CCC.exe is not closed properly - Satellite A135

am running Vista Home Edition on a laptop Toshiba Satellite A-135.
Often, when I stop, I get a screen saying that the ccc.exe file does not close.

This program has to do with the display on the screen, I know, but I don't know why it isn't close.
What happens next is a bit weird to watch: most of the black screen, or a ghost of my desktop image can stroll, while the taskbar flashes.
It goes on for a minute or two, then finally the closing of Vista screen and it stops as it should.

But it seems to take much longer to stop when this sequence does not occur.

It's more embarrassing than anything else, but nobody knows how to fix?

Michael J

Hello

CCC.exe is the "Catalyst Control Center and it belongs to the ATI graphics adapter driver."
I m not very well why it's disorders, but you can first try to clean the registry using the CCleaner.
If this is not enough, then you could try to reinstall

    Hello

    I installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on my U400 PSU44E - 14 p.
I found all the drivers on the official website of Toshiba (thank you) but one in the origin of the problems: TPSMain.exe does not start when I start the computer.

Once I type my password and login, I hear a typical Windows error sound, but no message is displayed. I noticed that when you try to start the Toshiba Power Saver utility from the Control Panel, I got an error message telling me that I have enough privileges to run this utility...

    I am the administrator!

If you guys encountered the same problem and got a hint of trouble, feel free to post here. THX.

I have a Toshiba Satellite U400 and I installed Win XP too.
I have a user account administrator and Toshiba Power Saver works properly!
No problem don't like on your system!

However, in the Toshiba Power Saver Settings (installation options), you can find the option called limited allows the user to change the settings and allow different actions for each profile.

    Check that both are enabled!

If this doesn't help then reinstalling again this tool.

  • disconnect me correctly but when I connect in a message informs you that basically it is impossible to open my page due to another one not closed properly before. WHY?

Disconnect me correctly every time by ensuring that all windows are closed, but every time I log in a window appears saying "well, it's embarrassing, we find it difficult to open your page (or something nearby, I don't remember the exact words) then down, he says"it is usually due to a window being open (or close to that) then it asks me if I want to close or restore the session. and list the last 2 pages that I opened.
But I ALWAYS close them before disconnecting. Why he keep doing this? Do we not have a clever hacker or something?

Hi lexi, it is currently a problem in firefox when you close all firefox windows open first and then close the application subsequently - the bug should be addressed in a more recent version of firefox.

a workaround in the meantime, you could close firefox (via firefox > quit) while the browser window is still running or try this: enter: config in the firefox address bar (confirm the message information where it appears) & search preference named browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash. Double-click it and change its value to false.

  • Internal microphone does not work in Satellite A135-S4677

    Hello

I recently bought this laptop and checked the manual for the internal mic. It is said, it is supported in some models and I do not know if it is supported in the S4677 model I bought. I found there is a small hole near switch wifi, but do not know if it is built in mic or not...

My question is, I have used yahoo Messenger and appealed and concluded there is some internal mic and I tried to talk to and nothing I heard back... Could someone let me know what could be the problem.

    Hello

your machine has no internal microphone installed. I googled around a bit and found this info on a site of a dealer featuring the available ports and so on.
You will have to use a headset (conencted to the microphone on your computer port) to connect with other people on MSN, Skype, etc...

I hope that the information helped you.

  • Battery is not working properly - Satellite A100-407

    Hello

    I have an A100-407 I since March 2007.
The battery works less than half an hour... even when the battery was again - what can I do?

First he must know that battery working time depends on the use of the laptop.
This means that the battery discharge much faster during execution of applications and high performance programs.
What you could do is change in power options of some parameters such as the lowest display brightness. Lower the display brightness means low battery power consumption.

I see that your battery is underway for 1.5 years battery loses the own performance after about 500 times of loading/unloading procedures. Is behavior unusual simple battery.

So, as you can see, there are a few reasons why your battery works less than half an hour.

In my view, that a new stronger battery would help allows you to use the laptop much more time with the power of the battery only.

  • I need drivers Win XP Display for Satellite A135-S2246

    Hi all.

I need Win XP Display Drivers for Sat A135-S2246.

Please tell me where I can get.

    Hello

As I m not wrong this Satellite A135-S2246 has been designed for the American market and therefore you should take a look at the Toshiba page to find compatible drivers for this model of laptop.

I found the link to the Toshiba page we:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/home.jsp?NAV=download

If you will not find the right driver Xp on this page, then you will need to seek other sites the compatible driver.

