Change name of 12 c earpiece Windows Service - OracleOraDb12cTNSListener

Hi, I work with Oracle 12.1.0.2 on Windows 64-bit (2008/2012).

I need to have a different name of the Windows service for the listener to the DB. NETCA creates the service windows with the default name "OracleOraDb12cTNSListener".

I know that I can change the display name of the service in the windows registry in the DisplayName subkey. But, I have to create this different name when creating listener netca.  I looked at netca.rsp, but did not find an option to set the display name of the windows service.

Does anyone know the setting/set option so that netca will create the windows service of listening with a display name by default?

Thank you.

Thank you all. I found my answer.  The name of the windows listener service is based on the environment variable 'ORACLE_HOME_NAME '.  This allows us to name the listening service, as desired.

The development team wants to leave the 12.1.0.1 disabled listener and creating the new 12.1.0.2 headset with a different name for purposes of restoration.  All this is packaged in an auto-install process.

Thanks for all the comments.

Have I really clogged?  I went and changed my password hotmail frm immediately another computer (that I had while they were line n).  Can't believe I was gullible that I am usually very wary, but they identify problems that we've been a... aargh!  Can someone pls help - I'm so worried! • startWebLogic.cmd as Windows Service

    Hello

Need help with setting up startWebLogic.cmd as Windows Service and deploy the file (P6.ear) in the console. What are the guides step by step in putting in place this startWeblogic.cmd as service windows and deployment primavera p6.ear file in the console. I only managed until the implementation at the beginning of the weblogic as service windows server, but I'm not able to deploy the file p6.ear primavera in the console. State of the service is only in Mode "start running". It does not change the mode 'active '. Anyone could guide by providing codes? Need help with this area.

    Hello

I guess when simply run the console P6 deploys very well.

Once I have it running in the console, here are the steps that I pass by - sorry, it seems pretty complicated, but after you have done a few hundred times it seem too loud that it allows to

Step 1 - check that Weblogic does not require a name of user and password

-If you are in development, this is already done and you can proceed to step 2

-If you use the mode of production, then you want to create a file called boot.properties under C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\P6\servers\AdminServer\security

    * I'm assuming that the following

    * With the help of windows with a patch of default weblogic installation

    * Field called P6

    * You have installed for an AdminServer (I'm sure it would be a very similar process if you did to a managed server)

    * You will very probably create the final folder of 'security '.

    Contents of this file requires

    username = weblogic

    password =

Save and close this file and rerun weblogic in a console. This time it should not prompt for a name of user and password (there is a reference to boot.properties)

If you check the boot.properties file after that, you will notice that the username and password are now encrypted.

End of the weblogic after that session.

Step 2 - basic Weblogic service configuration

I want to make some customizations here so that the Windows Service name is logical and the process comes with a name dedicated rather than java.exe or wlsvc.exe (or beasvc.exe depedning on the version of weblogic)

I'll assume weblogic 12.1 - if you use 10.3.6 the steps are basically the same except beasvc.exe is now called wlsvc.exe

Step 2 - setting up the files

    Go to C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_12.1\server\bin

Copy and rename the file wlsvc.exe to be wlsvcP6.exe (just what you rename it, it is what appears in the Task Manager)

Copy and rename the file uninstallSvc.cmd to be uninstallSvcP6.cmd

Copy and rename the file installSvc.cmd to be installSvcP6.cmd

Step 2b - implemented uninstall (I do it for good luck that I hope never to need)

    Edit the file uninstallSvcP6.cmd

Scroll to the end and fine line which should look like

    '% WL_HOME%\server\bin\wlsvc' - remove - ServiceName: "wlsvc % _ % SERVER_NAME % domain_name.

    Change is:

    "% WL_HOME%\server\bin\wlsvcP6' - remove - ServiceName:"PrimaveraP6. "

The two changes that we do here is for her to reference the renamed file wlsvc.exe and give it a nice service name in Windows Services

    Save and close the file.

Step 2 c - implementation of the installation

    Edit the file installSvcP6.cmd

Scroll to the end and very well the line that starts with

    '% WL_HOME%\server\bin\wlsvc' - install - ServiceName: "wlsvc % _ % SERVER_NAME % domain_name.

    It's changing

    "% WL_HOME%\server\bin\wlsvcP6' - install - ServiceName:"PrimaveraP6. "

Scroll up to near the top of the file and fine lines

    off @echo

    SETLOCAL

After that you will want to write the following (change these for your environment)

    Set DOMAIN_HOME = P6

    Set USERDOMAIN_HOME = D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\P6

    Define SERVER_NAME = AdminServer

    Set PRODUCTION_MODE = true

    Set JAVA_VENDOR = Sun

    Set JAVA_HOME=C:\Java\jdk1.6.0_38

(Sometimes I also put the USER_MEM_ARGS TV as well, but it should not be necessary after that the next step is done)

The two lines below that all the statmeents SET should be

    Set WL_HOME=D:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_12.1

    Call "% WL_HOME%\common\bin\commEnv.cmd".

    It's changing

    Set WL_HOME=D:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_12.1

    @rem call '% WL_HOME%\common\bin\commEnv.cmd '.

    call %USERDOMAIN_HOME%\bin\setDomainEnv.cmd

Basically, we are saying to the service is not to use the P6 areas instead of the default commEnv.cmd file setDomainEnv file

I usually have to chuck a declaration of break at the end of the file so I can see if it succeeded or not.

