  • Satellite A210-14 and Windows 7 - driver issues

    Jyn

I use the Satellite A210 + 14 years with Vista at the moment, but I want to install the Windows7 in next time.
But in the list of supported models is not Satellite A210 Series (http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01DE.htm) is there no Driver Support for Windows7 and the series A210, or would the A210 don't run with Windows7?

I found on the website of some drivers (http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU) but I think that these drivers for all the hardware? I've read anything about SDcard touchpad driver or driver chipset drivers...?

    Thanks for your replies

    Hey Buddy

    Don t worry!
All you will get for Win 7!

I installed Win 7 on my A210 and Win 7 recognized most of the devices.
In addition, I installed the VAP (additional package) for Satellite A300 and installed the support flash Cards out to Satellite L500 utility. The flash card tool is important for the FN keys.

WLan, LAN and graphics driver have been recognized by Win 7.
But you can also use the Win 7 driver automatic installation option in the Device Manager, choose the device, and then choose Update driver

  • HP Pavilion p6330f and Windows 8 - firmware issues as possible

    Hello!

I installed Windows 8 on my (greatly improved) p6330f... and I have a few problems that were fixed with updates of the firmware posted on the page for this model of computer.   I installed the updates of the firmware under Windows 7, and there is no version of Windows 8 updates.

Here are the updates that are on the page-

    BIOS: fixed fan speed< i="" am="" having="" this="" issue="" again="" while="" running="" windows="">
    SATA hard drive update: data is not properly registered< i="" am="" having="" this="" issue="" again="" after="" running="" windows="" 8="" (especially="" with="">

New versions of the firmware we will post for Windows 8, or I come to Windows 7?   Please advise...  I updated all parts of this machine in addition to the motherboard and processor (16 GB DDR3, 2 TB drives, AMD Radeon HD, the new power supply graphics card) and I have tweaked Windows 8 to a point where I like it so I don't want to go back to Windows 7.

    Thank you.

card BIOS update mother MS-7613 and the SATA hard drive Firmware update has been permenently wrote in the BIOS of the computer chip and the chip of the firmware of the hard drive. The updates actually changed the code in hardware and change the operating system will not cancel these changes. The BIOS/firmware updates are still part of the material regardless of the currently installed operating system. The reason why HP lists updates that are compatible with Windows 7, because their installer has only been tested for use with Windows 7 and the controls to see that Windows 7 is installed before upgrading the system.

No update of Windows 8 will be available for your computer because of his age. You can check your BIOS version to verify that it is still in the v5.15 and you can do the same for the hard disk and make sure it is "BX". Other than that, the computer is not supported by HP for use with Windows 8 and HP will not provide drivers or updates for the computer.

BTW... I see that you have two of the same post... label, and the forum rules dictate a single post for a specific subject.

  • After using a third party partition manager program left to extend my Windows 8 partition, the system of Windows 8 start to a black screen and Windows 8 partition of the drive letter has changed

Original title: problems of Windows 8

I have Windows 7 (32 bit) and Windows 8 (64-bit) is installed in a dual boot. I tried to extend the partition of Windows 8 with a third party partition manager. Subsequently, I restarted after having learned so much.

Later, the first thing I saw was that the locked screen image is replaced by a blue color. Photos of the user are also missing. Once connected, it took a long time for windows everything ready, and I'm stuck in a black screen with the mouse pointer.

I entered in Safe Mode and found that the drive for Windows 8 letter has been changed (C: = Windows 7;) D: = recovery partition; E: = Windows 8, new drive letter; F: = Windows 8, old drive letter), I tried to change the drive letter, but it does not work.

Partition of Windows 7 works well (it is what I currently use to put this problem), and I can access the data in the partition of Windows 8. I tried the methods of different repair without result (such as chkdsk and sfc/scannow).

Can someone help me with this please? Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

I understand that you have a problem of black screen with Windows 8 and the drive letter for the partition of Windows 8 is also changed. This problem is due to the use of the third party partition manager program because it affects the registry files and causes the instability of the system.

Try to run auto repair from the Windows recovery environment and check if that helps.

Method 1: start the recovery environment with installation of Windows 8 media.

It is another way to boot the PC and launch recovery tools when something goes wrong with the operating system.

Please follow the steps below. Insert the DVD to install Windows 8 on DVD-ROM and restart your computer.

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

    (b) select the good time and the type of keyboard .

    (c) click on repair your computer in the lower left corner.

    (d) select Troubleshooting to Choose an option screen.

    (e) click on advanced options in Troubleshooting screen.

    (f) click Auto repair of Advanced Options screen.

    (g) following, choose the operating system by clicking on its button.

    (h) Windows 8 will be looking for problems on the hard drives and verify that all required files are intact.

Method 2: Run the restoration of the system of the Advanced Options screen.

System Restore to restore your computer to a previous state, quickly and easily without losing any of your files and personal settings. Sometimes when you install programs or drivers, they can affect some system settings and prevent other programs to function properly. You can use system restore to restore these settings to their previous state

    Follow these steps:

    (a) once you start your computer by using the Windows DVD or the system repair disc, a black screen is displayed with the gray text "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD". Press a button on any.

    (b) select the good time and the type of keyboard .

    (c) click on repair your computer in the lower left corner.

    (d) select Troubleshooting from the Choose an option screen.

    (e) click on advanced options in Troubleshooting screen.

    (f) select System restore.

After the system restore your documents and files will always remain to their previous state.

If you do not install Windows 8 media, I suggest you connect to any other computer and create a floppy disk to install Windows 8. Using this disk, you can run the troubleshooting provided methods.

How to create the installation media for a PC refresh or reset:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

You can also try the same steps using the bootable USB key. You must select USB as the first boot to the BIOS device.

Note: Microsoft don't recommend any third-party partition manager program because it corrupts the registry files and cause the instability of the system.

Write to us if you're still having problems. We will help you.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

  • NB520 - black screen when the POST and Windows 8.1

    Good afternoon!

    I'm in a strange problem.
My netbook screen shows black during POST (Bios) and sometimes shows a few white lines, as interference.

If I boot Windows OS 8.1 the problem persists.
If I run Ubuntu, I can see everything normally.

I looked on the connection of the screen and it touched to check the wire is ok, but is the same.
If I connect an external VGA display I can see straight.

Years, I changed the screen because it brokes.
In the last months, I could see lines on the screen especially during the POST.

It could be a screen issue, son...?
The screen does not support some frecuences now?

Thank you and sorry for my English.

    My netbook is a * NB520 *.

I read the other post you created long on upgrading the CPU.
Upgrade you the processor and if yes has issued in this view appear before the replacement of the CPU?
