  Hello

  I am developing an e-learning course with Captivate 8 and I have a problem with models of questionnaires. I used to make all my quiz "handmade" in the software I used before Captivate (Lectora inspired), using advanced actions and user variables.

  I decided to use Captivate pre-made quizzes, because they are very easy to use and quick to install. However, I can't find a way to change the ugly radio buttons to select responses.

  I spoke with the Captivate support team and they told me it is built in and cannot be modified. So I thought to locate the png option buttons and replace them with my buttons png.

  After restart of Captivate, nothing has changed, the radio buttons are still there, even if I were replaced in the file (captivate/HTML/assets/htmlimages/radiobuttons.png) with the exact same names.

  Does anyone have an idea on how to do it?

  You are the publication in HTML format?  It only works for HTML output, no SWF.

• PDF forms interactive Adobe Indesign - Radio button groups

  I am trying to create an interactive form in Indesign. When I create selection of different lines with the radio button options. When I export PDF all radio buttons respond to each all the different lines. Is it possible to group together them I'm not finding where only the keys for the turn on and off specific issue and not all the lines with different questions. They seem to be all connected. I'm sure I'm missing a setting or a way to isolate a group form another, but I can't understand it. Thank you.

• Several radio buttons per line in the interactive report

  My interactive report has more than one page of data. Whenever I click to go to the

  second page of data, the click event on the radio buttons in the dynamic action no longer works.

  I leave the page elements that stores my key no hidden values, and they do not change, once I have change the pages in my interactive report.

  Any ideas as to what to do or something I'm missing.

• InDesign, interactive form (PDF) & radio button appearance problem...

  I'm working on an interactive PDF using InDesignCC x 64 form, and I need to have "a selection only choice ', I use the radio button. But the customer want them look like checkboxes.

  No problem: I know how to customize but... But... BUT... Appeareances custom of the option button will not appear only in Acrobat (instead, I got the default appearance of the radio button circular).

  I checked build-in the option box of indesign library (from 010 to 024) and got the same result. The only way I've found is to re - edit my form with Acrobat, and then change the property in 'square' instead of circle (but still can't get my custom appeareance). But as my form contains several pages and a huge amount of people, not mentioning several upcoming release, I would prefer not having to change anything with Acrobat and stay inside Indesign.

  This isn't my first form and I'm not really a newbie, but on this one, I'm totally distraught...

  Hope that someone from the community will be able to help... (I got 7 of those to do 48 hours... Perfect timing )

  After that several tests on different computers (Mac & PC) it seems that the problem happens only on Acrobat Pro. Not on Acrobat Reader... So it will do the trick, but the Adobe team should take a look at this...

• Add radio button to each row of an interactive report: possible or not?

  First of all, let me explain what is the point of this application.
  I do an application that allows you to select an item in a drop-down selection list. This list is a list of food categories. Suppose the user selects "Fruit."
  Then the page refreshes and shows an interactive report with a list of foods which belongs to the category of fruit.
  
  This is where I want to change things:
  I want the user to be able to view the interactive report, but in this interactive report, I would like to add a button for each row.
  Then, when a certain type of food is selected (say "Strawberry") via the radio button, a text field should appear under the interactive report. In this textfield, the user can then add the weight of the food, and then it will calculate how many carbs in strawberries there.
  
  All that I really want to know is:*.
  How can I add an option button to each row of the interactive report, and how to bind this option button to the value of that particular line? *

• can radio buttons show/hide the info in an interactive pdf?

  Hello. I have a question to which I have been faced with during some time... hoping someone can help.

  I create a document in InDesign CS6. It's basically a guide with a joint questionnaire.

  I have forward and back buttons work properly - so that they take you from one page to another.

  However, the more difficult question is I want to have interactivity with the use of radio buttons and eventually the check boxes. Thus, for example, on page 1, I have a question multiple choice where there are three choices. Clicking the wrong answer shows a block of text saying 'no it's wrong' and clicking on the appropriate radio button shows the words "Yes, correct."

  I have created three blocks of text and make it into a multi-state object.

  Three problems:

  1. option buttons seem to be the option for "the State" in the buttons and Forms dialog box
  2. even if that were the case - the State Road seems to be only swf, non-interactive pdf form - is there a way to change this?
  3. script assuming that there IS a way, everything can be put in place so that instead of using radio buttons I have use of check boxes that only give the correct answer if the correct check boxes are selected.

  I would stick to indesign to do this, however, I think that the option is perhaps more suited for this problem?

  1 - make 3 images and convert it into boxes option...

  Text blocks 2 2-make (Yes, his right) (No, the wrong) and convert it to buttons - rename it (Righ, evil)

  3 - Click on each radio button and apply action: Show/Hide button and form and on the visibility to activate the globe eye for buttons wrong or right.

