CEP HTML Test Extension "html1.

It is supposed to be representative of the performance of production extensions somehow?

I opened a web page very simple, albeit one with a moderate number of embedded tables, images and

links and this is the slower load that I've ever seen. I want to talk to more than a minute.

Probably not. This extension has a lot of content to demonstrate all capabilities of the CEP is not an example of a real life workflow.

  • Adobe CEP HTML Engine on Windows 7

    We used to use the Creative Suite, but were forced towards creative cloud, what a nightmare.

    Since switching to the CC, everything takes 3 - 4 times longer to actually open and then do whatever it is in one of the applications, so thanks for that.

    One of the biggest problems is that stupid question Adobe CEP HTML Engine. Any time that you open a CC application, we get 4-8 of these processes running as separate and he kills every PC, CPU usage spikes and everything collapses.

    So, how "fix us" all additional processes run?

    We don't need collaboration also, then, how we completely disable this part of the CC so that resources are not totally exhausted by CC each time a program is open?

    CC and apps are all to this day, we tried various 'solutions' suggested here, so what is the answer to Adobe? When this gets fixed?

  • What is the 'Adobe CEP HTML engine'? It uses too much of my CPU.

    I'm trying Photoshop CC last 10 days. He's fine, but now, whenever I opened, the workspace is flashing white and the processor works slowly, avoiding the actual use of Photoshop.

    In the Task Manager I identified this process 4 called: "Adobe CEP HTML Engine", using many processors %. Close them down, I went back to Photoshop and it is possible to work again, until the next file.

    Whenever I have start PS or leave the workspace with no open file, it starts. So, I have to go back to the Task Manager and complete the same process again once.

    How to solve this problem for good? Is it related to Behance?

    I use a Dell laptop, Core I7, 8 GB RAM, 64 Win10.

  • Record. HTML Panel Extension JSON file

    I develop an extension that creates a range of data as a javascript object. I want to allow the user to click on a 'save' button, navigate to a directory (optional) and save the json file that is created in the HTML session. I tried a download link (similar to what I would do in a web page), but that does not save the file. Is there an effective way for a user to save xml, json, or txt to an HTML Panel data?

    Well, I have a working version using jsx:

    function saveJSON (txt)

    {

    txt = JSON.stringify (txt)

    var Name = app.activeDocument.name.replace (/ \.) [ ^\.] +$/, '');

    var Path = app.activeDocument.path;

    var saveFile = file (path + "/" + Name + ".json");

    If (SaveFile.Exists)

    saveFile.remove ();

    saveFile.encoding = 'UTF8 ';

    saveFile.open ("e", "TEXT", "?");

    saveFile.writeln (txt);

    saveFile.close ();

    }

  • Oddity with stderr

    Hey friendly Adobe peeps,

    I see a few quirks with stderr, maybe you can help. I reuse this code of the CEP_HTML_Test_Extension:

    var createProcessResult = window.cep.process.createProcess ("my_fancy_process", "arg1", "arg2");

    gPID = createProcessResult.data;

    var stderrResult = window.cep.process.stderr (gPID, {function (output)}

    document.getElementById("StdErrResult").value = output;

    });

    ... and I'm out stderr, but is cut off - even if the process continues - when I do some things in my python scripts. For example, if I use the python json module to load or unload data. Sound the bells? It's almost like first loses track of the MIP in some cases. Maybe there's another way to get reliable stderr?

    I get the same result by using directly the HTML Test Extension CEP > native functions > process API > Set StdErr Manager.

  • CEP Plugin: it notifies the C++ code html events?

    Hi all

    I'm new on CEP Plugin development architecture. I have a general query where I want to go forward according to the answer to my questions.

    (1) can I load a web page from server on CEP Plugin? (I would like to connect to my web site and need to know if I am connected or not http response).

    (2) events support CEP as a URL change on the Web page and send notifications?

    (3) provide the way to call the HTML page C++ functions? (where I'll do most of the operations and want to manage events such as when the click on html element)

    Thanks in advance,

    Hey,.

    in my opinion you need to divide CEP tampon() and extensions. The Plugin is the part of C++ using the SDK (somehow backend) and the Extension's user interface - of course you can do the same things here and there.

    (So the HTML extension can do everything you can do with HTML and JS - so, 1) and (2) actually.

    It is the CSInterface for the communication between the Extension and the Plugin, so you can send a notification HTML<->C++, pass it and make 3)

  • At Adobe fixd HTML CEP engine problem for Mac users?

    Hello

    I cancelled my cloud creative membership because of the CEP HTML engine burned my heatsink in my macbook pro. I would say this:

    Whenever I used a creative applications cloud my Macbook Pro Late 2014 edition was very hot and the fans would lead immediately. I thought nothing of it to start with as I am user of After Effects and Premiere Pro, I expected a lot of the CPU usage. It took a few weeks after getting creative cloud that I started using indesign and other applications and this problem happened again. I decided to look at my activity monitor there is Adobe CEP enginer program support html using 100% of my cpu power, and then everything else on top of that eventually meant that my macbook is dead.

    I disassembled my mac, and the radiator was completely fried. After repair my mac myself and all other programs works well I'm careful to again become creative cloud because of this problem.

    It has been fixed?

