• Continue to change the views of folders under Vista

  Windows Vista has a tendency of capricciously changing the settings "Folder views" (tiles to details, etc.) and even delete the column headings used to "group by". Is there a solution? Is fixed in Vista 7?

  NEVER use a registry cleaner no matter what the case - Vista does a great job on its own and, most registry cleaners do nothing useful (even if the analysis indicates that it is 5999 errors that must be repaired and can be repaired if ypu buy program) or can do much harm (to the point where the only option is a clean install of the operating system).  There is not a single registry cleaner I can recommend (and there are probably hundreds of them out there).  IMHO, for Vista registry cleaners are a scam (and a dangerous one at that).

  You can change the views of files according to your needs (you have only 5 choices if you change the default templates - well you can always choose only 5, but the choice may be more in your order).  This is true regardless of the type of files contained in the files (once you change models, although the model chosen will depend on the type of file).

  Here's how to change the default template for a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/70819-windows-explorer-folder-view-settings.html.  Default behavior is to select the model based on the first type of file placed in the folder (you must choose something).  Vista sets the folder type template according to what are the types of files in the window and the settings display window Explorer. This will show how to reset the display settings for the Windows File Explorer, disable Automatic folder Type Discovery (which is I think what you want)and increase the folder display the cache to make Vista do not forget the display settings, the folder type template, the size or the position of a specific window for when it was still closed to the location of specific path.

  It does not work with the Sub record under, Open with, open in a new tab (Internet Explorer), etc... dialog windows of type through the good File menu bar item. These don't seem to be able to have their size or their position to recall. For the latter, you can use the free program AutoSizer to resize them.

• How to change the constant variable rate?

  I export an HDV mpeg file that has a constant rate of a video H264 (.mp4) video for download on a web-based video player. I actually use the preset in Media Encoder 'YouTube HD 720 p 29.97'.

  The web interface of video online that I use requires a constant rate. But when you look at the video in MediaInfo it shows the video file as a variable rate. After looking through the settings in Media Encoder I found no option to fix this.  I see where you can change the frame rate and it is 29.97. So you might think, it would be constant but is not. And there is not any settings, I see, to change the constant variable. I don't see the flow settings, but this isn't the issue.

  I also have Apple Compressor and making a successful rate constant, but if possible I prefer to use Adobe Media Encoder. If anyone knows how to change this setting? Thank you

  I want to change the view and see all the files.  Reason is to move files from one hard disk to another instead of doing the method of file transfer.

  Go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / view and scroll down and check the box to show the hidden files and folders.  In addition, uncheck to hide system files. In addition, uncheck to hide extensions of known file types (the last because it can be useful and worth while you're brings other changes).  Your problem should be solved.

  I think you mean that the code does NOT check if the value is the same. You can certainly change the code to do this check. But I have a question to start with your need for such a solution.

  OK - then modify the code to check EACH COLUMN and compare its NEW value to the OLD value and insert only the table of audit if SOME (or columns you care specifically) have changed.

  It depends on what you mean by 'change the line '. Of course to update a column with the SAME value does not change the resulting data value.

  But the physical structure of the line, the location of the pieces of line and information in the header block (YVERT, etc.) will change. And, as others have said Oracle doesn't know and doesn't care, so if the new value of a column is the same as the old value will create redo, undo and the rest.

  If your VO does not include the column you are looking for, then the only way to achieve is through substitution of VO for which you use jdeveloper.
  You can't accomplish by customizing.

  I have a case in 11.1.1.7 Jdev, I deploy my application on BPM 11.1.1.7.

  I have a VO that three attributes of it was put in a viewcriteria... Let's attribute A1, A2, and A3. the view criteria is any condition "AND".

  and then I create a variable binding in the VO named b. my vo also query using this variable B.

  in the jspx, I create a query panel based on the viewcriteria. then in the A1, A2, A3 and B query pane shows.

  I can reset the Panel request programmatically using this tutorial http://www.jobinesh.com/2011/04/programmatically-resetting-and-search.html

  but unfortunately he didn't succeed for A1, A2, A3 because they are in the display criteria, but B can't reset.

  I tried to put the value programmatically using queryModel, queryDescriptor, setNamedWhereClauseParam, but this failed and it starts to makes me crazy...

  anyone here seen cases like me? and found the workaround? pls throw some light.

  Throughout our Eloqua installation, we have a couple of forms of adding contacts to our facility without a family name or the company. As a result, we are unable to sync these contacts to Salesforce so that we can make on them. I would like to change these contacts in bulk so that we can give them a name placeholder and company and then push them to Salesforce.

  I have heard that you can bulk edit things by going to settings-> fields and views, and there is an option within the Population of details field, but because we have more than 1000 unique values in these areas (most of our contacts have correctly added data), we can not view the values or change through this screen. What other options are there for safely editing these values on these contacts and then pushing just such contacts to Salesforce?

  For some reason any in CS5 when I choose open default file to view "list" in Windows XP. I put my windows, so they all have the same point of view (detailed view) in the control panel.   Near as I can tell, after doing a bunch of research on the Internet, always default list view dialog box in Windows XP.  Apparently the changes have been made to Vista to remember the last setting, but which does not apply to XP.

  I couldn't find all the config settings or anywhere registry tweaks that would change the behavior of file open dialog to set up view details by default.

  I, however, ran through a downloadable freeware utility called 'FileOpenPatcher' who patched the commdlg32.dll file in Windows XP ONLY , so you will see more columns of information by default in the Windows File-Open dialog boxes.  I tested it with Photoshop Elements, I had installed on a Windows XP virtual machine.  Apparently he sticks some values in the DLL to change values by default, and it seems to work on XP SP3.

  I use Visual Source Safe commands in the context menu of Windows Explorer, and I often have to change VSS to the other database. I uses .reg files to change the value of the variable SSDIR. The registry editor displays the new value immediately after the call to the .reg file. However, the system does not seem to actually recognize the change, unless I open my computer properties to Environment Variables, and then click OK.

  How can I make an immediate change to a variable user permanently without enter in the properties of my computer?

• Why do I not change the view when I open a folder?

  I am running Windows 7 on a laptop Gateway/Acer. My main question has different views of files and folders every time I open a new folder. It may appear as a list of small icons, etc. I remember that I could change the settings in the control panel in XP and Vista, and all records have the same point of view. What should I do on Windows 7?

  I'm also a terrible with startup items and know time if they are needed or not. I KNOW I have too much processes running and they use to the top of my RAM. This problem is my computer very slow. Even the elements that I spent in and saw that they have a "manual" startup, still seem start-up by themselves. I KNOW by looking at the processes and services and to put an end to or of them changing from automatic to manual. I don't know what to change (the descriptions make it all seems crucial), more the same manual start!

  Finally, I am confused with there online backup. The icloud, cloud, pc-cloud, etc. I've been a backup on my external hard drive, but it is full. I think I probably have things stored on at least 5 different clouds online, but would also even if I had an accident and had to reformat my hard drive?

  One-way ticket, open a window in the Explorer and set the display as you want. Then in the menu bar click on Options of Tools\Folder, then click on apply to records. This should create all the folders as you want.  Can also go to control Panel\Folder Options\View and do the same thing.
