Capacity of the disk T3600

We have 2 Dell T3600 we have, but I have a question regarding the capacity of the disk. In my opinion, they don't have 2 slots of discs but the spec to say you can add others.

I'm assuming that they're talking about removing the DVD drive and insert some type of door.

I don't have to watch. I need to insert an SSD in the DVD slot and other passers-by would take a multi-plate 2.

They have a car to put in containing a drive and on the front plate?

Thanks in advance.

  • Error: the capacity of the disk virtual parent and the child disk capacity are different (67).

    Hello

    I tried to increase the hard drive of a machine space of 10 GB for a 20 GB virtual linux. I closed down the VM, then ssh was in the ESXi server. From there on, I ran the command:

    vmkfstools x 20 G Apatite.vmdk

    The command was executed successfully. Then, when I turned on the virtual machine I had and still do me:

    Reason: The capacity of the disk virtual parent and the child disk capacity are different.
    Cannot open disk ' / vmfs/volumes/503fd5b8-d1cef086-eb4a-10bf487b38db/Apatite/Apatite-000001.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

    I tried many things such as the cloning of the Apatite.vmdk of Apatite - repaired.vmdk. That works, however, I get an old version of the virtual machine. I do not receive my changes of Apatite - 000001.vmdk or Apatite-000001 - delta.vmdk.

    I have a very important job on my VM that I am restoring. I should have backed up before doing anything else I've done. Now, it seems that I pay the price.

    Can someone help me get my VM? Is it possible to increase the size of the snapshot (Apatite - 000001.vmdk) or reduce the size of the parent so that they match, and the virtual machine start?

    Help, please.

  • Difference between file system capacity and the capacity of the disks in Capacity Planner reports

    Hello

    I had to go on my Capacity Planner tool training soon, but I have a question on the front that frustrates me. In the evaluation report that comes out of the tool after the analysis, a use of disc section, which lists all the servers for analysis there. A column of this report is directed to file system capacity, another disk capacity. In all cases, the first is less than the latter. What is the exact meaning of these labels?

    Some of the numbers differ substantially between the columns, for example 20 GB for a capacity of 36 GB of disk space for a server and file system. He said that only 20 GB to 36 GB disk is formatted/partitioned to use?

    As previously stated:

    Disk capacity is 36 GB - physically, there are 36 GB of storage.

    File system is logical capacity - the amount of space used by files on the disks.

    File system and the capacity of the disks will never match because fees General table of file.

    I hope this helps.

  • "Project exceeds the capacity of the disk" when DVD is only 2.5 hours long

    This is my first time using again because Toast for some reason, crashed and refused to start again.  I exported the project as an MPEG2-DVD first with Dolby Digital sound.  I loaded the project in Toast, and he told me that about 10% of the disk space was still free.  However, now I have it loaded in again and created a menu it tells me "Project exceeds disk capacity."  What is the problem and how to fix it?  Thank you.

    What rate you encode to? I think roughly 3.7 would be OK for a 2.5 hour video.

    If you have static menus simple, you should be fine, but if you have animated menus, they will use more space, as would an additional video.

    EDIT: When you export via SOUL, you multiplex or use the default value of the export audio video, and separate which is OK for again?

    Thank you

  • What is the maximum capacity of the disk for Portege M700?

    Does anyone know what is the maximum capacity of disk for Portege M700?

    Thanks for the reply

    As I m wrong not the Portege M700 does support a SATA HDD.
    In this case we must avoid any limitation of the size of the HARD disk
    Usually, you can use almost all SATA 2.5 hard drives in you M700.

    Have a script to list the following:

    Thank you

    The ForEach statement do not place anything on the pipeline.

    You can get by using the call operator, like this

    $vm = gc vm.txt

    & {ForEach ($VM in (Get-VM-name $vm)) {($VM.)} Extensiondata.Guest.Disk | Select @{N = "Name"; E = {$VM. Name}}, DiskPath,
    @{N = "Capacity (GB)"; "} E = {[math]: tour ($_.)} (Capacité/1Go)}},
    @{N = "Free Space (GB)"; E = {[math]: tour ($_.)} (FreeSpace/1Go)}},
    @{N = "free space"; E = {[math]: Round (((100 * ($_.)))} FreeSpace)) / ($_.) Capacity)), 0)}})}} |

  • Is there an alarm of VM for the capacity of the disk?

    I want to create an alarm for a virtual machine that when he approaches the c: drive 85% of capacity, send an email to the administrator.

    I couldn't see a default alarm for this one, when you create a new trigger.

    Closest is "Disk use KBps.

    Is there a way to set the alarm for the use of the drive (upgrade)?

