    Hello

    I have following question:
is it possible to change the processor in this laptop?

    Thank you

    Hello

If you go through the unique son, here in the forum, you will find various discussions on similar issues of upgrading...
The point is that the CPU upgrade is still problematic on laptops because no one would be able to tell how the laptop would go after these updates.
First the BIOS is not designed for other CPUS. This could be (but doesn't have to) a compatibility issue.
Furthermore a stronger CPU always produces more heat dissipation, which leads to a higher temperature and finally to overheating...

Lastly but not least, these updates will void the warranty and to be honest, you won't see a performance gain!

So I don't see any big advantages to upgrade the processor...

  • the upgrade/change the processor intel

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to change the processor on an old hp laptop.

I have a hp pavilion dv 1680ca notebook pc. I want to change my processor intel centrino duo

a intel i3, i5 or i7 processor. And if I have to change the motherboard also. I would also like

to see if I can change my hard drive too or leave. It's a 100 GB SATA - 1.5 GB / ULTRA ATA - 5400 RPM.

And I want to change it to 750 GB-7200 tours/MIN/7500 TR / MIN. The laptop is 6 or more years. I upgraded the

memory from 512 MB to 2 GB. No problems. Or a 256 GB SSD will work?

    Hello:

You can't do the things that you asked your model laptop, except to intall a larger hard drive (maybe up to 250 GB).

No other motherboards will fit in the case. An i series processor does not work with your current motherboard.

Very doubtful an SSD will work in your model.

The manual seems to tell us that you can install an i7-3632QM, which is a great leap from what you have. So and if I'm trying to get a second opinion from @erico so I do not send you to a dead end. But I'm sure you can.

  • Can I change the processor and graphics card on my acer aspire?

    Hello

    recently I went in game

And I really want to be able to play at HQ

So my question is: can I put a new processor and video card

In my acer aspire witouth problems?

Doesn't look like as you can change the processor. Limits to the motherboard. But there is no onboard video. If you get a low profile graphics card and added it to the computer, it could work. But because the computer is an older computer, you will not be able to put in the last and best. I would like to talk to a local technician to see what is available in your area for this computer.

So can I upgrade my processor 1.6 something like 2.4 form or more

    I'm carzy

(I asked this question in other forums but no satisfactory answer)

    Hello

IM using the config you mentioned (with turbo mem option & without fingerprint reader)

The processor is not nested. You must change the map system or if you dare, resolder the processor.

There is a certain post on this issue.

2.4 can be uncomfortable on your hand (try to keep the core 2 with standard processors old fujitsu Tablet).

The air coming out of the vent is uncomfortably hot. You don't like if its sitting on your knees/hands to max speed.

  • How can I change the processor - Satellite A105-S2071?

so... I recently got a new software and my A105-S2071 he handles like a charm... except the processor, which seems unable to face the new charge. I get the slow response time, and the Celeron M no longer cuts. I read on some of the new Duo and Quad-Core processors, and I think they should do the trick.

Can I get them inexpensively (don't ask), but the thing is, I really do not feel comfortable cracking open my computer. I also don't know exactly the one to buy. My questions: which Duo/Quad will fit in my laptop (once again, A105-S2071) and y at - it a professional channel that can make such facilities?

    > except the processor, which seems unable to cope with the new load

Sorry, but it's really funny. I wonder what you expected. In any case, I can tell you one thing: CPU exchange is not the solution for you. Expand the RAM to the maximum level and optimize the operating system preinstalled. That s all you can do.

  • You can change the processor on a series of 2450?

    Hello

    The processor in a 420 2450 can evolve from a P4 2.56 to say, a P4 3.6?

    Thank you

    Hello

If the processor of your laptop is not fixed mounted, you can place another P4 in your motherboard. But this makes no sense, because you can not use another module of cooling, the CPU performance should be limited. And your laptop work already at its limit. A laptop is not designed to be upgraded. There are only a few things, such as the memory or HARD drive, and they also have a limit.

    Good bye

  • Pavilion g6-2240sa: I can change the processor pavilion g6-2240sa?

    Hello

I think I need to replace the CPU on my laptop, but not sure it's possible with this model, can anyone help please?

The problem started when my mouse and keyboard stoped the week last in response. (The mouse pad would wake up sleep but nothing else). I was able to use a USB keyboard, so I uninstalled an update for the graphics card - as it was the last thing that done - in the hope that could solve the problem. There can be no.

Then I went for a week and my laptop started back but this time no response on the USB port no keyboard or the other, then a BSOD that has begun to restart the laptop before I could write down the question. Now, the fan runs at life and without wire turns orange and the caps lock flashes but there is no display - on the laptop or an external monitor - I think it is just the unique expandable flash rather than a sequence that brings me to the question of the CPU. (after a night of searching the Internet).

Otherwise I think to remove the harddriving and see if I can hang it up to my office at the top of the page to save the data, does anyone know if it would be an option?

    Thank you very much.

Certainly, you can remove the hard drive and save the data with a usb adapter to SATA. The problem you are having is more like on the motherboard that the processor. CPU failures are relatively rare, but the motherboard failures are very common, unfortunately.

And you have the E2 AMD processor that is soldered to the motherboard, anyway so replacement of the processor will necessarily involve the replacement of the motherboard.

  • change the processor?

    I have a compaq sr2010nx, it has an amd sempron 3400 + socket 754.

I want to know is can I put a 2.0 ghz instead it?

It is also an amd sempron. Same socket.

If this is not the case, what size should I go to?

Mine is reallly slow there a mhz 991 in it now, and I would go to the biggest cpu withoput change the motherboard.

later, I put a hard drive and still the keyboard and palmrest didn't always work. but again, I changed the jury and everything works fine!
