• Copy update files to a flash drive

  I would like to copy all the files and directories that have changed since a date structure specifies my iMac to move them to a flash drive and then to my PC.  I used to copy using the "XCOPY" statement when I used PC, such as xcopy C:\Documents G:\Documents/s/v/e d:01 - 01-16.  It has worked well.   Is there a way to do this from an iMac?

• How can I stop my sync to hang out at "preparing to copy items?

  I have a 6 iPhone with IOS 10 and the latest version of iTunes.  I tried to reset the iPhone and reinstallation of iTunes.  I also tried to sync an old iPhone (also with IOS 10) and he hooked when copying updated apps and never completed the synchronization. Synchronization with my 6s actually ends and I can start another sync. Sync again, however, is never really started and it crashes.  If I unplug the iPhone and plug it back, the same problem occurs.

• Split 13 x 2 can't update the bios

  I have a new split of HP 13 X 2 computer laptop / tablet. I have upgraded to Windows 8.1. Tried to update the system BIOS but it fails. I have Kaspersky Anti-virus turn off when you run the update and my account is Administrator status. Evry time I try and update the bios, I get an error "failure" and said copy update has failed. What should I do to fix this?

  Just flashed manually with a USB key. Appears the utility tries to copy the update to the bios on hp/efi/bios on partition 2, but I can't find how to go from Windows, even with hidden folders to display. The update tool the wish was easier and you can specify where you put the update from version 'dumbed down too low to be useful.

  Steps to Flash manually:

  1 use the bios tool to copy the files to a recovery USB drive. It will create a Hewlett-Packard folder. In BIOS and the BIOS update, but the update f19 falls within the bios/current.

  2. with your PSU AC plugged, reboot the computer. Once the screen goes black, start hitting ESC.

  I just bought an external hard drive as a back up to the top of my HDD main.

  How I have changed/added files copied automatically to the new drive without continually an updated copy of my hard drive, CPU, manually make a deletion/copy update.

  I can do through synchronization, and if so, how?  Ideally, I would like to do a copy/sync to the computer output.

  There is nothing built-in to Windows that does what you want.

  See if your external hard drive came with a backup program.  Other possibilities:

  • For automatic and continuous backup, take a look at Rebit save speak.
  • For programs that can synchronize files on a schedule or manually, look second copy, Karen Replicatoror Microsoft SyncToy.

• Updating a shared report?

  In Discoverer Desktop, is it possible for a user who is NOT the owner of a joint report to edit and save the update over the original version? I have a group of users who all want to be able to access and update a single report, but it is heavy for them several times to save their own copy, update, share back and keep track of who has the most recent version. All my Googling indicates one workaround solution is to let the newspaper as a unique user, which is a violation of our security policy. Is there a better way to do it?

  Only the owner of the workbook can save / replace.  A user in which the workbook was shared, can save a copy of the workbook.

  The new runtime environment has an internal variable called 'data' in the class of symbol. The code in this composition also uses .data to store some values user who modifies the internal state of the symbol at run time and translates into js errors. If you change the name of the data variable to tell _data, it should work. I have already done in the actions.js file, and enclose the copy update here. Please do a double check at the same time, it is used in many places, and I could have missed something that I don't understand the domain logic in the present code a lot.

• Impossible to move from ESX 4.0 update 4.1

  Hi all

  I am trying to upgrade my servers ESX 4.0 to 4.1, but I'm running into an error.

  I did the following:

  (1) download the update1a package and copied to the ESX host in the /upgrades folder

  (2) put the host in Maintenance Mode

  (3) connected to the host via putty

  Navigated 4) in the folder with the copied update

  (5) run the following commands: esxupdate - stage ESX410 - 201010001.zip bundle

  (6) restarted ESX host, again executes the command, still the same error.

  When I run the command, I get the error the server below.

  The package you have there are a lot of patches for ESX 4.1, you are currently on the 4.0.

  You will need to upload the complete bundle of upgrade to 4.1 from the download site instead of the one you have.

  Problem solved, all by myself, without benefit of Adobe FAQ or knowledge base. I discovered that the plugin Flash player in the Firefox plugins folder is not affected by the Flash player un-install installer or update.

  Solution to the problem: uninstall an earlier version of Flash player. Flash player plugin [NPSWF32.dll] remove Firefox plugins folder [C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Plugins]. Run the installer of Flash player update. Copy updated the plugin Flash player [C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\macromed\Flash] [NPSWF32.dll] file in the Firefox plugins folder. Now, everything works as it should have done in the first place.
  Note: My OS is Windows 98SE - folder locations can be different for other versions of Windows. My fixed applies to Firefox. I don't know about Internet Explorer - who uses it, in any case.

  I did the DLL from the parameter class. Then I added this class to NI TestStand and calls a function and this function returns an object of type status.

  Is there a way by which I can access the data members of the object returned in TestStand?

  Yes, there is another alternative. If you state a value type (i.e. a struct in c#) then you can tell teststand to store it in a corresponding data structure TestStand rather than an object reference variable. It works even for the private fields in your structure. To do this:

  (1) first to report a type value and no matter what other changes are needed in your code to take account of this (value types are copied when it is passed by value to another method, if this isn't what you want you will have to pass by reference - i.e. the c# ref keyword).

