Cause outgoing audio notifications to drop

On an iPhone 6 running iOS 9.3.2,and if I am in a call, and the device will receive a notification (for example, a text message or timer), then the recipient is no longer hear me or just to hear me, but I can still hear them.

Here is the exact scenario:

  1. I have my all settings in my message notifications marketed and style alert defined on banners
  2. I call my friend Alice or she calls me a cell call (i.e. no FaceTime) and we talk, and all is well
  3. Bob sent me a text during the call

What I expect:

  1. I would like to hear a notification, but Alice would not
  2. A notification appears at the top of my screen while the phone app continues to run
  3. Alice and I are still talking

What is really happening:

  1. I didn't hear no beep and don't see any notification
  2. Alice can not hear me, but I can hear it, and the call does not fall
  3. My screen goes black, if it was not already
  4. I press the main button on the phone and I see the notification of the text and the screen is locked (not requiring my access code to unlock)
  5. No action I can take restores audio of me, so I have to hang up and call Alice

The only solution I found is to turn on 'do not disturb' ongoing appeal, but even in this case, if the screen is still on, while this is the case, I lose audio. Or the case of a timer or some other notification which is not blocked by the do not disturb mode, I lose again audio.

I tried the things:

Factory reset the phone and then restore my data and applications

Evolution of banner styles and alert sounds

Nothing works. Any advice?

Interestingly enough in the texts stopping the phone's microphone when you are on an active call. Good measures so far with the adjustments of Notifications and do not disturb.

With the factory reset, it's fairly intensive troubleshooting.  Depending on how you did this (iTunes or erase all content and settings on the iPhone), we want to try to test the question without your data backup on this subject.  Allows you to isolate it for something in the backup or data causing it or if it's a software issue.

If you have a backup, let's go and use iTunes on a computer to restore iPhone to factory and set it up as a new phone.  Test the microphone on a call with a text.  Then, if it happens again, it is probably a hardware problem to be checked by a technician. If it doesn't happen after that, then you can restore your data and backup or bring back your data manually.  Using the backup has the risk of the issue being in this backup.  So restore it might bring the issue and need to restore to set up as new before you wear your stuff manually.

    I narrowed down it to just for Skype. When I get a call, if it is call me and someone answer or I pick up a call, within 10 seconds, my Windows Audio Service crashes. I find the updated driver, Skype version updates, Windows updates. Everything.     Hey guys, sorry for the long spam of which is downstairs, but it really drives me crazy, and I want to remedy. Any help would be appreciated. I've included all the information that would be necessary and I am very competent with computers (programming, technology, etc.)

    Hi all.

    First of all, I would be grateful very gladly any idea here because I'm totally stuck with this tent to record a voice on the track.

    The title is pretty self-explanatory. I work on Mac OS X and first Pro CS5 and I would like to record an audio track, but the USB microphone is not displayed. I have already read several forum discussions and followed the steps, but this problem has not yet been mentioned.

    That's what I did several times without success:

    1 - Connect the USB cable and check that MacOS recognizes. It works very well.

    2 - in Premiere Pro mark taken as a track record. Error message because no input device has been declared.

    3 - premiere Pro > > Preferences > > Audio-Hardware-> no microphones on the menu drop down.

    4 - Open audio and Midi and I add all microphones to Premiere Pro (Line-In, built-in and USB device).

    5-return to step 3: reopen the project > > Preferences > > Audio-Hardware-> Line-In and integrated appears, but not yet of micro USB.

    I was able to record with the built-in microphone, but I don't know what is happening to the USB one. In fact, if I go back to step 4 and open the audio and Midi, boxes that I had checked once reappear unchecked.

    I don't understand what is happening. Thank you in advanced for your help.

    I'm a PC guy, but if I had your problem I would try to turn off the microphone integrated and entry at the level of the BONE, so that the only possible option for the operating system and applications of line would be the USB microphone.

    I use a Logitech USB headset and Pr CS6 has no difficulty to recognize or record with her.

  • Windows Media Player 11 Graphic Equalizer causes Vista audio problems. ___

    When I insert a CD to play, it seems fine. However, when I tear on the hard drive, when I play it, it sounds horrible. The sound fades in and out when I apply the settings of the equalizer, but yet again, this does not happen when played directly from the CD.  I tried to update the drivers, but it does not help. Any rip format I use, or audio quality I use, this is the case. I tried 4 different suppliers: eMachines, Dell, HP, and Compact. The same problem exists. I even tried different sound cards without success. This would lead me to believe that this is a problem with WMP 11, himself.

    Does anyone have a solution to the problem?

    The problem started when I switched from XP to Vista. WMP never worked properly on any Vista machine I've tried from different suppliers.

    I found a resolution. I use Itunes instead. It doesn't have the same question.

    I had a finished project and went to show to a friend. I got a new Blue Yeti USB microphone plugged when I opened the program. Now no audio cannot be heard through my speakers, and in the "audio" section, he said the microphone and the speakers (does not work).   • Don't Palm Centro (AT &amp; T) no calls incoming or outgoing audio

    When make or receive calls, I can't hear the caller at the other end of the line.  In addition, the option of touch screen to activate the speaker (or turn off my bluetooth headset, if it is active) is no longer present.  Some callers can hear me speak.

    pTunes now also only play through my headphones.

    Maybe in relationship: I had occasional problems getting my phone to stay off when I turn it off, and at least a display claims that I call you instead of Maryland North Carolina.

    So, I tried all the resets, called customer service AT & T and Palm customer support.  The consensus is that I'll end up paying $200 to repair or can I buy a new phone.

    One thing you can try is to plug and unplug headphone plug about 10 or 20 quickly in succession.  It seems that if you set the switch which indicates the unit plugged headphones.

