  I have discovert that was missing only 3 GB of the 20 GB that I deleted before trying to install SuSE. But I deleted all the files that I specified after the crash. The trash is always empty so I'm a bit confused were are the 17 GB.

  We recently had a wave of power cuts, the end result being that my motherboard got fried.  Today, I replaced the motherboard, processor and memory on the PC, but after turning on the PC, I now get a message saying that I need to activate Windows.

  I phoned the number of the support provided for the United Kingdom and automated processes, but eventually to be told that it is not possible to activate the copy of Windows.

  I am afraid that you cannot re - initialize the BitLocker after the replacement of the motherboard as the TPM secure is removed or changed. A TPM Module (TPM) is a chip that is integrated into a computer. It is used to store cryptographic information, such as encryption keys. BitLocker uses the TPM module to help protect the Windows operating system and user data and to ensure that a computer is not tampered with, even if it is left unattended, lost or stolen.