• Calculation of the numeric fields radio button and checkbox-based response

  I am to change a form that was created by someone else.  I added checkboxes and radio buttons based on the need to form. I would like for the amount of check calculate automatically based on the selection of a radio button.  I've implemented some numeric fields to play with adding the amounts and placed them in the field 'Amount to check', but I can't seem to calculate.  Once I have to calculate correctly, I need to know how to automatically enter a number in the appropriate digital field based on the option button or check box selected.  Here is a picture of what I've put up.  Help, please!  I read all the forums, watched the videos and tried everything.  I'm so frustrated.

  

  Don't know if I have the layout if correct me if Im wrong. I assume you have a radio button group on the top line for the first 3 check boxes and boxes (when the user selects one) for the following 2 lines (where the user can select independently of the other 3 above) with a final calculation at the end to check the amount field.

  You can either place the code on each change of each checkbox/radio button event to recalculate or just do it on the final checksum field. I tried putting a calculate on the last field to check the quantity, and it seems to do what it takes.

  Try this in the case of calculating the amount of check field

• Radio button widget: commas seems to force a line break in an element

  Hello again,

  in the slides with radio button interactions, I have answers like "for these people, a short...» ", but the comma there seems to force it to be split into 2 responses.

  Is it possible to avoid this because sometimes we need commas in a response.

  I'm fairly certain there is no way around that. In html5 captivate puts the interaction in a separate folder. You may be able to modify the code here. I edited a bit of the code in order to eliminate the errors, and other formatting.

• Radio buttons - true/false question rating

  Hi all, it seems so simple, but I spent all the yesterday looking for an answer.  Part of the problem is that all the AIDS that I found are equally old versions of Captivate.

  I want to create a list of 10 questions true or false on the same blade.  It is important that they be on the same blade.  So, if I understand correctly, I can't use the regular quiz blade, but I need to use the radio button widget.  How can I mark these - exodus 7/10?  Work w / variables is really confusing to me.  Thanks for your help.

  Interaction of option buttons only has a SINGLE variable that can be attached! In addition, you will need to set this variable in project, Variables. I think you're actually trying to do something that you don't quite understand. I have written several posts on this interaction/widget. Take a look at the one I referred to the former position (on advice for widgets).

  I recommend first to try with fewer variables.

  1. Set the variables one project, Variables: v_one, v_two, v_three
  2. The interaction between radio buttons first and then type the name of the first variable v_one
  3. Do the same for the other two interactions of option buttons, associated with the v_two and v_three
  4. Write in the conditional, tip action
  5. Insert a button (may be a form button) to trigger advanced by action

• masking of the radio buttons

  Well, I've been up all night trying to figure this on my own. no luck. I am a print designer (25 years experience) and I took a project aiming to create an interactive pdf form. on the overview of the form and I watch some initial lynda.com training, I felt I could face it without problem.

  And THEN, a customer has sent additional info, asking that some of the options remains hidden if other options were chosen. That's where I have a problem. If I understand correctly, this requires my java script writing. Oh my!

  I read some threads here and have tried to apply (with adjustments in the button names) absolutely without success.

  I have 2 buttons:

  key 1:

  General: Bill Type

  Options: radio button choice: Admission status

  below this selection is a table with its own set of option buttons (where they chose 1)

  in this table, there are 8 buttons:

  General: Admission status

  Options: radio button choice (there are 8 buttons here): 33 X 34 X, 12 X, 31 X, 32 X, 82 X, 81 X and others

  now, press 2 (which falls under the table of radio buttons):

  General: Bill Type

  Options: radio button choice: the claim status

  Tower is, if they are found by selecting the button 2, the table of 8 radio buttons above it needs to not be available... they shouldn't be able to interact with radio buttons in the table, but I don't necessarily want to hide/disappear.

• Print multiple lines of page based on radio button choice group

  Hello... I have a PDF file that is a form of group request, consisting of 6 distinct forms. On the first page, I have 6 groups of option buttons "Yes / No".

  If the radio button for one or more of these groups is selected as 'Yes', then when button click Print (on the page) then the appropriate page range prints.

  It is desirable but not essential for them to be printed in a print job.

  I'm 7 Captivate allows you to create real scenarios of software that we use. Everything is going well, but there is a feature that is eluding me. Our software will report data for the user to check, but when the software sees a discrepancy of data, it returns the user a list of conflicts with check boxes for the user to decide what data to enter into the data system. See the screenshot of the application (with false data, of course)

  

  I use the widget of the radioButton reinforced with all the required parameters so that it can look like the software. I also have the advice of Lillybiri and do NOT duplicate widgets. All widgets are reports from the data very well to all varialbles and I advanced actions to assess whether learners have chosen the correct data of pairs before moving on. What brings great... except...

  The software OFFERS data for use when the screen appears. I have cannoot for the life of understand me how to check one of the radio automatically when the blade penetrates. I use the advanced actions when defining the variable to the data that the software suggests on the slide enter, but all the radios that are rendered as disabled. Currently, the user / learner must check each option button. On the live software, they simply need to varify the verified data are the correct data and move.

  Is it possible to check the radio buttons for the learner?

  And have you tried the reverse: have the widget appear slightly delayed? Could not try it.

  I had hoped that the new timer interaction could do something similar, but once the time it is stll 2 seconds waiting time and action only possible is a jump to...
