Appreciate any help you may be able to offer.
Unplug the printer from the computer and follow the instructions below. Let me know the results.
- Go to add/remove programs.
- Uninstall Officejet Pro 8600. If you see the other programs related to the 8600 Officejet HP remove them as well.
- Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed.
- Restart the computer.
- Go to devices and printers, select any printer, then click Properties of (top-right) print spooler, click the drivers and make sure that the driver for the 8600 is gone.
- Download the latest driver for your printer and reinstall.
Performed a clean installation of Windows 10 Pro on my Dell OptiPlex 790. Everything went well and all device drivers have been installed except one, the Intel AMT - GROUND device. The vendor id is 8086 and the device id is 1C3D. Can help you with this question?
It seems that it is the Intel Series driver LAN. Your computer was never tested by Dell for Windows 10, which means there is no new driver created by Intel, etc., that can work. You can google Intel AMT/GROUND and see if Intel has a driver for your chipset that can work. It looks like Dell stopped supporting your computer for Windows 8.0
Help, please! I have a laptop Toshiba SP 6000 and after download win 2000 sp4 on the internet have completely lost my CD-ROM/DVD-Rom drive. When I go to my computer and Device Manager it has a yellow I and following the warning "windows cannot load the driver that windows is unable to locate relevant data' and it has error code 31? I've been on the Toshiba site but don't know which update to take! I really need help.
Well, it the very strange question s. normally after the installation of the new operating system must be recognized the CD/DVD driver.
I have studied in the web and find nice websites that describes this problem.
Check this site:
I recently bought a second hand Satellite Pro, but it seems to be without a DVD player and has only a weight saving plastic 'trick' in the Slim Selectbay.
I know that my laptop is now discontinued, but it is anyway to acquire a Slim SelectBay DVD - ROM drive, because they are not for sale in the "Accessories" section.
In my opinion, you should contact partner in your country. They can order each hardware component or any part of the accessories for each model of laptop computer independent of how old the model has.
I installed the game Viva Pinata on Windows XP Pro in English when I try turn on the game there is a message like: unable to locate the DVD - ROM drive.
On the other computer (Windows 7) it works very well!
What does not help?
-Instalation of safedisc.exe.

· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
· The installation of the game Viva Piñata was successful?

Original title: why Windows Media Center does not detect my DVD?
I built my computer motherboard ASUS P658D, Intel i7 processor clocked at 2.6 gHz, 12 GB RAM, 750W Corsair PWR. power, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit & ie9. When I put or the other two DVDs in one of two DVD players, Windows Media Center appears and when I click on "Play DVD" Media Center give me a window that says:
"Windows Media Center cannot detect a DVD in the DVD - ROM drive. Insert a video DVD in the drive." Two DVDs, I've tried are educational for DVD
my Nikon D300 Digital camera and a family video DVD or both these very well play in a bed of same computer running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, & ie8.
I tried Microsoft Fixit, no help. I tried to send Microsoft Support, and I got NO HELP. I did not bring any changes, and installed any program, just
scoured the internet. A DVD player is a Sony Optarc with Microsoft Driver, the other is ASUS. I also tried to use Windows Media Player but nothing
rises or it returns me to Windows Media Center and it does not detect to play either of my DVD. How can I get help here, or from Microsoft? Thank you.
No, there is no yellow warning in Device Manager and the device manager says that two DVD players work properly. Mr. Fix it's
automated download from microsoft that is supposed to automatically fix some problems, but he provided no help here. I think it is more likely
that there is a problem with Windows Media Center or Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and either of my two new Sony DVD drives
I thought my way in a solution. My thought was: Device Manager indicates DVD players work properly and both are new and we're Sony, and the other ASUS so I think only an unlikely problem with readers. The problem is with Windows Media Center "do DETECTED is not the DVD. So there must be a problem with Windows Media Center. I thought that I might need to reinstall Windows 7... then I thought that maybe if I just reinstall Windows Media that will work. He did. My problem was:
Start > Panel > programs and features > features on or off Windows activate > then uncheck the box for multimedia functions > restart the computer > and then re-check the box to restore the multimedia features > now both discs play both DVDs, I tried. Both disks are operating normally. Reinstall the characteristics of media Windows 7 resolved the problem. Thanks to all who offered solutions.
I have a new computer for my work. However, my Acrobat 9 pro is a CD and my new computer is not a CD-ROM drive. How to install this?
You can download the Acrobat 9 Pro form this link products download Acrobat | 9: 8.
I totally messed up my DVD - ROM drive. After graduating the famous blue screen of death once yesterday and once today, I thought that my PC settings reset would fix the problem. Then, I pressed F2 when my computer starts and resets all settings. Unforunately, this is something serious to my DVD - ROM drive. Initially, it did not work, so I opened my computer and somehow got it works. But now, it does not detect the disks I insert in there. I get the message "no DVD - ROM drive found."
Anyone know if it's fixable? I hope I don't have to take my computer somewhere for repair. Unforunately, I don't know the make or model of the hard drive. My the PC features that I think are important are listed below.
I watch this thread, so if I'm on my PC I will be notified by email of responses.

