Change the icon of the application of the application.

Is it possible to change the icon of the application from within the app by code? Taking for example the image from database to dynamically change the icon

Hello

  • How can I increase the size of the text in applications without changing the size of the desktop icons?

I have my desktop icons attached to the size I want, but when I open applications as e-mail text is tiny.  How can I change the size of the text by default without changing the size of the icons?

Hold down the ctrl key and the mouse wheel. This should change the font size in some applications. Some applications also have their own settings of police out of their menus in things like or etc (for example). This will vary by app.

For WLMail it appears this and this should offer some control on WLMail fonts used, but only the 2nd seems to work OK. This application there is a bug? and certainly it does not work for me.

  • is it possible to change the programically application icon?

    Hello

Is it possible to change an icon from the app itself, IE on the writing of the file of the icon or the change of the. Bar, etc. I know that I don't have write access to the assets ect but is there a way to get around this?

    Thank you

    Hello-

You cannot change the descriptor of bar or resource assets in bars signed and sealed, except through an update/version of the software.

An alternative, could by removing & recreate application on the homescreen shortcuts but this is not possible using the current SDK. This may be available on upcoming kits.

Why do you want to change the icon of the application programmatically?

  • How to change the icon of the Application on Blackberry JDE 6

Hi, do someone know how to change the icon of the application of the project, we have created in the JDE? I searched the forum, and suggestions should go to the project properties, go to the "resources" tab and add the icon file. I have also included the file icon (PNG 68x68pixel) to the project.
But this does not seem to work for me.
I also tried to build clean, remove files jad and others, always not when I tried the app Simulator or on real device. Any help will be appreciated.
I use Blackberry JDE 6, test the application on the actual device (9800), Simulator (9700). And the app that I'm testing is just a pushscreen simple helloWorld app, not a lot of code here. Thank you.

Here's how to put the icon in BlackBerry JDE.

    1. Add the image to your project.
    2. Right-click on the image and choose Properties.
    3. Check "use as icon for the Application.
    4. Rebuild the application.
  • BRANDING: Dynamically change the icon of the Application and App images

I want to be able to my trade mark application such that the icon of the application depends on the Registrant and/or some download settings - and thus limit the build that I maintain in a single generation.

For example, someone downloads the application of a link to company X, so that when it is installed on their smartphone there the icon title and app for company X.  The icon and title vary according to the download (perhaps through the query string values).

Is this even possible, and if not is - can anyone think of another approach?  An idea I had was to have the user to enter a record value which would cause then a different resource file take effect, but do not know how is there to take to do this.

Take a look at 'net.rim.blackberry.api.homescreen.HomeScreen', he could not do what you want, but it can change the icons and the names of your application.

  • Change the icon of the application

Hello. Recently, we changed the name of one of our magazines. Our representative Adobe told us to simply all be updated without changing the connection from Adobe that is used to create the magazine. In this way we can keep all our readers without restarting. Everything has been approved by Apple and the app is now online, but the icon of the application has not changed. It's still the old icon with the old name even if all new art has been used to create the application from the manufacturer of the Viewer. Is it possible to change this? It is obviously a huge problem for us. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Luke

    Hello

I know this post is a few months old now, but we finally received a final resolution and I will post it here in case anyone needs it in the future.

For us, just submit a new version of the app with a new icon embedded in the binary file of the manufacturer Viewer wasn't enough to get the graph of store to change. I spent some time talking with Apple and we have solved this problem by taking the following measures.

The large icon is a field locked according to apple. It cannot be changed when the application has been removed from sale. This opens the possibility to change the icon of the application. When you send a traditional patch, previous version stays live for sale until the update is approved and either it will automatically to the top, or you realease yourself. This is a problem if you want to change it the great App (graphic store) icon. So if someone never changes the art of the icon/name of an application curretnly exist here are the steps we had to take.

-In iTunes connect go to rights and pricing. Click on the SPECIFIC STORES in the line of text at the bottom of the window.

-Click unselect all, and then save inside (CAREFUL, this removes the App from the view of the public and put it into a State called DEVELOPER OFF OF THE SALE). It will be down for all the time that take you these steps.

-Now that the application is in the developer removed the State from selling the icon field bigger app is unlocked and you can submit a new version.

-When you change new metadata of versions, you will see a tool now, that allows you to change an icon great app. This is where you can load into your new 512 x 512 icon.

