certificate of ssl wildcard PX4 - 300 d

Hello

is it possible to install a third party wildcard ssl certificate?

Thank you

Hello marcelocecin,

I've had users to apply successfully the wildcard certificates to our devices.

I am currently unable to locate documents relating to it, but I have experience with them download / application very well. I can't however guarantee 100% that it will work as expected in a given situation.

I recommend to start a ticket of support here:

Once you have opened a support incident that your concern may be rising through the appropriate channels.

I have a strange problem with the px4 - 300 d. When it is configured with a storage pool with no volume, it is very quiet. But as soon as I create a volume, it starts to make a very steady and strong, clicking noise from the hard drive. It's as if it's research or writing constantly. The system has 2 4 terabytes of disks in a RAID 5 configuration and I'm trying to implement a volume that fills the total amount of space. I also have an another identical px4 and it works normally without noise with the same type of configuration. That is what it is?

I forgot to mention that the drive activity light hard flash in tandem with these sounds. In any case, I left the machine running over the weekend, and it seems to have silenced himself.

  • PX4 - 300 d starts more-white LCD, power flashing light

My PX4 - 300 d has been quitely sit in a closet, storage of files. I don't have access to well over a month. I set it up maybe 2 years ago so I am only guessing at the RAID config, but I think it's a 3 X 750 GB RAID 5 drive.

I tried to access the share and failed. Ran a scan IP to see if I had the wrong IP and he could not stand. Physical control it and I saw that the LCD screen is light blue, but empty, and the power led flashes.

    I rebooted - nogo.

Drawn from all the readers and restarted - nogo.

Pulled all the readers and the hit the reset in the back (just above input AC) - nogo.

Fans spin, LCD is bright blue (but still empty) and the power button flashes.

  • Disable automatically feeding PX4 - 300 d on

I PX4 - 300 d 4.0.2.9960 running assessment. After the power supply to the unit, he immediately turn on automatically. Can I change this behavior to keep it turned off the power?

    kositapan,

You're right, it's the behavior of the device when it detects initially that an active power is connected.

There is no settings or workaround for this as it is based on the hardware itself. The best thing that can be done to prevent auto-start is to keep the unit plugged in and turned off as usual when the appliance is not in use. If the unit is off, it consumes no power and would avoid the automatic start up.

  • Need to recreate the image tool for px4 - 300 d

I have a PX4 - 300 d, which was not used for some time, and readers have been removed for something else. I'm looking to return to service as storage for a VMWare ESX host iSCSI. I put new readers in and started, it took a bit, but she finally found the dhco server and made an IP address. I can access the px4 - 300 d, but it's a secutiry configuration screen and I can't spent to set up the storage. Is complaining about the Security screen "can not configure security up to this storage is configured.

So I'm in a catch 22, so I want to just reload the firmeware and start from scratch. There is no data on the drives, nothing in the configuration of the PX4 - 300 d, which is necessary.

And the best thing is the big missed 30 days ago and support is not interested to talk to me. they will provide this utility? I know it exists they sent me a version of it about 2 years ago although he has failed, they had to send me a replacement unit.

Anyone know how we can get a copy?

  • View 6 installing SSL wildcard

    Hello

I have recently install a view connection server, see server security and a server of composer. Everything is in place and working, and now it's time to install my wild-card cert. I went to Symantec and purchased a wild-card cert for my domain and sent an email with a cert.cer and have access to a .p7b certificate, if I log on the portal of Symantec. I'm looking to replace my self certificates signed with the new wild-card cert, I came across a lot of different guides on how to do it for the previous versions to view, but not real good guides on how to install it for 6.

I am looking to install the joker on all new servers view.

    Thanks for your time.

    Lance

For 6, it is identical to 5.x for most...

If you have already installed the connection/security server

-Import the certificate into the store windows and then modify/edit the friendly name to: vdm

-Restart the server, it should work as long as you change the friendly name

For the composer, it is easier to have the imported certificate before installing. If you import the certificate after you run a few lines from a command prompt to bind the service to the newly imported certificate. You can find that in the documents listed above (which is a great resource-) or click here for a direct link.

Note: This works for components of the view, however, if you use a virtual appliance of vcenter... Wildcard certificates are currently supported by the device.

  • Problem importing Certificate SSL in gateway desktop remotely

    Hello

    Windows 2008 R2

Our SSL wildcard (by Go Daddy) certificate has expired, I have renewed, went into IIS, created a CSR, apply the CSR, downloaded the version of IIS of GoDaddy. completed CSR in IIS, applied the intermediate certificate, went into MMC and import the certificate into the local computer store.

BUT... I have problems with the gateway Office remotely.  I can't import the cert generic it.  I'm in management gateway > properties > SSL certificate and take the option "Select an existing certificate" I see the generic cert, I select it and click on apply, it flashes away and then apply it is grayed out, so I click on OK, but says still no cert... status says I need a cert.  So it's like it is not recognizing the cert or is the kind of evil?

Thought he could be authority, so I tried it with several different admin on the global domain IDs.

I also went through MMC and imported the cert in the location of the remote office certificates, but who don't seem to have any impact.

    What I am doing wrong?

