Card reader driver LexMA

When you plug a Lexma 63-in-1 card reader my pc (Windows XP OS) replies: USB key not recognized. Same thing happened before with Activa card reader, so I replaced it with the Lexma. Original Lexma package includes driver, and States map is compatible with Windows XP and 1.0 and USB 2.0,1.1. Do I need a card reader driver? Where can I find one?

Hi ayal_843,

·         -What is the issue limited to the card reader?

·         Other USB devices work well?

Try the following.

Method 1: Run the Fixit tool in the following article.

Why my computer does not detect my new USB device when I run Windows XP or Windows Server 2003?

Method 2: Log on to the computer manufacturer website and update the latest chipset drivers and other updates to the device driver.

  • SD card reader driver for Windows 7

Laptop dv8025EA HP no. EK765EA product

Just passed under operating system for above laptop XP to Windows 7. Windows 7 operating system is Dell Computers.

One of the problemsI resulting, the SD card reader no longer works. The light blinks as normal, when I put the SD card into the slot of the card reader, but no AutoPlay dialog box appears.

I think it may need a driver to operate the card reader. I searched HP website for a card reader driver Windows 7 but cannot find anything. As a result, I can't transfer the photo from my camera on laptop camera.

A XP driver will do the job? or is there another solution? Thanks John.

  • Adding smart card reader driver

Are there guidelines for adding smart card reader driver?

There is a link at the bottom of http://www.blackberry.com/developers/docs/4.7.0api/net/rim/device/api/smartcard/package-summary.html to this resource page, but it seems to be dead.

Is it possible to get it also?

Thank you for this comment.  I'll get the fixed link.

For now, you can see the JavaDocs included with the BlackBerry JDE 4.7.0 release, which includes this missing page.

  • I have Win7 64 bit ultimate and from time to time when I start PC my card reader drives do not appear in my computer.

I have Win7 64 bit ultimate and from time to time when I start PC my card reader drives do not appear in my computer. Device Manager indicates that they are working correctly. Sometimes my dvd drives disappear. I have to do a system restore to solve this problem. For some reason any Win7 has problems with storage devices. How to stop these dissappearing from my Computer(or not getting a drive letter assigned) storage devices?  It's very frustrating. And, System Restore is not a way to solve this problem, it's just a quick fix. I have three internal hard disks, three hard drives, card reader external drives, USB keys, disks, etc. I need a way to solve this problem when it happens. So far, happened about 9 times in the last six weeks since I installed Win7 64 bit ATU.

There may be an update of the motherboard BIOS to solve the problem.

Otherwise, as your card readers are no doubt attached via USB the usual way to solve this problem would be to uninstall the drives and the USB controllers and devices in the system restore.

  • Smart card reader driver is sought on Windows update after inserting the smart card

We are in the process of deploying PKI project in our environment. Client computers have Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit SP1. We use McAfee Endpoint Encryption 5.2.12 on all clients. Our environment has a mix of Dell (Latitude E6400, E4300, E4310, E6410, E6420) and HP (EliteBook 8460p, EliteBook 2560p) laptops. There's no problem with Dell laptops at all.

With HP machines, however there are two problems.
    1. with the model 8460p, after installing the Alcor card reader driver, when I insert the smart card into the reader he begins to search for the drivers on windows update. In three minutes, it updates the drivers and works very well. My concern is when I install the card reader drivers explicitly why go to Windows update. HP 2560p also has the same card reader, but this problem is not on this model. I disabled the driver smart card research in strategy group as well. This behaviour is sparkle roll.
    2. when I enable smart card authentication on the McAfee console for any HP laptop and try to use my smart card on McAfee Endpoint encryption pre boot screen, machine freezes. Same configuration of McAfee encryption works fine on Dell laptops.
    Help, please.

    > Everything is OK, but I have problems withs pilots 'SD card driver ". I can't find something that works... I tried with WinXP old ones, but do not work

Win XP drivers do not work with Win 7, but you should try some drivers for Vista.
Try some drivers released for other series...

    Also try this:

You can go to Device Manager-> properties-> Details tab SC card reader

You can find something like that.
    PCI\VEN_1217 & DEV_7120

    FRI means provider
    DEV: device

Then, you can find the identification numbers using this database of the PC:
