cast problem

In the extract VI I joined, I have two questions.  (1) why is the data of the two different poles (Brown/pink) pipe, and (2) why can't I cataloged in the type of VXI_Data?

The Brown wire means that the cluster has a set size.  All the elements that are of known size.  The pink wire means that the cluster size is not known.  Because a string can (also) have a variable duration, there is no way of knowing the size of the cluster.  This is probably why the second instance may not be used in a cast.

What are you really trying to do?  Perhaps you could flatten your data to a string and then he unflatten leave a string.

    I could do it like this
    DECLARE

    BEGIN
      SELECT to_char(sysdate,'mon-dd-yy:hh:mi:ss') INTO v FROM dual;

    Hello

    I think you want something like this:

    DECLARE
      v varchar2(25):= to_char(sysdate, 'mon-dd-yyyy');

    BEGIN
        DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(v);

    Object untypedresult = (HashMap) client.execute ("conference.enumerate", params);
    HashMap result = untypedresult (HashMap);
    Object a = result.get ("Conference");

    I broke it down to the individual lines until I learned what is happening. But beyond that, I can't find any way to cast of the HashMap outside. I tried lists, tables, collectors, games, etc nothing works. There is only one key in the HashMap parent I care and will always, which is "conferences".

  • Strange problem casting between the DATE and time STAMP

    Hello world

    I'm faced with a problem of strange casting between the DATE and time STAMP. Strange, because this happens in SQL-Developer and the Testdatabase, but not when called from inside SQL-Plus, even if all Session settings are set to the top completely equal.

    I work on the Oracle 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 Windows database and run the following script, taken from SQL-Developer script output:

    Look at the strange data that stamp_copy was after the update.

    When run from SQL over, everything is fine. But when I run this code in our application, the same phenomenon occurs. I've even seen a data dating back to the year 11907 (!), giving an exception by selecting from the table.

    Someone at - it an idea on how to work around this bug?

    Best regards

  • Problem with cast/color tone of images in LR catalogs

    About 4 days ago I came across the following problem.  Unfortunately, I don't know of a good way to describe this, so my research in the forum and knowledge base are coming short.  Ideas (or better yet, solutions) would be greatly welcomed.

    The isssue is that any image that I discovered, in any of my LR catalogs, is displayed correctly as all images are only to show the cyan values or orange. (I don't know the right term for this, but it seems that Miami Vice took my camera. Dark tones appear as orange, while lighter ones appear as cyan.)  This occurs regardless of the type of file (jpg, cr2, crw, dng), folder and catalog.  Reset import everything or parameters of development has no impact.  The histogram displays what I see in the previews.  The jpg exported from any image of the catalogue is displayed correctly - no cast.

    Here's what I have:

    LR 3.2 (improved to 3 04/09/10)

    VIsta SP2

    I hope that it is a matter of simple adjustment, something that I have inadvertently changed...

    When I view the DNG existing on my hard drive in another program (Fast Stone Image Viewer), they will be displayed correctly. I tried a variety of other stuff (uninstall 3.2, returning to 2.7, compensation of previews in memory cache, creating of new catalogues, opening the backup catalogs, etc.) without success. So I think that something is wrong in Lightroom only.

    In the screenshot below, you can see the alteration of the color in the flag and pine needles.  Others capture screen shows how images are affected in the same way.

    Thank you kindly, Alyssa

    Looks like your display profile is watered... re-profile of your screen.

  • Casting poses a problem-how to fix?

    Response to a question I asked in April (see Deanglicise? Deamericanize? I have this function that takes in a string such as "publicize, promote, assign, italicize ' and spit on"publish, assign", removing redundant duplication of the suffix - ise, - IZE:
    create or replace function deise (instring varchar2)
    return varchar2
    is
           v_outstring         varchar2(32000);
    begin
    WITH T AS
       (SELECT  1 rn , instring
           TXT
              FROM DUAL)
    select  substr( string, 2 ) into v_outstring
    from (
     select TXT ,  rn,  pos, row_number()over(partition by regexp_replace(txt,'[ize|ise]') order by pos ) n
               from ( SELECT   TXT ,  rn, position pos
                   FROM   T
                         MODEL
                         RETURN UPDATED ROWS
                         partition by ( rn)
                         DIMENSION BY (0 POSITION)
                         MEASURES     (TXT , NVL(LENGTH(REGEXP_REPLACE(TXT,'[^,]+','')),0)+1 NB_MOT)
                         RULES
                           (TXT[FOR POSITION FROM  1 TO NB_MOT[0] INCREMENT 1] =
                          REGEXP_SUBSTR(TXT[0],'[^,]+',1,CV(POSITION)) )) t)
    where n=1
    model
    return updated rows
    partition by ( rn )
    dimension by ( row_number() over (partition by rn ORDER BY pos ) as position )
    measures ( cast( txt as varchar2(4000) ) as string )
    rules
    upsert
    iterate( 1000 )
    until ( presentv(string[iteration_number+2],1,0) = 0 )
    ( string[0] = string[0] || ',' || string[iteration_number+1] )
    order by rn;
    return v_outstring;
    end;
    Works very well, in general. Sometimes, however, I have "ORA-25137 Data Value Out of Range" errors and the line it lists as being at fault is the one who reads the measures (cast (txt as varchar2 (4000)) as String).

