Changing the setting of 80% to 100% on the Satellite Z30-A-104 battery charging

Hello

I used my Z30 Satellite primarily as a desktop till now (the charger is still plugged).
One day I got a popup option to increase the life of the battery (charge only up to 80%) and I accepted the option.

But now, I'll be traveling and can't reset this option.

I want to charge the battery to 100% and be able to take advantage of longer battery life.
How is that possible? Help!

See you soon
Vivek

Hello

I think that you have changed this setting in battery Toshiba Manager c++.
You must disable Mode "Eco-responsible".

Perhaps this Toshiba info would be useful:

  • How to change the Satellite L670D-103 using new SSD 80 GB HARD drive?

    Hello

I have a Satellite L670D-103 with a 320 GB HARD drive running at 5400 RPM which is too slow for me.

So I plan to change this factory by a new SSD HDD to increase the performance of the overall system :)

But as the SSD are expensive, I have only a 80 GB SSD.

I built the recovery on a USB media and I want to use it to restore my system to the new SSD (I previously did the space needed to ensure that all data can be stored on my new SSD 80 GB space; p)

Retrieving SSD partitioning new procedure is done without error, but when copying image to restore data to freshly created the partition, one not enough space error stop the process!

It seems that the recovery procedure is possible on a hard drive that is equal or superior to the original size of the disk (320 gb).

So, how can I restore mysystem on my new SSD?

    Thank you
    Stéphane.

    > It seems that the recovery procedure is possible on a hard drive that is equal or superior to the original size of the disk (320 gb)

To my knowledge, you have different recovery options:

(* 1) * recovery of factory default software

    (a) recovery to out of box state
    (b) recovery without changing the HARD drive partitions
    (c) recovery of a custom size partition

    (* 2) * "erase the HARD drive.

I think that if you choose factory default software recovery of-> recovery to out of box state then the recovery would create exactly the same size of partition on the new SSD which were available on the 320 GB HARD drive.
I think this might be the reason why you have received this message.

Perhaps you need to choose the 3rd option Recovery on a custom size partition

    What do you think?

  • To change the Satellite A300 - 1 G 5 for another similar model

I started using the Satellite A300 - 1 G 5 in October 2008. I liked its sleek black design perfect, but his memory crashed. The service center offers to change my laptop for another with the same characteristics. But I put t know which one to choose. I would, of course, Toshiba.

I will be grateful to everyone

If you want to have the Satellite A300 once again I recommend to use the model of PSAG8E. I have more than a year now and I'm really happy with it.
If you have the opportunity to take other, more recent, portable check new Satellite A500. I like it.

  • Four questions about how to change the Satellite L650 - 1 M 0

    Hello

The laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to add the Bluetooth?
    Currently, I don't have a WiFi card.

    I have a second question:
The laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to replace the ports USB 2.0 to 3.0?

    And the third question:
    The laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to replace the matrix with a resolution of 1366 x 768 full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution?

    Most recent:
The laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to replace the processor and graphics card?

These questions are for the future. I mention these parts when you are already old and weak.

Sorry for my bad English, but I used the Google Translator because I do not know how the English language. I only know the Polish ;)

Please write without mistakes, because the Google translator will be able to translate for me.

    > Is that the laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to add the Bluetooth?

I think it would be possible to upgrade with the combo Wifi/BT card.
But I haven't found any info what WLan/BT cards combo would be compatible 100%.
    You should test

    > Laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to replace the ports USB 2.0 to 3.0?
No, the USB ports are part of the motherboard.

    > Is that the laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to replace the matrix with a resolution of 1366 x 768 full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution?

I guess it would be possible, but we must find a 15.6 screen that supports such a resolution.

    > Laptop Toshiba L650 - 1 M 0 is possible to replace the graphics card and processor?

    GPU is not extensible.
In some cases its possible to upgrade the processor, but you will need to check which processors are supported by Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chipset
But even if the chipset would be favourable to a new processor, there would be still pending regarding BIOS support.
However, this upgrade took isn t supported by any laptop manufacturer, and I guess that its your own risk by doing this.

  • How to change the parameters of voltage/mAh battery?

    Hello

I bought a VGP-BPS9 (11, 1V / 4400mAh) for my laptop of SZ-670N who had a VGP-BPS10 (10.8V / 5800mAh) when I was abroad. The local Sony rep guy said that the original model was not available on the market and I have to use a similar stack and for this he needed change some settings (I guess that voltage and mAh) on my computer to make the new model works. Since then, most of the time, the battery LED starts flashing and alarms in Windows that I am out of battery while it is still physically full and I remove and re-connect the battery to make look it new!

Is it possible to return to the original values, so I can reuse my old battery and get rid of this frustrating situation?

Any useful comments will be appreciated

    Hey rich! It's a VGN - SZ 670N.

  • I changed the batteries AA and CR1200 battery and the lite on screen keeps flashing?

Can not stop flashing battery lite on camera, changed all THE batteries?

It could be dirty, tarnished spring contacts would be a better term.

