change a user settings an administrator setup for windows vista windows

in windows Vista, how to change a user settings an administrator setup for windows vista windows. In the CMD window, I tried running the disturbance of disk of my user ID, he comes back and says it must be run by an administrator. When I log on as an administrator id, it works well. There must be a way to reset my UserID on the admin id. When I try to go into the type of user account modification from standard user to user adminstative. It won't let me., it always defaults to the standard user even when I change ID admin ann.
Also, when you use the Defragmenter GUI disc on any id and change the time or date, it will show the new race date, but when you click OK and return to annex it always says the next execution date is 'never '.
Thank you

  • How can I reset my forgotten administrator password for Windows 7, without a password reset disk?

How can I reset my forgotten administrator password for Windows 7, without a password reset disk?

There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Use the password indicator (only works if an indicator was created and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

Thank you for your response.  I answered Yes to all of your questions.  I solved the problem.  I learned that I had a registry conflict.  Microsoft has released a patch for Windows 7 on their Web site.  Drill dow far enough and it is easy to find.

  • I forgot my user account log the password for windows 7

I forgot my log of user account password for windows 7 I use the fingerprint option to open a session if did not use the option of password for the age is there a way to reset it

In fact, you want to do much more, especially the following:

    • Create and test a second admin account, and then save its details.
    • Create a password reset disk. Click Start, click Help, and then search for help on "reset disk".

Here's how you can reset your password.
    1. open a session.
    2. click on start.
    3. type the three letters cmd in the search box.
    4. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    5. click on "run as Administrator".
    6. type the following command and press ENTER:
    NET user "user %%nom" 123456
This command will set your password to 123456.

  • change policies, vnic adapter of no play for windows

Hello, something very obvious, but will probably change the vNIC policy "not defined" adapter to Windows requires a reboot of the server OS? Or can this was done without a reboot? Thank you very much Roy.

    Hi Roy

Due to the fact, that adapter policy defines certain physical characteristics of the I/O adapter, the blade must go through a process of restarting.

Hoperfully you have set up a strategy of maintenance with "Ack".

  • Satellite A505 - change standard user instead of administrator

    Hello

I recently bought a Satellite A505-S6005. Windows 7 is already installed on the laptop.

The problem I encounter is that I'm a standard user. I'm not the administrator. I would like to change that, so I'll be able to change or install programs.
The problem came earlier, but the difference is that I don't have the windows 7 CD to start Setup again and choose administrator instead of the standard user.
Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi ManiakRe,

In my opinion it of not necessary to reinstall Windows. You can change user permissions in your control panel of the active administrator account set. Then you can use this account, but normally you shouldn't t use an account with permissions to administrator if you surf the Internet.

Also take a look on Google. There are enough pages they describe how to change user permissions.

Partha, you should not change the current container. Create a new container by copying the existing container and make any changes required in the present.

  • Administrator rights for windows 7

I help someone via phone to install certain equipment and corresponding hardware on a Windows 7 computer and he advises them they need all administrator rights, but I'm not sure how to set up for me (as the computer I use is not windows 7) and all forums seem to offer different ways to do this and becomes a bit confused.  What I would like is a simple way that I can advise anyone how to do what I can translate either by phone or by e-mail to them.  Can anyone help please?

Right click on the Setup, then click the line "Run as Administrator".

  • Is it possible to change the location of the default download for windows updates?

I have a problem with space on the C drive and need to have the windows updates to download to a different location is it feasible?

Updates are automatically downloaded to the subfolder WINDOWS\Software Distribution\Download.
They are then unpacked on the drive that has the most free space available and installed from there.
The contents of the subfolder download is empty regularly.

There is no way to redirect where updates are downloaded for security reasons.
Suggest run you Disk Cleanup to free up space disc.

If the installed operating system is Windows XP , you can also remove old system restore points
by clicking on the More Options tab and then click on the cleaning the button in the system restore .
You can also resize the disk space used by system restore by opening System in Control Panel.
    Click the System Restore tab.
Click the drive that SR is followed, and then click the settings button.
When disk space use , move the slider to Min in order to reduce the amount of retained restore points.

In Windows Vista / Windows 7 , there is no such possibility in Disk Cleanup .
In Vista , the only recourse for the restoration of the system is to uncheck the box next to the disk, that it monitors the disable, click
Apply, then OK. Will erase all the restore points.
Turn it back on, and then create a new restore point.

In Windows 7, you can open System in Control Panel.
Then click on the System for the Protection link in the left frame.
Click the drive that SR is followed, and then click the Configure button.
Move the cursor located under disk space to delete old restore points or click the delete button to delete all restore points. Then create a new one by clicking on the button in the system restore in System Properties .

  • Can I use Windows 7 Upgrade media to upgrade a Vista computer that has not been upgraded to service pack 1? Can I use the option of custom Setup for Windows 7 Upgrade media? I would go from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Premium.

The computer on which I am trying to upgrade is vascular under Vista Premium, but it was never upgraded to Service Pack 1. He has a problem with PIECES that is caused by a defective ntdll.dll module and so the updates do not work. Windows Upgrade Advisor tells me I must update Vista SP1. I really don't want to spend the time to solve the problem of Vista. I would like to just do a clean install using the custom install option on the Win7 upgrade support.
    Help.

Wrong forum. This post here instead, questions please: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads

That being said, you can not use an upgrade to Win7 edition to make a clean installation on a computer running Vista without SP1 installed, but you can buy a complete edition of Win7 (detail) and install it after formatting your HARD drive. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft

  • HP Deskjet 500 printer setup for Windows 7

Just bought a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition (no parallel port), but can't get the old Deskjet 500 working despite reading all internet posts, of the solutions.   I hope someone has a story to share.

I bought a USB / parallel, as many have suggested on the web.  The cable has been properly installed by Windows 7.  It appears under "Devices and printers" upward as IEEE-1284 of print USB media controller.  I then "Add a printer" and select USB001 (virtual printer to USB port), then select HP Deskjet 500.  Window 7 seemed to install the driver successfully seeing the icon of the printer with the 'green' checkbox

However, when I try to print a document, the document in the queue of the printer as "print...". "but get nothing printing.  Then after a minute or two, the printer queue message becomes "error - printing" and the icon of the printer goes 'green' checkmark to the triangle "yellow!"

    Any help is appreciated.
