Capture device offline (Blackmagic DeckLink Studio 4 K)

Just getting a new computer with 64-bit Windows 10. I use a Sony Vegas Pro 13.0 try and capture works very well. I close Vegas and load up Adobe Premiere Pro CC test, but the capture does not work. I get "Capture Device Offline".

I use a Sony Handycam HD with HDMI, go to the map of the world BANK. I have the latest software/drivers for the card of the WB. As I said the Sony product works, but Adobe does not work. How Adobe that I buy a product that does not work.

I tried to change the camera's 720 p, 1080 p and same 480i HDMI output modes. I tried DV and HDV settings in the software also. Hard, trying to find a page of diagnosis in the settings of the acquisition card, you know, like Skype from your webcam. But the only real parameters are "DV" or "HDV".

Some help would be appreciated.

You re - install the decklink drivers after installing the first test?

All versions of first (Pro and elements) will capture only from a Ribbon ADHESIVE or VCR camera using a scanning (see below) device that is connected to a Firewire port on the computer

If you don't have such a device, or a Firewire port, you cannot capture from a camera to tape or VCR

  • Camera connected but still showing "Capture Device Offline"

    Hello

2 weeks ago, that I used the capture feature in Adobe first CC for the last time, with no problems. Yesterday I tried to capture a video cassette again, unfortunately not the capture window to say "Capture Device Offline". I can control my camera (rewind, playback, front, etc.), but just cannot click on the record button.

I use the latest version of Adobe first Pro CC (automatically updated 19 days ago) and I'm trying to capture with my camera Sony FX1000.

There are 3 days, my PC downloaded automatically updates Windows 10. This update is perhaps responsible for my problems?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Justin,

The first thing, in the first of the Capture settings, make sure that it is set to DV or HDV you like to match the band being captured. The transport controls are the same for either, but the video data are very different between HDV and DV. That's why you can have control, but no video, the format is incorrect.

The next thing to check - will record your DV or HDV camera. Windows detects DV and HDV cameras as two quite different. This same thing happened to me before - can control the camera, but no image. This is because the PC "thinks" he's talking to a DV camera when it is really a HDV tape you play, or vice versa.

Look in the menu of the camera - you should see options to set the unit of "DV, HDV or Auto. I think it's under the option 'VTR '. Unit must be in VCR mode to see this option, not fashion ENR. Choose the setting to match the tape you want to capture, DV or HDV. Do it with Firewire disconnected from the PC. This will "force" the camera to DV or HDV output via Firewire. Turning the camera off, 1394 connection, turn on the VCR mode. Windows will beep when the camera connects and don't know what will do 10, but Windows 7 always put a small message at the bottom right of the screen. DV camera would say 'Caméra DV' and 'HDV' Save as "Subunit STROKE".

If this does not resolve the problem, you may have to resort to using the Legacy 1394 driver in Windows. http://www.studio1productions.com/articles/FireWire-1.htm

Follow these steps should help you back in business

  • Message to "Capture device offline" when you attempt to add additional clips from HDV camcorder, in CS5

"Device capture offline" message when you try to add additional clips to an existing project in first Pro CS5.5.2.

Previous capture has been accomplished, but, then, in trying to add additional clips of the same device, it failed.

Every 40 minutes of excerpts of 185 was initially captured by using Sony Vegas Platinum 11 Moviemaker, without error. Additional clips of mt2 were then imported successfully into Premiere Pro after indexation, which conform clips, and they play perfectly well and high quality CS5.5.2 at 1440 x 1080i.

Why the Capture device would be offline, where no physical alteration has been made to the equipment?

    Jeff,

I'm now back at the base. Checked the anamorphic HDV on the server of the Studio and he was a con man, tired cable, the M6600 like me after spending six hours at an airport in China.

Replaced cable and everything is fine.

Thank you to all who tried to help.

  • Message "Capture Device Offline.

I borrowed SONY camcorder a friend to film some footage. He suggested Adobe Premiere for editing. I downloaded the trial software, and now I'm trying to capture video. I had to buy a firewire card to connect to my computer. When I load the first, I go to the project and try to capture, but over a black screen it says: "Device of Capture offline." I am sure that my card and cable camcorder are all connected correctly. I guessed this because when I connected them all, the camcorder screen went from saying "16-bit" on "DV IN". I read a lot of topics on this forum, but the solutions do not appear to be exactly related to what's going on here. I checked my device manager and there is no exclamation mark next to the IEEE 1394... or its subfolder, VIA OHCI 1394...

I'm only a little, computer savvy, so I hope someone can help. Thank you

  • No video signal Blackmagic Decklink and first Pro CC

    Hello

I need assistance with first Pro CC and BM Decklink.

I'm not able to get an output signal (external monitor, SDI and Composite) first Pro cc.

Audio output works on SDI monitor.

First off, it works very well with after effects CC and Blackmagic Software, so I'm pretty I'm missing something with the CEP settings.

I use a Blackmagic Decklink HD extreme (9.7.7) and the latest version of CEP.

Playback options are defined for playback Blackmagic (only), the sequence options are decompressed Blackmagic, 25 fps. video preview is Blackmagic AVI, Codec: uncompressed RGB 10bits.

If someone could help me with this, would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

What resolution is the calendar?  I had to happen if, for example, I have a chronology of 25 p 1920 and my monitor does not actually support P. 25

In After Effects output resolution is defined in the video preview settings, while Premiere Pro outputs regardless of the sequence is defined on.  So, they can be on different parameters, which is why we could work and not the other.

I use PC not Mac but I found the 9.7.7 drivers weren't very good with some devices and stuck with the 9.7.5.  I have not yet tried 9.8.  You could try their decommissioning.