You did not say what brand of batteries you use this "could" play a role too because you get variations in the nozzle at the top but not to the actual body size may be different... all we need is a current reduced flow caused by a bad contact be loses fitting or tranished because he would become so resistive causing a voltage drop of contact acorss.

If you use a strange mark sounding or 'El cheapos' might I suggest trying something like Duracell - I use them in my Canon A650IS and they seem to last much longer than the others, I tried.

It takes the contacts should be cleaned somehow. For electrical contacts cleaning, I use a brush fiberglass in the form of a pen, a couple of swirls round is what it takes against the contacts.

A bad battery brand could also create this problem would be unable to provide the necessary power.

  • Re: How to change the Satellite L650-108 screen resolution greater than 1024 x 768

You just bought a new 108 L650, but I cannot fix the upper to 1024 x 768 screen resolution.
    It should be 1366 x 768.

Right-click on the desktop and choosing the resolution of the screen only gives you the opportunity to 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768. I can't find anyway to get it to the correct resolution.

    Help would be most appreciated.

    See you soon,.

  • Problem turning on the Satellite Pro S500 without battery

    Hello!

I have the following situation with my Satellite Pro S500-115:

The battery seems to be faulty now (it loads more and Win 7 Pro told me to replace it).
When I turn on the laptop and the battery is connected, it works for a few minutes and then it suddenly off.

But even if I remove the battery and the laptop connected to the DC IN, when I press the turn on button have nothing happens!

If the laptop should not be able to operate in such circumstances, which is only connected to the electric network and with the connected battery off? I have to set in order to operate like this?

    Thanks in advance!

    > The battery seems to be broken now (it loads more and Win 7 Pro told me to replace it).
    > When I turn on the laptop and the battery is connected, it works for a few minutes and then it suddenly off.

My old laptop battery is dead too much 6 years It's possible to use the laptop in the dough mode for just two minutes after the battery is empty, but I use the notebook with the AC adapter connected and that is why I don't need to replace the battery.

    > Shouldn't the laptop be able to operate in such circumstances, that is only connected to the electric network and with the battery connected off? I have to set in order to operate like this?

Usually the laptop should be able to turn on and operate without battery connected.
My laptop works fine with an adapter connected only. So what to say maybe the ESF is also affected, but it's just a suggestion

But you must check if the BIOS is in place to this day... sometimes a BIOS update could solve some problems of power and battery.

  • What docking station / Port Replicator is compatible for the Satellite P70-A-104

    Hello

does anyone know what model port replicator (name of Toshiba for docking station?) adapts to Toshiba P-70-A-104?

    Your
    Stephan.

    Hello

As far as I know that this Satellite has port replicator, so you can use an external device, such as Toshiba Dynadock (universal docking station).
More info about Dynadock you can find on the pages of Toshiba. As a small preview check please

  • No in the Satellite C50D-B CMOS battery

My Toshiba C50D-B does not remember that numlock is out and continues over time if the battery is removed or no.
Then, the laptop starts by saying that the battery is low.
So I wanted to replace the battery, but I could not find.
In the manual there is no talk of replacing the cmos battery.
And when I look at the Board (after the opening of the back) I can't find not all batteries.
I can find an empty place in the motherboard, which suggests that there should be a battery, but it is not a connection to it.

How do I replace the battery or is it not possible? In the latter case, it's a shame, because things don't work properly.
I have the laptop a year, but now I am so tired of correct every time that the NumLock and occasionally the time/date, I want to solve this problem.

The empty CMOS battery didn't need to be replaced...
You need to load it again.
    How?

It's easy... you need to connect the power adapter and the laptop must be turned on for at least 18-20 hours
After the battery has been fully charged, the CMOS battery will start to load too.

  • Battery charges more than 100%

Hi, I have upgraded to a new hard drive to 500 GB.

I cloned the old drive to the new with Acronis.

Since then, the battery of the laptop (maybe 1 year battery) charge up to 100% and maintains load and will not stop.

Steps I took to remedy this situation that was not:

Load all the way and walk back.

Taking battery, now the power button / stop and connected laptop turn off, disconnected, return to.

Nothing seems to change, she always perceived when it is plugged.

When he is in charge, the led is orange, but when it is 90% charged the led is green.  As soon as the green light is on, it does not turn off and windows indicates 100% battery charge.

Course, it's something to do with windows when I cloned on the new diskette because when the problem started, but I don't know how to fix it.

Operating system is Windows 7, thanks.

    I fixed it.

    What worked was

    Power off

    battery

keep the power button / stop for 60 seconds

    plug in power

    Unplug

    connect battery

    plug in power

    turn it on

and then once I turned it on it 100% charged and stopped!

  • How to replace the RTC (CMOS) battery in the Satellite A50-452 (PSA50E-01700WGR)?

I need to replace the Satellite A50-452 CMOS battery, but can't find any instructions online on how I would go about this procedure. Does anyone know how or where I could find instructions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Manual maintenance is not public record, so you can not find it for download.
Here in the forum isn't easy to post description step by step how you can disassemble your laptop and there are always risks that can damage some small piece of plastic or plastic media.

I put t really know what to say. Try to use google and find a page where you can find a description how to do this.
