Change the order of pictures in Windows Photo Viewer?
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to change the order in which Windows Photo Viewer load images? To clarify, if you use a large (or whatever that either size) display of the icon in a folder, when I hit the "next" or the "back" button, rather than display the image to the left or right of the current one, photo viewer load the preceding or beneath it. Basically the program reads from top to bottom in vertical columns, rather than left to right on a horizontal line. Is it possible to fix this?
No sorry, there is no configuration for this.

How to change the pictures in windows photo viewer?
When you open a photo in windows photo viewer. There is a way to change? I took the red-eye once! I don't know how I did it?
No, it's basically a look at a program only. You need another program like the free Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011 available here:
http://explore.live.com/windows-live-photo-gallery?os=other .
If you want something more advanced and are willing to pay, then Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 is a popular choice for private users.

I recently bought a Sony DSC-WX350 and uploaded pictures on my PC. I can see/open the pictures, but I can't rotate JPEG images using Windows Photo Viewer (I can easily rotate images taken with my Canon and Olympus cameras). I tried to rotate the images on two different PC's with the same result (using Windows 8). Sony offers a software play memories, but I don't want to download and use yet another software package when all I want to do is rotate images before sharing them with family and friends. If I rotate the images before sharing them, my family / friends would have to download the software of memories play in order to rotate/edit? I tried not to actually change the photos again, which could also be a problem. I tend to return the camera. Thank you
Hello xctour,
Please check the image properties and uncheck [read-only] only then try to rotate the image or rotate the image using Microsoft Paint.

pictures in Windows Photo Viewer disappear after simple rotation. Help!
I used for years Windows Photo Viewer to display and rotate the photos uploaded to my computer. Recently, I noticed that if I turn and switch to another image (just like I always did), one that I shot saved says he then went to the folder. When I get on my computer, it appears that it is in the correct file, but when I go in the file, it isn't here. Also, if I try to save back to the file from another source, it asks if I want to replace the existing file. Help please!

How to install the aa mail program in Windows Photo Viewer
Can someone help me learn how to install a mail program in Windows 7 Photo Viewer?
Thank youDaveKen,
Thank you for your interest for my problem. Where I am is the following: I received a digital SLR Canon T3i and finally managed to upload images in the Canon Digital Photo Professional and then managed to create a record of some of these pictures on the desktop. These images are of a grandchild and his mother call wanting to know when I will be emailing them him every 5 minutes. I think I was wrong to use the term 'install' an e-mail program in Photo Viewer when I think now what he says "attach" a mail program. My frustration is not being able to understand Canon programs and also not being able to understand how to send images. I appreciate your interest and hope that I have answered your question.Thank you and a healthy and happy new year to you and your familyDave -

Are you using Intel display drivers?
If so, most of the people have been able to solve the problem by rolling back to the previous Intel driver which solves the 'COM Surrogate' error.

change the order of the images displayed in Windows Media Center
I'm changing the order that pictures are displayed. To try to change their order of appearance, I changed the photo taken date of some photos. When I go through the pictures in Windows Photo Gallery, they appear as I intend. When I go through the same pictures in Windows Media Center (by date taken) some photo are out. But they are not the photos that I've changed.
Once they appear in the correct order, I intend to burn to DVD with background music.
Thanks for your help.
Hello donb113,
· Have you tried to update the media library of the Center once you have changed the order in which the photos are sorted?
You can delete and any location where you have saved your photos (media files). This will refresh your Media Center Library and sort files in the order that you have sorted your computer.
1. on the start screen, navigate to tasks, and then click settings.
2. click on the library settings.
3. click on remove the folder to watch and then click Next.
4. According to the where your digital media files are stored, click one of the options under which folders you want to add?, and then click Next.
5 navigate in the folders that you want to add by clicking on the - and + buttons, and select the check box next to each folder. (Files in subfolders will be included with your selection).
6. When you have selected all the folders that you want Windows Media Center to watch, click Next and then click Finish.
After you have finished adding files, it may take several minutes for the files in the libraries.
Follow the same steps and add the folders back.
This will add the files in the order that you have saved on your computer.

Windows Photo Viewer - impossible to resize the window
original title: Windows Photo Viewer window control
When you view a picture with Windows Photo Viewer, it always opens in the mode full screen. The window rolls back down, but then resize by dragging the borders and all the tools are out of reach. However several times that I close the program "restore down", (even by using the CTRL, main and making it last window close) it's always back to full screen for the next time I open a photo with her. I tried to adjust the resolution but it did not help and the resolution is fine in all other respects. Any suggestions?... Thank you

You can turn the photo in Windows Photo Viewer
Judging by the large number of comments, rotating an image in Photo Viewer seems to be a common problem and I do not understand why. Have spent a lot of time to wade in these messages, and am even more close to an answer. I followed the instructions in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Rotate-a-picture-using-Windows-Photo-Viewer and everything works well until you reach step 3, where the image is in the viewer of photos ready to be turned except that neither rotation arrow functions. Would appreciate a person offering a convincing explanation to the simple function to transform an image on the screen vertically on the side. Thank you very much.
This is for all images or only some?
Check that the 'Read only' attribute is not defined for the relevant photos. Right click on the image, click 'Properties' and in the [general] tab make sure "Read-only" is not checked. If this is the case, try unchecking it.
If you can not yet use turn, run a sfc/scannow and see if it detects and solves all problems.