    Thank you

    I don't know any alarm.  For us, we run a couple PowerCLI scripting on a daily basis. From there we will inform our server problems of possible disk space owners.

    You can also watch RVTools, that can provide this type of reporting, although it has no functionality to send E-mail

    We also use a SCOM agent on all our guests (windows), which will provide reports functionality you are looking for.

  • How to delete files, getting the project exceeds the capacity of the disk in again

    I burned this project twice now, with DVDs fine engraving.  I wanted to just change a few things on the menu.  Now when I go to burn, I get the error message "disk capacity superior project.»

    This seems odd given that the previous fine burned DVD.  I think the previous Burns/renderings are in the path.

    In my edition previous softare, if I had to do something, a new rendering and re - burn video, I would click in the menu "delete all auxiliary files for this project."  But I don't see that in again.  Where can I remove this temporary/auxiliary/or what do you call the files?  What they call?

    Thank you!

    526 KB used for DVD-ROM content.  I don't know what the content from.  How/where would I delete that?

    Basically, this means that you don't have any content ROM. It's just the General fresh minimum necessary, you must add the ROM content - this size is normal.

    Back up a little, you said you did not have the Cache of database cleanup/remove function in audio/video IN & OUT. I was of course about my still (2.0), so I'd go for help and look for "Cache" as CS4 has probably moved things - sorry for the "wild goose chase."

    EncoreDVD 2.0, media Cache files are stored in a folder (Cache\Media Cache files) in the hierarchy of the project files. There will be several subfolders in this one. Do not know if in CS4 has changed this hierarchy.

  • What is the maximum capacity of the disk for Satellite L300-1EI?

    Hello

    I have a portable Sattelite L300 - 1EI Nodel PSLB8E - 05W013H2.
    Currently, I have a hard drive with a capacity of 120G.

    There a lot of bad sectors.
    I would like to know what is the maximum capacity, by that I could replace.

    Thank you

    Unfortunately, you will not be able to find this information. What you can do is to check this forum using the advanced search option in the hope that you find some similar discussions.

    My advice to you is: buy 300 GB HARD drive, and I'm sure that you'll be happy with it.

    Richard Harper's response for you to see, but also, note the following:

    I * strongly * recommend Registry Mechanic and register all the
    cleaning products.

    Registry cleaning programs are * all * snake oil. Cleaning of the
    registration is not necessary and is dangerous. Let alone register and
    do not use any registry cleaner. Despite what many people think, and
    What software record cleaning suppliers are trying to convince you,
    have unused registry entries is not really make you hurt.

    The risk of a serious problem caused by a registry cleaner by mistake
    delete an entry you need is much greater than any potential benefit
    It can have.

    and also

    Let me stress that neither me nor anyone else who warns the
    use of registry cleaners never said that they always cause
    problems. If they have always caused problems, they would disappear from
    the market almost immediately. Many people have used a registry
    cleaner and never had a problem with it.

    The problem with a registry cleaner is that it carries with it
    important * risk * to have a problem. And since there is no
    benefits of using a registry cleaner, running that risk is a very bad
    good deal.

  • EQL PS6010 online and I want to upgrade the capacity of the disk but original Dell drive are not available, it is possible to replace it with the original brand of Seagate.

    Hello

    One of my largest clients use a PS6010XV storage in production for 3 years. It is equipped with 8 disks SAS 600 GB drive HARD 15'000 rpm and shortly it will be out of space. He ask me full fill the table with hard 16 600 GB.

    My sales representative Dell told me that this kind of upgrade is not possible, the 600GB 15,000 rpm SAS drives is not available...

    My client is very upset by this situation and I'm trying to find another solution.

    Is it possible fill completes the picture with the original disc Seagate Cheetah 15K 3.5 "600 GB SAS 6 GB/s 24 x 7, type ST3600057SS instead of the original Dell disks?

    I can see the Dell drive (P/N 0944832 - 01) are Seagate brand and type is exactly the same.

    Kind eyes and waiting for your response

    Christophe

    Hello

    No, because it is custom firmware on the brand of Dell disks.  The EQL firmware will be search and reject non Dell/EQL brand discs.  Do not add any disk brand would also void the warranty.

  • How to get the capacity of the disk in java oracle

    Hi, Experts.