  • Device offline in EP 3

I use PE 3 years on my old Windows XP PC.  I'm trying to make it work on my laptop which is now my main computer. The laptop uses Vista. Install goes OK, but when I try to capture (with a Firewire connection) I get the note "device offline.  In the section of the device menu options, "check state" says "Online".  I tried almost every combination of setting, but always the device in offline mode message keeps coming up.  I tried my setup again on the old PC and it still works on this machine, but I try to the commission because it is too slow.  Is there a reason well known for what works is not on the laptop until more date that I may have missed?  I know PE3 is old technology, but I love it and am used to it.  The laptop has only a 1.83Gh processor, otherwise maybe I tried to try EP 10, which requires at least 2Gh.  Thanks for all the responses you have ay. David.

First of all, make sure that this program includes the hotfix that updates to version 3.02. Version 3.00 will not correctly work under Vista.

Then manually, go to Windows Update and make sure that you have even updates not critical. Especially with Vista. These non-critical updates frequently include important driver updates.

This is your best bet. However, one clocked at 1.83 ghz is not enough to make a montage with any version of the program, unfortunately. (Are you sure that's not a dual-core processor? I'm surprised even Vista will run on a clocked at 1.83 ghz!)

You can also just edit standard definition video - ideally miniDV video tape - in version 3. You don't say what model of camcorder that you work with, but you may find it very frustrating to do any serious video editing on a laptop of low power. I'm sorry.

  • Blackmagic Decklink

I sent a request of Blackmagic as ask here.

    I have the Master Collection 5.5.1 on a 2 x 2.26 Mac Pro Quad-Core with 12 GB of RAM on OS X 10.7.2.

I have the Decklink Studio 2 card that works with AE, Photoshop, and even when you drag a sequence in the monitor source of creation.

But I can't get the Blackmagic Presets to load when you select a new Seqence in first. Blackmagic are missing only presets.

Is this an incompatibility of Lion?

    Steve

I just ran the 5.5.2 updated, uninstalled and reinstalled the video my Blackmagic returned sequence Presets and Blackmagic 8.6.1 office package!

  • Problem with Blackmagic DeckLink HD Extreme 3D and Premiere Pro CS 5.5.1

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the first and Blackmagic DeckLink HD Extreme 3D. When I create a timeline of Blackmagic of any sort and I import a film and start working on it, everything works as expected and are quite fast. I can see the image in the window of my monitor and the output to the external display of JVC is excellent (SDI). If I create another new project and in there I create a regular first screening chronology (in this case to edit Canon 5 d MKII footage) I can also change without problem (and with even better named Update).

The problem appears when I try to have a timeline for Blackmagic and a predefined regular creation timeline in the same project. If I create the chronology of Blackmagic first, I can import and edit, but at the moment I have create a first preselection timeline screen goes black for a second (which always happens btw) and then comes back again. So I can edit the first timeline screening perfectly but the chronology of Blackmagic image stopped appearing in the monitor window. I can play, I can hear and I can see it in the external monitor of JVC. But on the computer screen the only thing I see are images that paint on it and somehow stuck in there get it looks like some sort of overlay problem. After that if I close first he won´t close properly. I have to force it out. If I first create a first timeline preset that works just fine but when I create a timeline of Blackmagic this work won´t (the first timeline works fine)

So, my guess would be that first pass to a certain color depth or space when creating a first screening chronology and for some reason any the Blackmagic card won´t adapt or update so I find myself with no picture and the remains of some images that I place on the monitor window area. I can see the scopes and all waveforms but not the video. Also perhaps monitors and display port adapters have something to do. I'll change soon so monitors would be nice to know if it's part of the problem.

Any idea? Waiting to hear from Blackmagic too.

I had a similar problem with a Matrox card.  The solution was to turn on the composition of the bureau.  It is under properties - TAB, show - system on the 4th in the advanced settings list.  Some programs (for example AVID) insist on this being extinguished, but with CS5.5 I needed active.  I have not tested this with dark magic devices.  It don't has not caused me a problem with CS5,

What is the model of your Canon camcorder? If records to
media other than mini DV tapes, it will not import into Movie Maker.

Also... USB is not the best method to download... Movie Maker
has been designed to work with FireWire.

  • Capture Device Driver evil run on the computer.

Hello. I have a USB capture device that worked very well until I think it's the video editing software that it was bundled with the damn. I uninstalled the video editing software (was too big for my computer anyway) the device and its driver manager several times, but my computer won't recognize when I plug. The bubble of installation indicates that she installed correctly while Device Manager only lists it as an unknown device (he used to list by name) and properties manager says that a driver is not installed, while at the same time told me that the best driver that it is installed, it indicates also that it is plugged in audio wise with the chime you hear when you connect a USB device , but immediately after chimes that it was unplugged, even if it is not. What is happening here and how I might be able to fix? Windows recommends a replacement, but I hope it won't be necessary. The device driver manager is installed in the menu programs and features, and the USB driver is installed in Device Manager.

  • This is a video capture device?

Anyone know what it is? It came with a workstation about 5 years ago. I was under the impression that it is a video capture device, but I don't understand why there is a vga (?) connector on the end. Or I guess it's a connector series 15-pin. How can you "entry" for a video card? What do you give him? I suppose it could simply convert entered composite/s-video for a serial output, which then connects to a real video capture card. Isn't it? Video capture devices do not have their own composite entries?

If it is in fact a video capture device, is there a manual for this? How to use it? Is it good?

    Thank you

    Hello

    Method 01:

I would say go to devices and just by clicking on the Device Manager and updated driver for the device and check if you can get the drivers.

    Open the http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Open-Device-Manager Device Manager

If you have the drivers CD, you can try to install the drivers and see if it works well or not, can also try compatibility mode.