    Thank you

  • Update HTML files with nonstandard file extensions

    I use DW8/Mac to update my company's Web site. Recently, we have decided to make the site multilingual. To this end, our web server has been redesigned with multiple views. All the .html files have been renamed to. HTML.en and others. HTML.es files have been created for the Spanish version. And here, I came across a series of problems:

    (1) DW8 does not recognize files with. HTML.en &. HTML.es extensions to HTML. I scoured the Internet and found a solution for this one - I edited the /Configuration/DocumentTypes/MMDocumentTypes.xml file in the installation of DW to include new file extensions: .fr & .es. They now appear correctly coded by color in the editor of DW. Yes, Jose is more a problem, unless the DW gurus could direct me towards a better solution.

    (2) the real problem is this. Since I changed the file extensions for HTML files, the files are up to date is no longer automatically once I modified a DreamWeaver template file. I rebuilt the site cache - did not help. I tried "Edit-> Templates-> update Pages... ', this does not work either.

    I even tried to open a single page and make "Edit-> Templates-> apply a Page template", by checking the check against "Page updated when the template is changed" was present. Doing so change the page, but only once. Whenever I have change the model, this page does not change, because it is supposed to.

    Please advise!

    I'm not sure that this will help the problem of model, though.

  • Restart the extension on its closing

    Hi all

    I'm doing a plug-in for InDesign that I need that he should continue to run after the user closes the Panel.

    My understanding of the structure of the extension is that it has 4 main parts (only not including plugins)

    (1) the main engine of the CEP

    (2) the manifest.xml

    (3) the HTML and JS engines

    (4) the jsx engine.

    When closing the HTML Panel, associated JS files will stop working, a "com.adobe.csxs.events.WindowVisibilityChanged" event will be fired at the CEP 6.1 but the JS engine will have already launched the bucket before it can receive event RIP.

    The main engine of the CEP and his faithful friend the manifest.xml is still alive and well, but the manifest.xml does not recognize the event 'com.adobe.csxs.events.WindowVisibilityChanged' so that cannot be used in the < started > tag.

    Our poor orphans jsx engine seems totally unaware of the tragedy which became it and continues to send messages to the JS engine deceased who are normally redirected to the sewer.

    The engine of the CEP will pick up messages so if the manifest.xml < started > tag includes certain events such as documentAfterActivate which can trigger the JS engine to get a life, but it doesn't seem to be a way of sending the jsx engine or receive on the fine VINE of the custom events that will revive the JS engine.

    If I could relive the JS engine on a beforeSave event that would be good enough for me.

    In desperation, I might have an idle task, which would be called the prototype of requestOpenExtension but I don't think only that the cans will be the engine of jsx (please, correct me if I'm wrong).

    In short how can I get the extension to continue to operate after that his group is close?

    An important note is that after the Committee has be closed once and then restarted, it will continue to function even after the closure of the Panel.

    How can I do that also after the first closure of the extension Panel should continue to operate as it does after the closures?

    The life cycle of the product is:

    <Lifecycle>
        <AutoVisible>false</AutoVisible>
        <StartOn>
            <Event>applicationActivate</Event>
            <Event>documentAfterActivate</Event>
            <Event>documentAfterSave</Event>
        </StartOn>
    </Lifecycle>

    TIA

      Development of extensions for Photoshop CC2015 (Mac). Debug mode?

    47. How can I remove the extensions I have created and run in Eclipse with Extension Builder 3 on Windows with Photoshop CC / CC 2014?

      I created a few different extensions in Eclipse using Extension Builder 3... I then press the green play / run button at the top to test these extensions in Photoshop CC and CC 2014. This installs the extensions, but it does not use the extensions Manager. Now, I want to remove my window to test extensions > Extensions list in Photoshop and can't find where are these files? Anyone know how to remove these extensions from the list of test? Thank you!

      You should find your test of extensions in the following directory:

      Mac: /Users/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions

      Win: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEP\extensions

    48. CSInterface (CEP) vs Vulcan (CPI)

      Hello world

      I'm looking for a means of communication to be able to send / receive messages from my HTML extension to a native C++ plugin in InDesign CC.

      In different documentations, I saw two candidates therefor: Vulcan (aka CPI Toolkit) and CSInterface (aka CEP). In the creation wizard of extension for the generation of a new extension, two of them are available, by adding two different .js extension.

      What is the difference between them? What are the benefits / limitations for each of them?

      Rémi

      My fault. I finally understood that the CEP and CSXS were the same. Documentation from Adobe has confused me.

      I have seen that Vulcan is an extension of Flex, and CEP/CSXS was for an HTML/Javascript extension.

    49. When I go to tools > Add-ons, nothings shows under modules, Extensions, etc.

      The clickable element only it is "check for updates". All my modules work, but none appear. Even for Extensions, appearance, Plugins, Services.

      I don't know how long it was, because I had no need to check until last Friday, when I picked up some malware that slides open a tab on the right side of my screen with 'Hot Deals' on it.

      Option "Automatically add" Firefox tells me listed below are my modules (if I can't see them in my own tab modules). There are several here that I recognize at all, but I don't know how I can delete them without that page loading properly.

      If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

      Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

      • If you have many extensions then first turn on half of test extensions that half the problem.
      • Continue to divide the bad half that still has the question until you find that one is causing it.
    50. Save as HTML5 Extension Panel dialog box

      I would like to activate a "save under" dialog on the side HTML/JS extension. This would allow a user to save a file from the session and specify its location. I can't go to .jsx for this because the data is too large.

      After this discussion, we can make a 'download ': option

      < a href = "data: application / xml;" charset = utf - 8, your code here"download =" filename.html "> register < /a >

      This does not work in the Adobe Extension however. Does anyone have a replacement suggest or work around?