-Once everything is ready with your new version of iTunes Connect, download your new binary version you have made to the manufacturer of the Viewer. You can use the existing application in designer Viewer, just replace all of the appropriate art and change the name if necessary. IMPORTANT - If you do not lose your current audience, do not change the identification code Adobe allows you to submit the folios. The Adobe ID, it's what ties all of this together, change would be catastrophic.

-Then simply wait for your new application to be approved. Once, go back to rights and pricing and turn on the appropriate areas where you app must be sold and you're done.

We have spent a lot of time trying to get this right, so I hope this helps someone in the future.

    Thank you

    Luke

  • A villain. How can I change the icon of my screen of my application GUI of an alternative starting point

    Hello

So I have 1 app, 2 starting points. 1 point is running in the background at start-up of the device and not including any icon or gui this point listening to BlackBerry push notifications. Point 2 is on the side of my application GUI and does not run in this case. Now the point 1 receives a push message and wants to update the icon of my application to the point 2.

Point 1 does not have an icon so net.rim.blackberry.api.homescreen.HomeScreen.setNewState (true) will not work!

Point 1 must somehow point 2 and updated updated icon who.

    How then?

  • Change the icons in the Sierra

Does anyone know how do to change the icons in the Sierra of the old way of cut and paste in the information windows no longer works.

When I try to copy and paste an icon of a file or folder in the right Info Panel icon. it sticks just a generic icon there.

But what always works for me, is to open an image in the Preview file and select the part of the image I want to use as icon custom, copy the selection into the clip Panel, then paste it into the icon well of Info Panel to another file or a folder that will change the icon to elements that are not protected by the protection of the integrity of the system.

But generally, I use iconStix to assign a custom for files and Folders icon.  iconStix has just been updated for Sierra and it is quite easy to combine the icons in the application and assign to files and folders.

After you have created the icon of iconStix use the command "file > attach Custom Item", then select the item in the file picker.

  • How to change the icon of an extra folder in the sidebar?

I just downloaded Sierra, I have a mac mini and I want to change the icon of a folder that I created, I already changed it, but in the sidebar, there is no icon, so I need help to change to the icon I want.

If you had already created a folder named & then hung out in the

Docking station, a change in this file might have to replace one in the Dock; so

If this is the case, do drag the earlier version of Dock, replace with new.

Of course, when you drag the icon of the old dock, it will go "poof!"

    {Are you referring to the dock as a 'side bar' on the desktop?}

Files and web links, etc. can be slid in the side bar (Dock)?

on the side of the bulkhead the nearest trash. Only applications or utilities

can be moved to the other side.

Here is an example of a file with a custom icon to the dock, put in place to

be considered a list, arranged by name; used to launch additional items that

otherwise could not fit well on the dock. There are also the Alias of elements:

The alias or the symbiotic relationship that you create in the Dock is always based on the presence

the original (a custom, etc folder) or on the icon element can become a '? Mark '

or blank if the original is no longer available. I put the original in my user folder.

If you already know how to copy a new icon to a folder (else, etc.)

    or make a new graphic icon and paste it into the folder to replace original;

so if I understand this issue, the rest should be easy.

Unless you try to accomplish something else...!

  • Is there really no way to change the spacing of grid icon?

My new iPad Pro is pretty well what I was hoping, with the exception of the 4 x 5 grid incredibly Needless to the app icons. On all other devices I use, this big screen would be comfortably and readable display four times more items, or more, avoiding to go back between home pages. I already spent a lot of time wandering through my pages trying to find applications of interest, and I just started to charge this device with the stuff I use. I understand the desire for consistency on all platforms, but this seems extreme. In this logic, all iOS devices should all have the same resolution too. As far as I can see, the only way to change the icon spacing is to jailbreak the device. Is this true?

There is no way to change the spacing of app icon. Have you tried to use folders on your home screen?

  • Change the icons for the App

I know how to change the icons, I've done before on Yosemite. But now, some applications (System preferences, Preview) do not change their icons. I receive the "the operation cannot be completed because you do not have the permission" "message. And I can't change the settings to 'read' because, again, it gives me the "...". you don't have the necessary permissions.

I tried to repair the disk, changing the words of past, but restoring the computer to the factory settings. And I can't do that because I have nothing to back up my information. I'm fine with leaving the icons as it is, but I would still like to solve the problem, whatever it is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