    I tried that bump up varchar2 (8000) or, indeed, to varchar2 (4001), but he refuses to accept anything more than 4000. (He is 10 g Release 2, 10.2.0.4).

    Is there a simple way to rewrite this function so that the casting is possible (for example) a CLOB?

    Catfive Länder wrote:
    Well, this certainly seems to be (a) a much simpler code, and (b) very successful code! The outputs seem appropriate for any entry that I could throw at it, although I'll have to do some tests much more, of course. :-)

    I realize, I push at this point, but could you maybe explain what you consider bad/excessive/redundant on the original code? I am at a loss to understand why the initial necessary so casting further suggestion / what do you have when you seem able to drop it and achieve the same type of result. Not really to be a developer of any sort (Tubby, take note!), I'm really not in a position to judge if this is 'just' compared to the original, and your ideas as to why this code all that is needed, and the original is excessive or inefficient would be useful, I think.

    Basically, MODEL is a new feature and I'm not an expert in it. But without a doubt your condition does not require the use of the MODEL clause. A simpler approach more is enough.

    (Salim champion) who offers the MODEL approach just like the TYPE clause (not saying anything wrong thereon) and tend to solve the whole problem with him;).

    Now, I would like to add to your comments on suggestion of francs.

    I personally don't think it's a bad idea. Why?

    1 SQL is basically a language used to work with data stored in the table.
    2. your condition does no table or the data in the DB. It requires even a DB.

    I think that your understanding of the rule of Tom is incorrect. He suggested that, especially when you're dealing with stuff with database.

    You condition does not require a database. If I where a java developer, I would in a java code Miss to make a call from DB. The call to DB it would be much more expensive than code written in Java.

    Anyone know what they mean by '' number, table or property ''?  There was an earlier instance of pick - whip position layer in this tut and I had no problem.  But this time I'm stuck. I checked the reviews on the site and noticed others had similar problems, but no one seems to have ventured to a solution.

    Any ideas out there?

    Looks like you might be pick - whip to light itself and not the Position property of the light.

  • with problems of casting timestamp to date

    Hello

    So here's what I have... I have a timestamp in my database and I need to return it as a date (because what used to work in WL8.1 now gives me a java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: could not convert this to java.sql.Date in WL10). If I change my query as follows:

    I'm not running my old query to get a sample:
    Select col_key, col_time, col_other
    FROM table1 where col_key = "a".

    ... and I get to col_time * January 11, 2013 1:18:04.354261 PM'*... well.

    So, I take this value and I proceed as follows to test my format:

    Select CAST (to_timestamp (January 11, 2013 1:18:04.354261 PM', ' DD/MM/YYYY HH:MI:SS.ff PM') AS DATE) double;
    works perfectly, returns the date: 11/01/2013 13:18:04

    In view of the foregoing I apply to my old query:
    Select col_key, CAST (to_timestamp (col_time, ' MM/DD/YYYY hh:mi:ss.ff PM' ") AS DATE), col_other
    FROM table1 where col_key = "a".

    and I get a "ORA-01858: a non-digit character was found here where was waiting for a digital".

    ... where am I wrong?

    Thank you

    Martel wrote:

    Well, what you are trying to convert a string to a timestamp and then convert the timestamp to date. That works, if you pass a string.

    If this is not the case... then how to return a timestamp as a date column?

    I already showed you in my sample code!

    I tried to_date but there is no formatting for milliseconds so why everyone suggests to_timestamp... and if this does not work then what can I do? WL10 convert timestamps java.sql.Date, so I need the request to give him a Date instead of a timestamp.

  • table problem (cast)

    I have two variables collection v1_coll and v2_coll (both are the same type of table 'tt_coll' and 'rt_coll' is a record type)

    tt_coll is the rt_coll table;

    v1_coll tt_coll: = tt_coll();
    v2_coll tt_coll: = tt_coll();

    now I'm populating the v1_coll in a select clause...

    SELECT... from table1, table2, table3 in v_coll1 where < many joins >;

    now, I want to fill the second v_coll2 of the first collection collection.

    I don't want to make a loop, assigning to each line of the first collection in the second...

    then, I sank the first collection of table and do a select on that in a second...

    SELECT... in table v2_coll (cast(v_coll1 as tt_coll));

    but it's a failure... Please help me...

    You will need to use types that are available for the SQL engine. If you are using types of records or derivatives of this then it do not work because the SQL engine is not aware of them.

    You cannot use local collection types in SQL. You must create a bin_array of type like nested SQL table type. In addition, depending on the version you will not cast:

    SQL> CREATE OR REPLACE
      2    TYPE bin_array
      3      AS TABLE OF NUMBER
      4  /

    SQL> create or replace

  • Problem of cast to array of bytes in array of float

    Can someone help me find this process I am doing wrong?