  (2) recompile your assembly.

  (3) in the specification of module Panel TestStand .NET, you should now see a new button next to the expression for the return value of type status resembling TestStand data type icon. Press this button and it will prompt you to create a TestStand custom data type that matches the type .NET. Select this option to save the type in the type palette file MyTypes.ini. Just do it once. Once the type is in your palette file type MyTypes.ini it will be available then and you must only update if you change the type .NET.

  (4) create a local variable of the TestStand Custom data type instead of the object reference. Note that you can expand and see the properties under.

  (5) use this new local variable to store the return value of status. TestStand will be copy/update the properties of the variable to match those of the .NET structure that the method returns.

  NOTE: You can also simply store the fields of a struct in separate variables increase the return value of type status once it is a struct and specify a separate variable for each field instead of creating a custom data type TestStand.

  Don't forget that TestStand makes a copy when you store a struct that this way replaces the struct when this will not appear in the copy.

  I also have the same problem. It stopped working during the period from February 2009.  I completed all the steps in this thread several times without success. I ran the command line (in admin mode) and I tried to disable other software that I felt could interfere with this as well. no luck. I've looked everywhere for a solution.

  I'm on Vista Ultimate installed an update on Vista Home Premium on an HP Centrino Dual Core laptop with 3 GB of ram and 250 GB HDD. I am a developer of software (mainly .NET) and many related tools on my pc. I also develop in Java, PHP, Python, Oracle (PL/SQL), MySQL, MSSQL and associated tools. I'm in office to distance and software virtualization, as well as continuous and software integration of source control. I don't think these things affect what she just arbitrarily up and stopped working. But anyone know of all the conflicts?

  Please tell me that Microsoft is working on a solution to this. There are times I hate Vista. I planned to go back to XP Pro (and don't tell me that Windows 7 is going to be the solution to my problem - I have the beta version running, and there are things I don't love about it as well). In fact, if I could run native Visual studio 2008 on Linux, I would just do that (and believe me, I considered using Linux as main OS and installation of XP Pro as a virtual machine - I can still do).

  Just to let you know, I shared this issue since the last forum post- http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/f542d04f-f959-4af3-8b51-5e0e3065cc1c - as he was already selected as replied and there was a lot of criticism being placed to that thread.

  80070002 as suggested by previous post, involves the removal of temporary files, and then reinstall the update file, and then upload a new copy updates and implementation - after using the CHECKSUR tool.  As you have tried these steps, could you please tell us which update tries to install every time you start your system.

  The previous person has 3-3 updates, and he would start at 0%.

  In addition, you can run a SFC SCAN on your system to ensure that there is no corruption of file on the desktop operating system.  I realize you are using Virtualware to your desktop computer as well, it exists in each of the virtual office?

  More important 1 - What is the update that does continuous and the smallest Error 80070002?  and 2.  Please run the System File Checker to make sure that there is no any corruption of system files.

• Windows PC Refresh deleted windows 8.1 and I want to improve help :(

  as the title suggests I recently had to refresh my PC to get certain keyboard and internet connectivity issues fixed. Problem is that refresh deleted my copy updated windows 8.1 and now I'm back to the old windows not updated 8.

  Ive tried to install updates, but it keeps telling me to restart to complete update and at this point, I think that Ive rebooted my laptop more than 25 times and I still can't to 8.1 windows, so I can get my windows 10 copy that I booked.

  In the first place, if you are unable to start on your system and get the installation of updates, I suggest you to try the steps in the following article and check if it helps.

  "Configuration of the Windows updates failed. Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer"error when you try to install Windows updates

  Note: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

  
  

  The question may arise if the Windows downloaded update packages are corrupt. So, if you are able to start the computer successfully after following article provided above, I also suggest you try the following steps and check if the problem persists.

  Method 1:

  Try to run that Windows update utility provided in the following link.

  Try to install the updates after running the troubleshooter.

  If the problem persists, try the following method.

  Method 2:

  I suggest you to use Deployment Image Servicing and Management to fix Windows Update errors.

  (a) open an elevated command prompt. To do this, press the Windows key + Q and type in CMD right click on command prompt in the list and select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.

  (b) type the following commands. Press enter after each command

  • DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
  • DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

  (c) close the command prompt, and then run Windows Update again.

  Check if the problem persists.

  My laptop restarts randomly with a mistake that we called BAD_POOL_HEADER.
  I'm not much of a gamer, BSOD occurs when im reading PDF, editing documents, watching movies.
  I know that I had this problem when I brought my lappy, but it has increased since the week last 2.

  In my event log, I saw so many critical mistakes [kernell power ID:41, task category event: 63].
  I couldn't event 8.1 update, whenever it crashed when I tried to do an update. So I stopped to do an update.

  And now since this morning I have no why, my processor and disk % use maximum.

  I thought it will decrease thereafter, but they do not.

  I hope someone can find a solution to my problem.