    Plug and unplug, you can retrip the switch and headphone jack should work.

    Regarding the phone showing you in another State which is entirely based on the settings of the network and the phone number by the carrier.

  • Razor tool Causes audio go Out of Sync

    New Premiere Pro and video editing in general. I have an hour long video (.mp4) that I recorded with my Sony Xperia phone. I have been using the razor tool to cut and remove things I want, but it seems that it causes the audio go out of sync. I rechecked and the audio is certainly synchronized before starting to edit the video.

    Any ideas?

    It would be good to check if it is the CFR or video VFR, as more phones record video as variable rate, but may record audio as a constant. MediaInfo is good at that...

    If you "drop" your file on that and look in the tree on the video stream, it will tell you if it is a constant or variable framerate. If variable, use:

  • Audio port / motherboard can be broken; What could be causing it?

    I tried searching for my problem, but found nothing relatable.

    I had problems with my audio for quite awhile now. I can plug in my ears to iPhone in order for me to get a good sound. Whenever I have pull the plug, even just a little bit, the sound goes ears my speakers.

    I asked here in my region (Netherlands) and people say it might be expensive it is fixed, especially since my warranty is disabled (I had it for a year). But still, I would like to know the price in euros.

    Can someone help me to make sure that what causes the audio problems? -Just in case where it is not my motherboard or something like that.
    I have also thought about buying a sound card USB external sound so that I have sound, but since my ears iPhone work properly, I just thought it would be better to wait with it.

    I solved it by simply buying an external/USB sound card... I could have fixed it another way, but it would cost me about 300 euro, because it is a motherboard problem.

  • HP Power Assistant causing audio/video Stutter - laptop Elitebook 8560p, Windows 7 x 64

    I recently noticed periodic audio and video on my new laptop I wanted me to rid of stuttering. I did not notice the stuttering when I bought the computer a few months ago, and if my memories are good it seemed initially after some recent automatic HP updated a few weeks ago.

    The stuttering happens about every 30 seconds and occurs for any playback video or audio source (cd, youtube, itunes, etc.), with only about 5% CPU and about 30% of physical memory use average. I followed the stuttering to coincide with a small wave 3-4% CPU of a WmiPrvSE.exe process. This process runs and the rise of the CPU occurs regardless of program initiation or reading after start-up, I just noticed cause stuttering during playback audio and video. After further investigation, when I kill the HP Power Assistant, the CPU and stop stuttering video, although the same WmiPrvSE.exe process remains (since I assume it's used by a lot of things?). I stopped the HP Power Start Wizard at startup (using msconfig), which solved the problem without having to stop every time I turn on the computer myself.

    Now, I'm content to let this be my system, but the HP Power Assistant is an interesting tool to track the energy consumption, performance, etc. and I think that it should not cause stuttering audio and video, especially with such a small CPU surge. Also has anyone seen this problem? Is this a problem with the HP Power Assistant or could there be something more vast I only put a patch on?

    On Windows XP, I got audio notification when hitting Caps Lock.

    Is it possible to activate 7?

    Yes.  Go to search programs and files that immediately precedes the Start button and type "toggle" and select "Change how your keyboard works" and select "Activate the ToggleKeys."

    Another way to get there: go to control panel > accessibility > Ease of Access Center > make the keyboard easier to use - then select "activate the ToggleKeys.

    Currently join/leave audio notifications are not yet supported, but will be in the next version of telepresence 4.4 server should be out later this year.

  • Crack suddenly / audio distortion via USB interface

    I use an iMac of retina end of 2015, which is connected to a USB AG06 Yamaha interface. The interface provides an audio output to my studio monitors.

    For these months, audio works flawless, but all of a sudden yesterday things got ugly. Briefly the sound works (often less than 30 seconds) then crackling / distortion occurs, causing finally audio fade out and back in. The problem is temporarily resolved if I disable the interface and turn it back on. I have not changed the settings or installed new applications - the question is just appeared from nowhere.

    Initially, I assumed that it was the fault of the USB interface, but I tested it on another Mac and it works without any problem. I tried to restart, stop, uninstall all additional audio devices, and disconnect all other USB devices, but the problem is still there. I tried other USB devices, including a Schiit Audio USB DAC on the iMac even, and it also works without any problem.

    all USB audio devices act the role of being a card usb external audio such always needs a driver, don't know if there are any drivers for the card generic usb audio if I was you, then I go to yamaha and look for an osx for your version of driver for their product

    Apple do not have drivers for hardware devices of third party if included in osx, then it is because the developers of hardware committed a pilot tested and improved Apple and became part of the osx installation

    If a new version of Mac OS x is installed, and yamaha has not committed a driver or the same clerk driver than the last time and he could not test it because it displays the questions you experiences in some cases, and you are upgrading, then there is no new yamaha rider so your system just stick to previous driver

  • Audio plays more when Firefox is not the 'active' application on the desktop

    Just updated to the latest version (10.0.1). Audio plays now is more if Firefox is not the 'active' application on the desktop. In the past, I was able to open the Firefox browser, go to a site to listen to the audio, then go to another application on my computer and the audio would play again through my speakers from the firefox website. Now if I do that I lose audio, unless firefox is the 'active' application, which means that if the bar blue top on the browser is blue and not dimmed. I tried the Add on "Always on top" and this does not solve the problem I have. I looked through the various settings and did not see a solution. Can someone tell me if it's change-able or if it will be is no longer possible through browsers firefox?

    DOH! Feel like a jerk! Understand my problem! Sorry! Uh, I (or probably any other) had put the audio for the other app I was using (Avid editing software) on mute, causing the audio does not sink when the firefox browser was not "active".
    Someone else has a similar problem should check to see if the other application you use has the sound 'on '.