    • I read a string of 6 tanks during the series.
    • I take the string and convert it to an array of bytes.
    • I then reverse the byte array because my microcontroller first sends the LSB and Labview is Big-endian
    • I catalogued this table in an array of float
    • I invert the table again to retrieve the data in the original order

    I can see the bytes in the array of bytes as 'byte, 0, 0, 0' when there are a small number, but when I I cataloged get very large or very small floats. Can someone help me understand this?

    Thank you!

    LabVIEW 2011

    You should probably use string unflatten, select the byte with rule of the little order and use a DBL 1 d array type. Everything must fall in place without all these gynastics bit, what you're doing.

    You can show us your code? I don't understand your use of "decimate the table."

    My blues are supposed to be blue electric/royal, but I'm close to the Navy. Violet is also in shades clear, but not as obvious.

    My nozzel checks look good, I did a cleanup, tried a few different profiles...

    All advice appreciated. The image below is an idea of what I see. I'm not in a piece of color balanced to take a picture of my impression with the monitor. Thank you!

    Fixed! I got on the Horn with support canon technique. Mary told me download Print Studio Pro. We made some adjustments and I now have a good impression. the result is great, but the process seems like a band-aid to put on/in photoshop. I wonder if the question is more photoshop, or even more with the software of the printer... But, Cannon was very helpful, the whole process takes about 30 minutes.

    I am importing jpg files in FCP7 and color moves (loss of cast red/green)

    They look perfect in the Finder, but Import FCP color changing radically (almost as if its been would be CMYK).

    They were taken out of the PS in the form of Adobe RGB files.

    I made files. No difference.

    I tried to juggle the Gamma setting in Prefs. No difference.

    I'm not aware of 'walk' any generic color output in FCP it would cause.

    I can't seem to find all the messages describing this problem or difficulty, advice very so gratefully received! Thanks in advance.

    Andy

    FCP 7, Mac Pro, etc.

    MacPro 12core; 12 GB of Ram; HD 2 to Mac OS X (10.11.5) FCP 7, DVDSP 4

    MacBook Pro OSX (10.7.4)

    Response = process as sRGB (that worked for me)

  • There is still a huge problem of compaction of the mailboxes

    Once more I heard a person in great distress because Thunderbird removed some critical mail messages. In this case they went to get the mail and gave him a TB ALERT, and told him he had no place in her dressing room IN (there was a huge 20 messages). Thinking that the file was too big (which is a logical deduction of a message "no more room") it compacted his IN box and then there were 4 messages. Other messages have disappeared.

    And worse, all the information on the forums are explanations and the defence of TB - as if it was his fault to be compacted, not backup or (my favorite) - an article that says TB is just do what it says to do.

    When we combine this with all the traffic of other message here and on other sites about the loss of emails the only thing that is clear is that the modules dealing with indexing and compacting of the mailboxes are tragically flawed. Unfortunately and that's the problem with free software #1 - product builders are doing it for ego, no money, so once they decided that their program is fair and users are mistaken - there it sits, cast in concrete.

    Thunderbird has been and is still a leader in form and features but lose data user - for ANY reason-EVER - is and will always be the fault of the developer and no - EVER - users shouldn't have to change its behavior in order to avoid a problem that the developer does not know how to fix.

    Of course, there are a solutions - each a work-around to avoid a bug.

    As an explantion, I can offer this info.
    Emails are not stored in individual files.
    They are stored in files mbox, an e-mail listed after another in the order they have been downloaded. If all emails in an Inbox folder, as shown in the folders pane are all in one Inbox file.
    When you choose to delete a message, this message is "marked as deleted" and your Visual point of view, it is removed from the Inbox folder in the folders pane and reappears in the folder "Deleted".
    In reality, it is always in the Inbox just "marked as deleted.
    When you compact the file, these emails "marked as deleted" are deleted, thus creating more space and store the file.
    If you do not compact the folder on a frequent basis, the file gets more and wider and at some point may be damaged due to lack of maintenance. Then Thunderbird is perhaps not in a position to say where there is a clear end of the deleted section, therefore resulting in losing a good email.

    So, as all documents etc. on your computer, you must do a few basic things to reduce the risk of data loss.

    Use the information you learned in the link "keep it works."
    Use the Inbox folder as a folder, Inbox, and not as a general storage.
    Compact records on a regular basis.
    Create backups on a regular basis.
    "Options of the Archive"allows to reduce the size of the files, including the "Sent" folder.
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/archived-messages?ESAB=a & s = Archive + options & r = 0 & s = ACE
    Archived files are always in the profile Thunderbird and always as accessible and also require backup.

    Losing emails is a pain and can be troublesome say the least.
    But if you follow the guidelines, then, you reduce the risk of experiencing a problem.
    I've manually compress my inbox every day that I will probably have a dozen deleted messages.
    I save every month and leave emails on the server for a month, then only between the two, anyway to lose, I can probably recover most if not all emails.

    If all goes well, this explains what has likely occurred and how to manage things so that in the future, you are less likely to suffer from corrupt files and more likely that you have a loss, there is a backup plan that you can use.