Go Daddy suggests cert regeneration, but I don't want to do it again unless I need to.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

After much research, found this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/959120

Changed the link for port 443 and it worked!

  • Wildcard SSL cert on ASA

Is it possible to use a wildcard on a SAA SSL certificate? In other words, instead of getting a specific cert with the FQDN of the ASA, we would use the emitted wildcard cert?

Absolutely, it is particularly necessary in environments of ASA vpn load balancing. When you connect to a FULL domain name which translates an IP load balancing, one of the ASAs will make a http redirect to its individual host name, your browser (or AnyConnect) will attempt this connection and ASA must have a certificate for this specific host name. Have a certificate wildcard on all the ASAs solves this. I've got this running on several clients.

If you need help with setting up, let me know.

You can generate keys private on the SAA (and later export it to another ASA or other devices other than cisco), or you can import a certificate with existing wildcard characters with the private keys (to the PKCS12-BASE64 format)

    Kind regards

  • SSL certificate Expirtation concentrator

I'm getting an alert after my 3000 Concentrator: SSL certificate will expire in 26 daysIssuer. It seems that this (public/private) and a certificate of identity is issued by one of our servers 2003 (not 3rd party). I'm tempted to press the buttons of survivor on each of these certificates; However, being new to this arena, I'm leary which may (or may not) happen. My research told me that this can cause the rejected certificate. Can someone give me an overview of what these certificates and what do I find myself comfortable to breathe again status? Thank you.

The hub is trying to tell you the SSL certificate installed on the hub will expire in 26 days unless a new SSL certificate is recreated.

To create a new SSL certificate, go to:

The administration | The certificate management | SSL certificates

In the interface that shows the SSL certificate with an expiry Date of mm/dd/yyyy, click

on the generate under the field of action. Accept the default setting and the client on the generate button.

  • binding ssl IIS7 lost on reboot

    Hey,.

For a company, I work, I recently had to move a bunch of sites IIS6 a IIS7.5 (using MS deploy tools). This figure includes many many sites that share an SSL wildcard certificate. Since iron out the bumps with the sites I just found that, whenever the new (2008 R2) server restarts SSL is broken on all sites, as the generic SSL link to the sites is no longer bound to the correct certificate.
I found this article which corresponds exactly to my experience and my symptoms, except that it's the solution does not work - our applicationhost.config has no id = '5506' entries.
I would like that to solve if the server is safe to reboot. Any help much appreciated.

  • Import certificates

    Hello

I have two problems the two I think about SSL/TLS somehow.

I came as a much creating Points of trust for the respective cases certificates of signature in question.

    (1) I want to configure LDAP with SSL connection to our announcement

Yet, choose SSL in the LDAP provider gives me no error message, but fails to connect. (What TP it check? I selected no)

    (2) I want to use (import) a certificate with existing wildcard characters for HTTPS at UCSM.

I have problems to find ways to make this import.

I have create a new keychain and chose the TP who have signed the certificate.

But paste format's public and private keys (private key has no password)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    -BEGIN CERTIFICATE-

    cerrtificate goes here

    -CERTIFICATE OF END-

    -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

    private key goes here

    -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

yeilds in the error message: "unable to verify the certificate with the private key.

Both keys should be toghether stuck like this?

In what format should be the private key? The traditional SSLeay or the new format PKCS #8 compatible format.

    Could you please advice?

    Best regards

There was a good thread on the LDAP and SSL configuration earlier in the forums.   I'd take a peek at this first.

  • SE sec_error_inadequate_cert_type with private SSL Cert

    Howdy,

I run a certification authority private for personal use and only to learn more about SSL Certs. However, with the current version of FireFox I'm on (31) I can no longer visit the sites that I secured with SSL Certs that are signed by this CA, although these SSL certificates work perfectly fine in Chrome and Internet Explorer. I get an error "sec_error_inadequate_cert_type." I can't assume that the certs that I delivered are bad in some way, but the error is imprecise and the error page does not specify more.

Only, I discovered this when I realized some of my SSL certificates had expired, and I went to their reissue.

From the certificates that has not yet expired, but problems can be found here:

One of the Certs I tried reissue, assorted fields included as closely as possible to a Google SSL cert I looked up is here:

These certificates have been generated using the application called SimpleAuthority, found here: http://simpleauthority.com/

A Site like Networking4All.com seems to believe that certificates are valid, with the exception of the certification authority which is Self signed: http://www.networking4all.com/en/support/tools/site+check/report/?fqdn=phpmyadmin.endofevolution.com & = https protocol

Curiously, using another site like SSLShopper me an error similar to FF31: http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=https://phpmyadmin.endofevolution.com

Certificates are currently running on an Apache Web server: Apache/2.2.21 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/1.0.0e PHP/5.3.10

The CA Cert is in store for FireFox as being approved.

If needed, I can provide certs.

I discovered the problem: the CA certificate that I was using had extended consumption.

    See Bug: 1049176

I confirmed this by generating a new CA test with the excluded the use extended field, then generate a new certificate of SSL certificate checks correctly now.

While I'm relieved, I realized what the problem is, being so vague with the error message that makes me lean towards another browser for primary use. The fact it took me 4 days and a very large amount of work to understand why this was happening is unacceptable, because the error description was generic and included no sets out the steps so never.
