• Cannot change default programs as an administrator

  I opened the JPEG files for the past 6 months with a program called FSViewer, but yesterday when I did it, the file is opened with a Windows program that is basically useless. I tried to reset the default value, but the program, FSviewer will not appear in the list once I selected it, I tried also in Control Panel by using the Folder Options. Does not allow me to change it. If I log in as a guest or with another account, no problem, I can change the default program, but it only works in other accounts and not as my main account, which is also administrator of the computer.   The problem is that you can not do that because it is all grayed out.   I want to have access.  How to gain access?

• Shortcut icons and desktop Windows 7 file to change default

  The shortcut icons for the Office 2010 applications on my desktop and icons for office and acrobat files have re-established a kind of default icon.

  Try to recreate the icon cache and restarting didn't work.

  The Microsoft fix - it rearranged only the icons without restoring the good.

  Attempt to right click and reset the program that should open with the files does not change the icons back to normal

  Can someone tell me please:

  (1) how do I create/get a new set of icons

  (2) where should I copy this set of icons to

  (3) how to ensure that Windows 7 is directed to the exact location of these icons AND use them

  I'm ok with changes to the registry, if I have to.

• Cannot change default program windows 7 64 bit

  I have a user who is running windows 7 64 bit which cannot change default programs. This only happens on the computer if it is connect. So I think it has something to do with his profile.  I noticed that when I go in the Panel and click default programs on associated with a file type I can choose the new program, but it will not save.

  We just migrated to a new domain and transferred all the user profiles with the Microsoft migration tool.

  When the ICS (ICS) is enabled on a NETWORK adapter that is connected to the direct Internet line, the second NETWORK card automatically gets the 192.168.137.1 IP address and subnet mask 255.255.255.0. As the first IP address in the address range is located on the second NIC in the computer, the other client computers receive the other IPs in the same range, for example 192.168.137.2, 192.168.137.3 and so on.

  In my case, I already have the static IP network using Network 10.0.0.0/8, I want to change default IP of 192.168.137.1/24 to 10.0.0.1/8. I managed to change the IP in Regedit - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAcces - parameters - ScopeAddress / StandaloneDHCPAddress

  that works, but default IP 10.0.0.1 has the subnet mask 255.255.255.0, how to change the subnet mask of 255.0.0.0.

• Changed default Email/calendar blackBerry Smartphones; Sync wants to delete all appointments/events; Need of procedure

  I'm changing my email address.  I want to change the default settings on my BB Storm so that it syncs with the new email/calendar in Outlook 2007.  There are 3 e-mail addresses and therefore 3 calendars showing in my BB.  Originally, I created an aol.com as the default value.  Now, I want to change to the new.  All of this is through Blackberry Internet Service through Verizon Wireless.

  When I changed the default on the BB to the new address, the synchronization process wanted to remove all calendar entries that were introduced through the original e-mail/calendar.  I don't want to lose all those entries in my BB or in Outlook.

  I need a procedure that will allow me to keep or to import all calendar entries, once I made the switch.

  Currently, the following conditions:

  Windows Vista 32 bit

  Outlook 2007

  By default the calendar/E-mail: ***@aol.com

  I want to change default calendar *@rootbeertogo.com

  I can't see clearly how to proceed.

  Advice would be greatly appreciated.

  SOLUTION

  After some additional research and experimentation, the following procedure will ensure that you don't lose an event in the Outlook calendar:

  FIRST OF ALL, SYNCHRONIZE WITH YOUR EXISTING

  SECOND, MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR OUTLOOK PST FILE AND YOUR BB DEVICE!

  INSURANCE...

  For planning

  1. on the BB, select Options, Advanced Options, the default Services

  2 Click here to see what e-mail and calendar emal address is currently being used.

  3. check if you want to change the figure in both lists, but do not choose another at this point.

  4. open the calendar.

  6. press the BB button.

  7. Select Options in the menu list.

  8 observe the colors that are selected for each of the email addresses that you use on your BB.

  9. you will then need to this information in order to know what are the events to remove.  They are color coded in your BB calendar device.

  10. you can choose different colors if you wish by selecting each address in turn.

  Now, to the Walkthrough:

  1. in the BB replace enamel favorite default one (other) for the two calendar and send here:

  1A by selecting Options, Advanced Options, default services

  1B. Select the new email address for the calendar and messaging services.

  1 c. Save as you go out.

  2. connect your BB to the computer.

  3. when the BB Desktop Manager opens, select Synchronize

  4. during the synchronization process, the only element which should need confirmation is the calendar.

  5. when the synchronization of calendar appears, you will be asked to accept, reject, cancel or re - sync calendars.

  6. choose Resync that will perform a resynchronization complete merger of BB and Outlook calendars.

  7. When you have finished your calendar Outlook will be correct, but your BB device for two different calendars duplicate entries.

  8 that the weather, remove the second set of event entries.

  Hi devinat1, if the battery-dot-3 icon does not appear, it means that Firefox has detected a button menu 'material' on your device. In general it's near the home button below the screen. If you can't find a menu button down there, do you want to talk about device you have? Perhaps one of the volunteer support can figure out what is happening.

  I just want my homepage appears on new tabs, not the tiles of history. I don't understand why Firefox doesn't do this as simple as selecting a default home page. It could be easily done right to the general or the search tabs in the options. Looks like a reasonable scale to ask.

  On Firefox 41.0.1 there is no "browser.newtab.url" in subject: config at least on mine. I tried to fix this using existing message/question strings and the man refer to 'browser.newtab.url '. I would like to solve it this way, but this selection is just not for me.

  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use an add-on like tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Note, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

  I was wondering if there is any way I can change the default text, iTunes uses when I share my music via Twitter. The default text is "Listen to [TITLE] of [NAME of ARTIST] on @AppleMusic", and I want to update the text of ' #NowPlaying [TITLE] of [NAME of ARTIST] on @AppleMusic.
