Cartridges lights flash on full cartridges

My officejet pro K8600dn shows lights flashing on the printer cartridges, while the cartridges are full. Putting the printer turned off and didn't help. When I do a very strong push on the cartridges, that the lamps are going out and I can print. Then the lights flashing again. By the way: I only use original HP cartridges.  My desktop computer HP Pavilion and OS Windows 7 pro 64 x, has already the latest version of the software and the driver, but it does not solve the problem.

Using authentic HP inks? I would clean the contacts on the cartridges to make sure the accumulation of ink was not causing and delivered with the printer being able to read that the cartridges are inserted correctly. If after manual cleaning, you still have a problem, I would like to do a hard reset of the printer. A hard reset will attempt to restore the printer to a known working condition and no user parameters are lost with a hard reset. First of all, start by cleaning, I know the model presented is not the same, but the cleaning cartridge is what one wants to follow.  To do this:

  1. Open the cartridge door.

  • HP 5940 - color cartridge status light flashes with new HP 97 cartridge

Just installed a new HP 97 cartridge and the light flashing color cartridge status. Put in old 95 HP cartridge and the lights are out, but this cartridge is empty. I have cleaned all connectors (inside the printer and the cartridge), tried reinstalling several times. Any ideas or am I stuck with a bad cartridge? The only difference I see between the cartridges, it is that the 97 is a greater variation of the 95. Thanks for any help.

  • HP 6940 power, resume, right cartridge lights flashing continuously

I found my 6940 HP with power, which takes up and fires right cartridge like crazy. I did everything that I could Google to try to resolve the problem, several times in the course:

    • Power cycle, including remove the power cable from the plug
    • factory reset (report, press Cancel x 3
    • Remove/replace cartridges
    • move the rear cart & more
    • start without installed black cartridge
    • start without installed color cartridge
    • start without any cartridges installed
    • Check and check for paper jams (he was never that I can tell)

In each case, my method was.

    • Remove the power plug from the back, wait 15 seconds to replace.
    • Try something from the above list

In each case, the printer works fine for a few minutes. It's the ping requests, it is accessible via the integrated web page and a test page can be the printer. In each case, after a few minutes, the lights flash, and the printer is no longer pings or via the web page. When the lid is raised, the bar that prevents the cartridges come off, is stuck in the up position (preventing removal).

I'm afraid that the thing bought the farm, but I've always been happy with it and will not replace it (all they seem to do today are these monstrosities multi-function) if there's a chance someone knows something that can fix.

On the surge protector, I have always used an and reven didn't think that (not that I have now but I'll keep in mind of course). I used the guide you mentioned to troubleshoot not that it helped when I used the guide before it started working again after checking the USB connection. • The yellow light flashes on the printer.

    Original title: Printer problems

My printer print 1 page very well then the printer sounded like he wanted to do more printing, even though I only asked for 1. Now, the lite flashes yellow. I checked this: no paper jam. I cancelled all print jobs, just in case, although none showed. I disabled all the equipment, restarted and yellow button continues to Flash. The ink cartridge is new. I asked Windows Help for printer problems, none is shown. I asked Microsoft to help you, no answer. Any help is greatly appreciated. Just know that I'm not a cranky then please use the current language if you answer. Thank you. Jean

    Hi John,.

    Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community!

You have reached the right forum. Let us work as a team and try to solve this problem.

If I understand correctly, you have problems with the printer.

Please answer these questions to better understand the issue:

    1. What is the brand and model of the printer?

2 have you referred to the manual that came with the printer?

    3. have you tried to contact the manufacturer of the printer?

If the printer has an orange light flashing, this may mean that the printer has an internal condition 'fault' which is found only in the printer itself.

I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the printer for more help.

Hope the helps of information. Don't answer if you need assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • OfficeJet 7000 magenta light flashing

    Hello

I use inks compatible with my HP 7000 for awhile. I recently installed a new set of cartridges and ended up with a magenta flashing light on the printer. However, the printer still works fine.

According to the HP 7000 user's Guide, the flashing light of color means that the ink cartridge is missing or duplicate. This is not the case! By using the web server printer estimated ink levels indicate X,?,?,? for Magenta, Cyan, yellow, black. The question marks are to be expected because the ink cartridges have been recycled and so the printer is unable to estimate the ink levels. But why the level of Magenta have an X? This is probably why the Magenta light flashing. The Magenta cartridge is not empty. Replacement of the cartridge with an another Magenta does not change the X to one? The Magenta Cartridges come from the same manufacturer as the Cyan, yellow and black cartridges. Why Magenta appear different? Performing a reset, stop the printer then remove power, makes no difference.