I think the laptop is using the ATI graphics card, so you could test some drivers of the European driver Toshiba page too.
For example, check out the Sat A110 series graphics card driver.

    Cheers & good luck

  • Can not read the HARD disk capacity properly after the upgrade on my Satellite A135-S2276

I have a Satellite A135-S2276 and I recently updated my 80 gig HDD with a 320 GB HARD drive and drive C shows only 72 GB of available not the 300 - ish that it should have. I did some research and it seems that it should be there, perhaps simply not visible? Update the BIOS?

    Any suggetions?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think that the A135-S2276 supports SATA HDD so I doubt that the issue of the LBA48bit could be the reason.

I found the details here on the Toshiba page we:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/modelContent.jsp?CT=DL&OS=&category=&MOID=1596141& rpn = PSAD6U & modelFilter = A135-S2276 & SelCategorie = 3 & selFamily = 1073768663

In your case, I would recommend formatting the disk HARD whole again.
In addition, you should check the size of the HARD drive in the BIOS.

Generally, if the HARD drive has been recognised in the BIOS correctly then the OS should see all 320GB too.

  • Satellite Pro A40: TPSODDCtl.exe - Ordinal not found

    Hello

I reinstalled my Toshiba Satellite Pro A40 with XP sp2.
Since then, Power Saver have begun to return this error:
«Application popup: TPSODDCtl.exe - Ordinal not found: the 21 ordinal not found in the library of dynamic links TPSMainCtl.dll.»

I already removed energy saving and reinstalled again. Energy saving does not work well, m but every time this error apears I restart computer.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

    Thank you for your attention.

    AF

    Hello AF

It's really not easy to say how this problem can be solved. Usually the new facility could solve it. This kind of problems is not easy to repair on easy way. If you are a user with lots of experience I suggest you remove all records related to energy saving, even entries in regedit (be careful).

Then, try again to install energy-saving. Sorry but I have no other suggestions.

If you will be able to solve this problem please let me know.

    Good bye

  • Satellite P200 accidents + message: graphic card driver does not work properly

    Hello

hope that this issue has not been covered before, but I've owned a Satellite P200 for 3 years now, and this week, it crashes all the time.

When it started going down he gave me a few messages in the sense of "your graphics card/driver does not work properly and windows will be arrested to avoid damage.

It has progressed to the point where now when I turn it on, I have vertical lines running down the screen and the screen flashes on and outside. Within 20 seconds, it restores the BSOD - 'there was a problem and windows will be arrested. Error Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area"then stops.

I ran a system restore but the problem remains.

I have a feeling that my graphics card is toast. Is this good? Are there any other options to try? Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Matt

    Hello

    Sounds like the GPU problem.
But try the graphics card driver update.
Use the most recent driver for your graphics card.

In addition, clean the fans of portable computers.
Dust and debris could prevent the cooling fans to turn with the best speed and this could lead to a higher temperature which would lead to overheating.
Use a jet of compressed air. I also use it and it helps to get rid of dust and debris.

If this is not enough, then a problem of graphics chip would be possible.

  • Satellite L775 - mouse pad does not work properly

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L775. I run Win 7 Home Premium. My mouse pad does not work properly. I also have a Logitech Anywhere MX wireless mouse. I tried the mouse pad to work properly with the key FN and F9, but it does not work. And you really have no idea if that turns or out of the mousepad anyway, subj for another time I guess.

What does not work, but I have to do is to go to Control Panel then mouse option load that and just scroll the tabs without changing what each time and then close and the touch pad works. But only for this session. If I have my laptop nearby, or turn it off, I have to start throughout the whole process.

What's past and how to fix this?

    Thank you very much.

  • Satellite Pro M10 - infrared does not work properly

    Hello

I have a Satellite Pro M10 and my infrared does not work. I downloaded the zip file with the drivers from this site. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it always happens in the Device Manager under "unknown - SMC IrCC - Fast Port infrared (IR Module: HP). (with an exclamation point). When I look at the properties it says under device status:

This device does not work properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

However, under Driver Details is said:
    C:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\smcirda.sys

I extracted the zip file in my home directory of c:\downloads\infrared.
whatever I do, it does not now. It worked when I bought it, but I have too many things on the system for a new installation. Which brings me to another question. Is it possible to re - install windows without losing all your data, etc.? I did it with other systems (95,98) Windows. But it seems that the Toshiba recovery disc means any wiping.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hello

If your HARD disk contains two partitions and you have saved the data on a second you can reinstall the operating system on the first partition using recovery DVDs.
