Change user, Windows Remote Assistance

Far too long, but for a long time it is not enough for our computer has suddenly lost the "Change user" button in the start menu of Windows Vista PC (Pavilion Slimline), our family edition. I tried to find out what causes this malfunction, and then it brings up something "Windows Remote Assistance. Then I typed in that and my computer said that it allows emails to HP and the help to friends, instant messaging and more through windows. Well my mother had put in place an e-mail (not through these guys and yahoo) on ourcomputer.

Can you help me get it back?

Keep in mind that if the person seeking assistance uses a router (instead of connecting directly to the modem), then you will need to redirect port configuration.  The request when she sends uses the IP address of his computer, but that the IP is not always accessible to the public.  For example, IP address of my PC is 192.168.0.4 (the 4th computer on my network at the present time), and this address cannot be used to connect to my PC.  You know my public IP address, so, I need the configuration of port forwarding to direct your incoming connection to my public address during my internal IP address (called traversal NAT, or network address translation).

There is a reason, I generally recommend free tools that use HTTP transport instead, like Team Viewer app free (for personal use).

    (5) the program without error Windows Remote Assistance will now pop up on my side and will ask you for the password.

Here's the rub... I typed the correct password in the talk of what my friend, but still Windows Remote Assistance keeps rejecting the password as if the password is wrong.

And NO, I couldn't, due to lack of hitting and no., case sensitivity is not the password, password is as easy as '12345 '.

I'm always rejected by my other friends for bad password as well.

So please, help me out here.

  • How can I get the Easy Connect feature in Windows Remote Assistance to work?

I am using the Easy Connect feature in Windows Remote Assistance and he tells me that he 'could not connect on the peer-to-peer network. Both computers are running Windows 7, but I don't even get the chance to say even the computer that I want to. I'm not on a corporate network and the Easy Connect function works fine on three other computers on my home network, including two run Home Premium and other professionals, so it may not be a problem with my router. My computer works professional. I tried to use it on wireless and wired. My computer, as well as others, I tried it on, use Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall. Among the computers on which I tried it as well as mine works µTorrent. All computers run Fomine NetSent GUI. Two of the other computers I've tried on and my own running LogMeIn. I checked the Remote Assistance settings on my computer and it is allowed. I don't know what else might be able to do this!

  • VMware Fusion supports by using windows remote assistance?

VMware Fusion supports by using windows remote assistance? If so, some can give me how to proceed. I can't make it work in fusion. I have to stop and start Vista in bootcamp for windows remote assistance work. Thanks in advance for your answer.

OK, so I installed Vista 64 bit Windows in a virtual machine.

It loaded up, went ' start > Help and Support > Windows Remote Assistance'

The guest came, I asked save the invitation to a file.

Has taken this copied file there to my computer mac desktop, then on my XP VM.

Double clicked on it from XP (and two virtual machines)

It connected and starts fine, succeeded in part of the screen and the lot.

The only things I've done in the machine was Vista disable UAC and the firewall.

My bet is that it is the firewall.  Could be UAC, but I have just disabled to avoid boredom of ' are you sure you clicked right on what you clicked just?  REALLY REALLY sure? "

    =)

  • Windows 7 remote assistance displays garbled desktop

I'm trying to connect to the asus laptop of my mother to help her, but each time, remote assistance is used, the his office appears in monochrome color and is coded/biased. This is not a problem of the internet, because the connection is through our internet and home network is not used to establish the connection. Between the two laptops Remote Desktop works fine, not display problems what so ever. so I don't think that it is a configuration issue with the router or other system. Unfortunately we have only two systems win7 (my laptop and my mums), so test it with a third windows 7 PC is not possible. I'll try to connect using my XP Pro desktop computer, but I expect that it does not at all due to differences in OS version.  my moms laptop has some kind of custom AMD/ATI discrete video card that is not able to use AMD drivers, so im not able to upgrade to the latest version of the drivers on his cell phone. My laptop has, however, the last driver from NVidia (314.22) package because it is the video card.

Yet once again, this problem is NOT with Remote Desktop, which works very well between our two PC.

This is NOT a connection problem. I am able to connect to his PC, very well.

The question is when his office is shown through the Windows remote assistance program.

I have already run all the troubleshooters there, who have found NOTHING of EVIL.

the remote assistance connection is made using easy connect through our home network.

any suggestions on the internet do not work as the connection to the local network traffic never leaves

    My laptop: Toshiba Satellite P500-ST6844

    Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

    NVidia GT 330 M 1 GB Gddr3

    I7-Q720M (1st generation)

    8Gb

    c:\ Hitachi 500 GB 7200 RPM partitions: 3 [System], [TI105417W0F], [HDDRECOVERY]

    e:\ Hitachi 500 GB 7200 RPM partitions: 1 [TI105417W0F-2]

    My mother's laptop: Asus K52 - JT

    Windows 7 Ultimate x 64

    ATI Radeon HD 6370M 1 GB DDR3

    I7 (1st generation)

    8Gb

c:\ Scores of 750 GB Seagate 5400 RPM: 1 [USER]

Apparently, Microsoft is aware of this error and has released a software fix. the link is below.

My only question is can I install this fix on my mums laptop, my laptop, or both?

Remote assistance does not display a desktop computer that has a resolution of 1366 x 768 correctly in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2665720

I tried this fix and it works very well for my Windows 7 Home Edition basic with a resolution of 1366 x 768 as the server end (from where the remote assistance request is created). Now the display of remote assistance is more blurred.

  • Windows 7 remote assistance

    Hello

I used remote assist and found it ok just abit slow.

I would like to know as never informed when started using this application, the code is noted, so that you can use it again is lying.

Now when people ask me for help by this person, I can't because I don't have a code, can anyone tell me if there is a way to find this on my computer.

Maybe there is a way to remove the computer on the other end?

    Thank you.

    Hi Edward,.

Please go to the Microsoft Community Forum.

According the description of the problem, it seems that you don't have the access code to remote assistance.

Remote Assistance uses the Terminal Services technology, allowing a helper to help you via a Remote Server Terminal Services session

Refer to the section 'What happens if I select the checkbox 'Allow to respond to user account control guests'?' in the link provided below for more information.

  • Remote assistance - manage the support network?

    Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

I would use the Windows Remote Assistance as a support tool for every computer on our network (about 400). From now on, I came with the addition of a newspaper in the execution of the script:

    Password MSRA /saveasfile "x:\%username%".
In return, the Logout script deletes the file.
That means to me, is to create a Windows Remote Assistance invitation file in a network location, that I can navigate, see what users are connected and it must be the register of the location of the computers (IP/ComputerName). Makes things much easier for me to connect to users and makes it easier for the user. Less user by connecting the best assistance. My goal is to connect to the system without the user having to do anything. From now on, I have to their market through me enter the name of the computer, so I can type in Windows Remote Assistance.
My question here is what pops up a window like this:
My question is: is it possible to get this to start quietly in the background or minimized in the Notification area?
Also: I'm more then happy to have answers with the best means to achieve my goal.