    I try to get the drive capacity c: in oracle, for this, I use java, but I had a few problems, because in oracle file i/o class, it does not work as expected. This is my sample code:

    CREATE OR REPLACE AND RESOLVE JAVA SOURCE NAMED TEST.DISKS_FREE as

    import java.io.File;

    import java.sql.*;

    public class DiskFreeSpace

    {

    public static long loadDisk() throws SQLException

    {

    File file = new File("c:");

    long freeSpace = file.getFreeSpace();

    return freeSpace;

    }
    }

    When I compile this code, throw this error:

    [Error]  (0: 0): DISKS_FREE:14: cannot find symbol
    [Error]  (0: 0): symbol  : method getFreeSpace()
    [Error]  (0: 0): location: class java.io.File
    [Error]  (0: 0):   long freeSpace = file.getFreeSpace();
    [Error]  (0: 0):   ^
    [Error]  (0: 0): 1 error

    This means that compliler is the method getFreeSpace() in java.io.File, however if I test this in java jdk5, same that use oracle 11 g 2, works perfect.

    I post this issue previously in StackOverflow without success.

    Thanks in advance.

    Prior to Java 6, you can use this: FileSystemUtils (common IO 2.4 API)

    is no more than a specific OS command line execution, so you can probably only implement if you do not want to load the entire jar in the db.

  • Adding to the capacity of the disks to existing ASM DiskGroup

    Hi, I have a Production (11.2.0.3) sitting on a RAC LIB 6.3 cluster database platform with storage of ASM and everything works normally, but I'm running out of space in one of disk groups.

    I drive new capabilities to add to this group of disks, but when I run the following command to root OS no entries are returned:

    /etc/init.d/oracleasm listdisks

    If I go into ASMCMD and run lsdsk, I get the following returned:

    / dev/map/oradata

    / dev/map/oraflash

    Also, if I connect to the instance of the ASM of network user name and perform the following steps, I get the following text:

    SQL > select name from V$ ASM_DISKGROUP;

    NAME

    ------------------------------

    DATA

    FLASH

    My question is why /etc/init.d/oracleasm listdisks command returns no results?  Note that I've done the scandisks /etc/init.d/oracleasm on both nodes.

    The disc, I want to add is called/dev/map/oradata2

    When I go to the /etc/init.d/oracleasm/dev/map/oradata2 DATA2 createdisk to create the disc, and run the scandisks on both nodes, I guess the listdisks still not will be able to list the discs of data, Flash and Data2

    My big concern is that when I add create disc on Node1, Node2 might not be able to see the newly created disk when I run the command Scandisks.

    Here, any help would be appreciated.

    Oracleasm will be only the list disks that have been added and marked by using the command "oracleasm createdisk. You can also pay attention to the ORACLEASM_SCANEXCLUDE variable, which can hold devices names oracleasm must ignore. To see the devices in a cluster, your devices must be shared, which is the underlying storage topology.

  • Replace drives in Perc 4/Di RAID 1 with the largest capacity of the disks without the need of resettlement

    Hi all

    I need support for readers to replace Perc 4/Di (we need more free space!)

    OS: Windows Server 2003

    Actually: Raid 1-> 2 x 146 GB drives

    Next: Raid 1-> 2 x 300 GB drives

    Volume C: (System Partition)

    Volume D: (data)

    The system partition is on the table. I'm running out of space, so I intend to replace the 146 GB drives with 300 GB drives.

    My question is, how do I replace the array to use all the space on the 300 GB drives without having to reinstall the system? And once I have the table showing 300 GB, what is the best way to extend the system partition and your data?

    Tanks in advance.

  • CS6 ~ ~ exceeds the capacity of the disk

    I came to you guys before.  I had help learn the ins and outs yet, but my help is not available now.

    I record in the past and stock car racing, I was able to take about 2 hours of footage on a dvd, if it was a 02:15 minutes I could reduce the transmission speed to make it fit.  However, last fall when the season ended I started having problems with projects don't fit on the dvd. (and honestly, I do not work on any video during the winter and completely forgot about this problem)  Right now I'm working on one that is 01:42 min and it does not.  I tried to lower the flow, but is not fixing it. And I really need to be able to adapt almost 2 hours every week.  In the window of generation the minute 01:42 project 5.49 gb, dvd is 4.7.  Apparently, I changed something somewhere, but I don't know where.  Here is some info that may help ~ even once, I'm not very good with the technical aspect of the present.  First DV NTSC, stereo, 16-bit codec.  Still codec is MPEG 2 (this could be the problem, because it differs from the first codec)? Transcoding: automatic.

    It is probably too vague, but maybe someone can help limit.  Thank you

    When exporting first, choose "MPEG-2 DVD" as the Format and then a Preset suitable as "NTSC DV Widescreen".

    A rule for the bitrate is 560/minute = bitrate, or use a debit online calculator.

    With a NEW project, again without changing the default settings, should accept the file .m2v video without further transcoding. The audio .wav will be automatically converted to Dolby .ac3.

    Thank you
