  Got two iMacs a 24 "OS 10.6.8 and one running OS 10.11.4 27" and both have supported by Time Machine.

  Hey, JSammy.  I had mine works again with the help of someone from another site.  Here's what you need to do: press the green call button, then the menu button.  Select options, then on options General, highlight "dial from homescreen" and the value. Save and exit. Now on your home screen, press "O".  After that, the General menu options will come.  Choose the option 'theme' and choose a different theme or return to the default value.  This should be all your application icons to reappear.  After doing all this make sure you go back to reset the "dial" since the homescreen on 'yes '.  I hope it works for you.

  Hi, I hope you can help me... My missing desktop icons with hotbar after a reboot, but the text is there and programs can still be opened. Thus, my Dowes does not open. Any idea how this can be? I ran Antivirus and malware programs already tried rebooting several times, by clicking on the desktop and then 'show icons', Ive tried everything...