I can live with the flashing light magenta, as long as the printer prints OK, but it would be nice to understand the question. Someone at - it ideas?

    Hi Shirlzz1,

Thanks for your answer to my question. Your link has been very good. I had never heard of 'windows of ink' front! Then I checked the ink window and found that I had to run out of ink! Oops! I have some egg on my face! Yes! But, why the webserver printer displays an 'X' against the magenta ink level? If I use (not HP) compatible ink, the printer is unable to view ink levels. Therefore, in the same way, let's assume that the printer cannot know when a cartridge is empty. It is not only a question of windows of the ink. One of my old magenta cartridges had a window of the ink and the other does not. Both displayed indicators of ink. In any case, let me not to lose more time. I adapted a new compatible (not HP) cartridge magenta and magenta light flashing stopped! Now, everything's fine.

    Thanks again for your help.

  • HP Officejet Pro K8600: Power light + resume light flashing after printing only one Page

After trying to print a document of several page, the printer produced a page and then the power light and the resume light (page feed) Flash. I also tried to print multiple copies of a page, but that leads to the same result.

I can get the lights extinguish by turning printer off then turn it back on. But it will always print that one front page the same lights begin to Flash. I did six times in a row just to print a six page document.

I went through all the steps in troubleshooting HP software. Not like searching for cleaning print heads, re-seats cartridges, etc., fragments of paper. Nothing seems to work.

    @Bob_Headrick

Thank you for your response. However, none of the suggestions could solve the problem. ALTHOUGH the light guide troubleshooting that you provided was close to the solution.

I came across the solution by reading the PDF manual for the printer. On page 77, it describes the power led + resume light flashing. One of the causes for this using EXPIRES of CARTRIDGES of INK, CARTRIDGES RECHARGEES or NON HP CARTRIDGES.

WARNING: It is important to note that if your printer is still under warranty, DO NOT DO THIS. HP notes in the manual using this substitution can void the warranty against damage caused by the use of faulty ink cartridges, obsolete or not allowed.

    SOLUTION:

While the power light and button resume flashing, press and hold the power button and press the button repeat 3 times. This replaces the "apparent" internal error message to use the cartridges you have installed. It may also cause a print cartridge alignment page.

    MY OPINION:

It is important to note the HP cautioned against it, it FIXED MY PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY! I know that the cartridges that I have installed are in agreement. Like many HP owners out there, I take advantage of sales and have stored on cartridges. I guess some may "expires" before you install it. In my view, the idea of "expiring" cartridges also somewhat falls into this column to "How can do us buy more ink?" What kind of market we create where it's cheaper to buy a new printer than to buy a new set of cartridges/toners? BUT it's a slippery slope... let's not go there.

  • Qosmio F20 won't start - power light flashes orange

My Qosmio F20-149 crashed yesterday and I was not able to get it working again. When I try to turn it on, the power light flashes on and outside (on: 1 sec, off: 1 sec) and the cooler fan operates at full power. When I press a key, there is a genre or a sound error. otherwise no reaction of the laptop; even the CD player does not open.

I did no RAM-implementation to date, and I use the original power supply Toshiba. I tried from the laptop using only the battery, only power and on both. No change in the reaction. I tried all possible combinations (with a free one, both... etc) of my two cards, RAM (512 + 512) and still no use.

    I am really puzzled.

If I understand you just your laptop sends a blink code. Copy the following code appears so laptop has detected a problem with the electronic power supply.
In this case, there is nothing that you can do and the laptop must be sent to the service provider allowed the closest.

They have manuals containing instructions and the exact description of the code how do I solve this problem.
Sorry, buddy, but I do not think that anyone here can offer an accurate diagnosis for that matter.

  • 32D1334B LCD TV - not light power light flashes red & Green

I have a Toshiba 32D1334B LCD TV, it used to work perfectly well and then all of a sudden, it will not activate.
When I plug in the TV, the power automatically light flashes red and green permanently. There is no way to turn on the TV; the screen remains black.

I had to take off the back, watched and deleted all the parts, but can not see the obvious problems. I also a multimeter and power to the various sections of the TV is, but that's as far as my electrical knowledge goes!

I don't really know what else to try, but I am very reluctant to throw away the TV that I know it's probably a unique piece that needs to be replaced to fix it. I searched online and others have reported the same problem exactly, but it had not resolved there always. Unfortunately, TV is more under warranty... If anyone has any suggestions or can provide any help, then it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance.

If you find out how to fix it please let me know because my tv is the same.chris
