changes of annanunced as key2go of research appears in new tabs

from now on, each new tab, I opened presents itself with a search engine managed by key2go. It may or may not be a good thing, but I don't like the changes like that without my consent. Need info on this outfit. If I search for key2go everything that show are real estate sites.

OK, so as I said before, Mozilla and Firefox are not associated with key2go, it seems that he is a malicious add-on that has installed. Try to do a Reset of Firefox, which solves the problem? Refresh Firefox – reset the parameters and modules

However, where you need it, here is the way to 'practice' more than change your the new tab page.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtab.url and enter your favorite page:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab

  • How can I disable the tab appearance totally new tab when I right click to open a new window?

Whenever I did a right click on a link in Firefox and select "Open Link in New Window", the new window that opens with TWO tabs: a tab containing the target for the clicked link, another 'New tab' tab that contains icons for sites I don't want and don't care. Even more embarrassing, the 'New tab' tab is the tab, which is active/selected when the new window appears, rather than the tab for the link, I clicked.

It's very annoying and highly undesirable behavior. When you click on a link and choose "Open Link in New Window", we should get a new window that contains ONLY the information that is displayed for the target of the link. We shouldn't receive TWO tabs.

How can I get rid of this behavior? I looked for a solution via Google but have not found one.

I hope that the Mozilla team will fix this problem soon. I use Firefox for a long time and have found that it is a very good browser. However, this new behavior has totally destroyed my good feelings about Firefox.

    Thanks for reading my comments.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

The last two parts of my post are on the deletion of the search engines for your search bar (which is where you see them?)

To remove from your search bar search engines:

    • Click the menu drop down located in the search bar, then click on "manage search engines...". »
    • In the dialog box that appears (see screenshot), click the search provider you want to remove (Google) and the button 'delete', repeat this step for Twitter
    • Press 'OK '.

After this, when you click on the drop down menu on your search bar, you should see is more search providers, that you deleted.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).

  • Firefox keeps opening my new tab like Yahoo 4.0.1, can I change it?

It opens well, right to my home page, but after that when I try to open a new tab, it opens as 'Yahoo! Search - search the Web'. I want to open a blank page, but I don't know how to change it, I tried NewTabURL 2.2.2 but even that did not work. Is anyone here know what I can do to change that?

This will be caused by an add-on. Check all Yahoo of Add-ons to see if they have added to that. The add-on of the net assistant gel is another who will do the Yahoo Search to appear on new tabs. If you have this add-on, you can uninstall it.

If you do find what the module is the cause, the procedure described in the following link will help you identify the guilty - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes

With Firefox 41 (and later versions), it is no longer possible to customize the
page displayed in a new tab by the evolution of the browser.newtab.url preference
in the about.config. Due to the fact that the hijackers abused the

  • Yahoo appears when I press the new tab now and continues to do so even if I change it back

I tried the subject: config and the removal of Yahoo / change in about: newtab - it works, but in about 30 minutes, it is for Yahoo. I checked add-ins and extensions, and the only thing I'm running is Norton. I even tried to go back to the original version of Firefox, in case Yahoo has uploaded a new modified version, and that seems to work, yesterday. But today, when I clicked on the new tab - Yahoo back again. Nothing to do, it seems made a difference - it's worse than a virus, as it seems to keep regenerating itself. Can anyone help please?

I have "think THAT"I could find a resolution. I included here for info to others.
Went to the control panel in Windows
    Choose to uninstall a program
Clicking the column installed on everything in date order.
Noticed that at the same time I installed another piece of software a 2nd piece has been installed without my permission. It was called Hub a lot of results.
Selected many results Hub and uninstalled.
To do this, I noticed that it closed Firefox.
After uninstalling, I restarted the PC, just in case he left something in memory
Then once it restarts again, I uninstalled Firefox (tbh, I probably didn't need to do that, but wasn't any risk)
Rebooted again (probably no need to do)
Once the PC itself started, I installed a version of Firefox.

Now, fingers crossed, it worked. If it has, I'll come back here tomorrow and this will mark as resolved.
