CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive ejects do not.

Original title: DVD/CD ROM DRIVE

CD-ROM/DVD-ROM drive ejects do not.

Hello

1 how long have you been faced with this problem?
2 did you recent hardware or software changes to your computer before this problem?
This could be if the DVD player does not work or drive DVD tray is stuck. Check if the DVD drive light flashes when you try to use it. If you see the light flashes, it means that the DVD drive tray is stuck in the opposite case it means that the DVD player has stopped working.
If the DVD drive tray is stuck then, I suggest you to contact its manufacturer. They would help you with manual opening of the status bar.
If the DVD player does not work then, please try the methods below.
Method 1: Run auto Locksmiths and verify.
Method 2: Look for a yellow or red fringe on the device for DVD player manager and send back the same.

Thanks and greetings

  • My DVD - RW drive (E :) does not work

    Hello everyone

My DVD - RW drive (E :) has stopped working. It has stopped reading DVDs but it will play CD and CD-ROM. My drive D (CD - RW) work well and plays the CD and CD-ROM without problem.

I have a Dell Dimension DM051and Windows XP Professional SP3. The problem E drive is HL-DT-ST DVD + RW GWA4164B

I used Device Manager to try to solve the problem, but it wrongly States "this device works correctly. I tried 'Drives and troubleshooting of network adapters' but it was too 'unable to resolve your problem... " I reached the "you need to install or update a decoder?" and do not know if I have to buy a decoder from one of the Microsoft recommended "solution providers" to solve the problem or not? Are there available free patches? I downloaded the relevant E113.zip Support of Dell, but this too made no difference.

The DVD player is on the correct DVD region.

I tried Microsoft guided help clean boot, but it was "impossible to download right now" and was told to try again later.

I tried Microsoft Fixit 50027 and concluded that "media in the CD/DVD drive is not readable (HT-DT-ST DVD + RW GWA4164B) the drive is empty or the media format is not supported..." "No not fixed"

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you very much

  • XPS M1530 CD ROM drive eject not

    Yes Yes Yes,

It finally arrived. I inserted a dvd in rom and now it will not eject... I called technical support for assistance. They said they were going to get a techie to call me within 24 hours. It is now more than 3 days...

    If you bought a mac...

go to the to call once again... maybe I'm not important to them...

I have a similar case here but mess up my laptop did not work for me.

Here's what I did. When you press the eject button there is a blocker of cd in the middle of the slit that moves down to allow the cd to eject. However this blocker cd upped prematurely before the cd eject thus blocking cd and there is our problem, will not eject the cd. What I have done I have a small screwdriver (flat) or whatever it is that has fine point at the end press the eject button and try to feel the blocker CD through the screwdriver and you can feel the movement of this blocker as it slides up and down. Press eject again and through the driver try to prevent the blocker climb before the cd ejects. He has not worked for me at first, but a few tries, I got the best technique. Good luck!

The Setup is the same which is available online or in your mailbox, you need the serial number to authenticate purchase which is there in your Inbox.

So, Yes, you can download the software as the trial of the Adobe.com site and then serialize it with the serial number on the box.

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
correctly. Since it accepts no disc do not forget to remove ALL the power and control the
cable connections - remove and replace (at both ends where possible).

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

Brand of the CD or DVD drive can also be the problem. Low quality (cheap brands) are always problematic.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

    a shot.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

drive from someone with the same model.

Use DevManView to locate the CD/DVD in the registry (be careful and do a prior Restore Point)
nothing change) - find the DevManView device and then make a right click on it free in RegEdit.

DevManView - free - an alternative to the standard Windows Device Manager, which displays all the
devices and their properties in flat table, instead of the tree viewer

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I configure my computer to boot from the CD Rom drive

I have Windows 7 home version and I have a problem with booting from the cd rom.  I did a cd bootable for a work at home job, but it will not work properly.  It works fine on the desktop of my sister, but not my laptop.  What is happening is the CD loads when I restart my computer, but then it goes to a black screen and just stays there until I have eject the CD.  I can hear the CD running, but I get nothing after the initial splash screen.  I have reset the bios to make sure that the CD-Rom was placed up in the boot parameters.  Any ideas why this CD will not completely loaded?  Thanks for any help you can give.

    Gayle

Please note, in order to install Windows 7, you must have a DVD player, if you have a CD-ROM drive, which will not work.