    Save and close this file

Step 3 - installation of the service

Right-click on the installSvcP6.cmd and run as administrator

I hope that you will get a message saying that it successfully installed.

Take a deep breath, cross you fingers and start the PrimaveraP6 service

    Watch for wlsvcP6.exe task manager

With some luck, after a minute or two you should have race P6 (make sure that you still haven't P6 running in a console window, otherwise it will take place in port conflicts).

    Good luck.

  • Problem: WebLogic Node Manager under Windows Services

    Hi all

    Details of the environment :
    -Windows Server 2008 R2 - x 64
    -Oracle WebLogic Server 11 g R1 (10.3.6.0) - generic
    -Reports and forms oracle 11g R2 (11.1.2.0) - x 64
    -Oracle JRockit JDK R28.3.0 - x 64

I have windows servers that we want managers node and managed to run instances. As you can see I would like to run Node Manager under Windows Services.

    I use this guide:

    < a link = http://wlsjavatips.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-to-install-node-manager-as-windows.html >http://wlsjavatips.blogspot.com/2009/09/how-to-install-node-manager-as-windows.html< /a >

Create boot.properties that include the user name and password:

    - AdminServer (location: < WL_HOME > \user_projects\domains\ < DomainName > \servers\AdminServer\data\nodemanager)
    - WLS_FORMS (location: < WL_HOME > \user_projects\domains\ < DomainName > \servers\WLS_FORMS\data\nodemanager)
    - WLS_REPORTS (location: < WL_HOME > \user_projects\domains\ < DomainName > \servers\WLS_REPORTS\data\nodemanager)

    Results :
1 are you able to automatically start all servers (AdminServer, WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS) after the server restarted.
    2. I can't access to http:// < hostname >: 7001/console, < hostname > http://: 7001/em, http:// < hostname >: 9001/forms/frmservletand http:// < hostname >: 9002/reports/rwservlet

    Questions :
    1. on WebLogic Console http:// < hostname >: 7001/console, the status of AdminServer, WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS are running, but the State of health is OK just to AdminServer, and others have no status.
    2. as I said before, I can run my form on http:// < hostname >: 9001/forms/frmservlet and run my report on http:// < hostname >: 9002/reports/rwservlet. But when I found
on Order FM OEM http:// < hostname >: 7001/em, the State of WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS are down. I can't monitor sessions connected to the server and I can not change the configurations via EM.

Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for my bad English.

    Thank you and best regards,

    -Rob-

    Hello

After a reboot the server I had the same problem, also windows environment. AdminServer but OK/console WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS nothing.

Process Explorer indicated there are 3 java process for each server that had begun the nodemanager (beasvc)
Also everything worked very well for end users, but not for the side default where forms and reports where "down".

I added settings offers and reinstalled the service nodemanger. But always without success.

Finally I solved it by stopping the servers (WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS) in the / console and by them from the option default (fusion middleware control)

Everything is 'healthy' and 'OK' again!

I think that nodemanager and the opmn obtained in a "things are complicated" after the break-up... I mean :) server restart

I was afraid you were going to say that. WinXP SP2 to SP3, should be installed years ago. As it wasn't, you can't possible have been running an application fully functional antivirus for recent years. Here's what you do now:

Backup of personal data (which none should be considered 100% reliable at this point) then do a format and clean install of Windows.  Please note that a repair installation (upgrade AKA on-site) won't fix this!

  • How can I remove the user name and the image of Windows XP new Start Menu

    Two questions:

    1. How can I delete the user name and the image of Windows XP new start; and

    2. my computer keeps asking me to press the F1 key to start Windows.  How to skip this part?

    Thank you.

    Hello

The image of user account can be removed by disabling the Welcome screen. Or, by opting for the classic Windows theme. Follow the method described in this article, if you want to remove the user name and the picture in the Start Menu, without disabling the Welcome screen and Windows XP theme.

For those who want to delete the user name and the image of user account from the Start Menu, in order to have a blue white Panel at the top, try this:

    Registry warning
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756/

    Step 1:

    a. start Windows Explorer and go to this folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account images

    b. in this folder, rename the BMP file that corresponds to your user account.

(For example, if your user name is Robert, rename Robert.bmp to old_Robert.bmp)

    c. then rename the following folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\Default pictures

    to something else, for example,.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\No_Default images.

    Step 2:

To remove the user name, follow these steps

    a. Click Start, click "RUN" and type "regedit.exe" and navigate to this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER-Software-Windows Microsoft\------CurrentVersion-policies-Explorer

    b. in the right pane, the value NoUserNameInStartMenu-value data 1.

    c. close Regedit.exe and restart Windows.

You'll find yourself with a blue area at the top of the Start Menu.

Regarding the pressing 'F1' to start Windows, you have made no changes or was there a system crash after which the problem started?

You may need to change the boot sequence in the BIOS to the default settings. I recommend you contact your PC vendor for this.

    Warning of the BIOS:
BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

I received calls from a person in India who said that they are Windows services centre telling me that they have received the error message saying that my computer is damaged, and they want to help me.  But I have not received any error message on my screen.  When I asked them how they got my number they said it's from the database of Windows. The number they gave me is 02921252715 and when I called the number of the person on the other end told me that they are a company called Windows e-solution, independent company and is not attached to Microsoft Windows.  What should I do?  Are these authentic calls and approved by Microsoft Windows?
