB Curve 8330, I have a picture of my son on the front screen. I don't know what a theme, but I have 5 icons at the bottom of the screen.

  I'm having a hard time with my "message" folder and my mail folder electronic ***@comcast.net.

  the problem is, my emails are sent to both folders.  my email (the world with the envelope) and message (mailbox) file. I'm just a pain to remove all of the two places.  I read here in one of the forums how you could also do your separate sms/mms, I did. but then I got three folders.  So in my folder of message it shows me, my email and my calls missed.

  Is it possible that I can stop my e-mail to go to both places?

  I need, step by step... I'm not ignorant, but my book was missing from the BB when it was purchased, so I'm waiting on a new instruction book which should be here tomorrow.  I think I'm not too bad, thank you to all of you on this forum!

  Messages are stored on your device the volume you want.

  Go to the messages main folder, press menu, options, General options and scroll to the bottom to keep the Messages, you can change the duration between 15 days to Forever.

  I use a Pearl 8220 bought in Germany. So, my contacts are automatically registered with the German country 0049 code as much as I do not use a different country code. Now, I've moved to the Austria and use it with an Austrian provider. Can I change the country in my Pearl? Hopefully the message is understandable that my English is not so good.   Press your green dial to enter the call log and press the Menu key > Options > Smart Dialing and set the country code, etc., to this place.

  Hi, I am new to BB and need help with the calendar.  Do not have microsoft outlook, I would like to be able to sync a calendar of office with my BB 8330.  The research I found indicates that BB will only synchronize with outlook, lotus, and? something else.  Is this true?  I have to just bite the bullet and download outlook?  I have windows vista with the following microsoft office 2007 and it came with microsoft office oneNote.  Anyone who is familiar with that?  Know if that can be synchronized with my BB from oneNote to synchronize with outlook?  Thanks for your understanding!

  There is a link to Goggle calendar that syncs with Outlook 2007.

  Then you just add Google mobile sync to your BB and it should be good

  I'm kinda stuck with my Blackberry Bold 9700.  He wiped my old entries in the calendar (even though I have "Keep forever" selected in options), but I need the calendar last points because I used it for the follow-up of meetings, events, etc.

  Before you reinstall an old backup, copy in Outlook and then re - install my current version is there any how else to get this info on the file backup and in Outlook.  I really want to install a previous version of the backup on my phone because when I do, he never wears on a large number of the phone ringing, settings, etc., and I still need to do to get things to normal.

  Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

  To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your phone model. If device reboot prompt do then sign in with your ID BlackBerry even.

  If the old BB is really dead, then it is not available as a source for restoring your data to your new device. Instead, you must use another source, one that you created before the old BB died.

  If you made a backup of office, you can use the backup as a restore source file:

  If you were synchronizing with a Desktop Organizer (for example, Outlook), then you can use that as source for restore reconfiguring the RIM Desktop software now work with your new BB:

  As you use BB Protect, is also an available food source:

  You must be sure to connect to, on the new BB, the same BB ID that you used on the old BB. If you have already created a new ID BB on this new BB, then you go to your old ID BB:

  This will allow even you to migrate other things that were on your old BB - for example, documents of purchase/download AppWorld.

  There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

  Method 1:

  • Open the Blackberry Desktop Software and connect your device to your PC with the USB OEM cable and without inserting the battery.
  • You will get three options: try again, update or cancel; Click Refresh.
  • Once, it is at the stage of initialization of 'pocket', insert the battery.
  • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

  Second method:

  • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
  • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
  • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
  • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.