Version of Windows 10 Home 1607 (Build 14393.187)
After Windows Update Version 1511 1607, the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive does not work.
The D: drive does not appear in Windows Explorer,
CD-Audios and videos / DVDs do not work.
In the Device Manager, the following legacy status error message appear:
"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information.
(in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19). »
Could you tell me how to solve this problem?
The solution was to uninstall the program "Toshiba Recovery Media Creator' and system settings/Programm features.
I still don't understand why, but the fact is that after uninstalling the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM start normal work.
More information here:
The CD-Rom drive in my Toshiba Satellite 1110-Z12 (bought 01/2003 in Holland) becomes completely unreadable when I insert a CD protected by "Controlled copy" (IFPI). And I mean, berserk, he upped power at an incredible speed of spinning - very strong - and afraid he will break down.
These are mainly EMI productions such as:
-Norah Jones: Feels Like Home
-Joss Stone: The soul Sessions.
I know that these copy protection systems can never break or damage the use on CD players (standalone or computer).
How can this be repaired? I never found the firmware update for the CD player on the Toshiba site.
As much as I m did know, is it possible that the General of music that are "Controlled copy" by IFPI do not work in the drive of your laptop.
My Toshiba protégé M700 Tablet came without a CD/DVD-Rom drive. What brand/model will fit in this machine and where is the best (and cheapest) place to the source of this element.
I found some info that Portege M700 comes with drive of DVD Super-Multi Panasonic UJ-852STJ-Z.
I wonder your one comes without optical drive.
Another device is placed instead of ODD?
My CD-ROM drive can't detect CD or DVD. I used the "fix it" tool from microsoft, and it detects that the driver is out of date, or it needs to be updated. I tried to uninstall the driver via the Panel control and restrating my laptop settings to see if it will reinstall the driver automatically but it still fails.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I would be very grateful.
You can try to change the registry.
I have a Toshiba SD-M1222 DVD - ROM drive. I recently bought a new machine DVD + RW internal separate.
Discs recorded on DVD + RW not reading no problem in my other internal DVD players, but when I try to play them on my DVD-Rom on the PC, I get a message "disc not recognized", even though I have set up the record to be compatible with other players.
Is there a way I can get the DVD + RW discs to play on this DVD - Rom drive?
Sorry but there is no way to change this. These are two different formats. I have the same situation with my Satellite.
If you want to have more information about DVD formats google everywhere.
I just replaced my DVD ROM drive, but I had a problem.
It is a new DVD rom drive I ordered at TOSHIBA also.
It could not be detected by Windows:
-Tried to check on Device Manager, not detected
-Tried to reload the driver, the same problem
Whenever I tried to re - insert the disc, the blue light in the control panel of my P20 beds (I understand, which means that the P20 detects the drive) but I don't understand, is that why Windows XP does not detect it or it does not alarm or error messages.
Try to use the Add Hardware option.
This question is very strange, but I read on some sites, sometimes a whole new OS install CD player, brings back to life.
