Charge of Tungsten E

The only way that my Tungsten E seems to be able to be fully charged is when it is activated. It takes about 2 minutes to indicate the level of the battery fully charged when the and never completely fresh when loaded in the OFF position.

Given the age of the T | It is possible that your battery is almost or end of life. Replacement can be had from pdaparts.com and usedpdaparts.com.

  • Tungsten E2 does not charge

Was abroad and used the included adapter/charger (110v) 220V with no response that my PDA was low on battery. Now, he has no power, even if I used the power button and tap on the icons. It is completely taken out with no image on the screen at all. Is my PDA completely out of use or could I do except send it for repair or the purchase of a new? Thank you.

    It is very probably fried.

You can check with several sites of repair for a few price quotes, but you will very likely a new motherboard, charger, etc.   A new unit might be a better idea.

Repairs can be found many places, usedpdaparts.com and pdaparts.com are two of them.

  • Tungsten E2 hangs up on the calendar during the hot sync.

I have a Tungsten E2 with Palm OS Garnet 5.4.7. Suddenly, he started hanging up during hotsync. He always tries to synchronize the calendar when it crashes.

I lost the original PC software and impossible to reinstall cd. I tried to remove the software and installation of Palmdesktopwin62, but it has not fixed the problem.

All the information on my Tuingsten is intact. Is anyway to get the Info off the coast of the Palm other than with the software of origin. Really, I can't lose my calendar data because it has my class schedule 6 whole months following thereon.

    Two suggestions:

If you use not just any backup on the device software, download "NVBackup" and install it.  You can turn off the duct of the calendar by opening the HotSync Manager and changing the conduct of calendar ' doing nothing '.  As long as you do not check the box "Set as default", there will be a HotSync without trying to synchronize your calendar.

Make a full backup of your device to a regular with NVBackup, errors 1 GB SD card and everything.

Now go to Pimlicosoftware.com and download and install "DBFixit.  Run the program and let it search for corruption in your Calendar database.  It can correct errors free of charge, but more serious may require the purchase of a registration code (proceeds go to habitat of gorillas).

There are a lot of messages in this Forum to people who have successfully used this program!

  • Tungsten e2 'discovered' my phone in bluetooth mode

    Hello

I have a Tungsten E2 and a Palm Desktop installed on Windows 7. The bluetooth on my Tungsten recognizes the occasional nearby bluetooth device (normally someone else), but not my laptop. My laptop is Bluetooth running and recognize my Palm Lifedrive (until he died).

I want to do is really to transfer my personal information to my Tungsten and use it as default device.

    Can anyone help?

    Paul King

I forgot to say that I use W7, 64-bit, which is not taken in charge by default. After a few false starts, I had success with the ACCEECA driver and downloaded and installed the driver.

So, to summarize in a few words, what worked:

    • soft reset on tungsten, select station/cable under the connections icon
    • My username is the same as for the LifeDrive
    • Download and install the ACEECA driver, following the instructions on the manual in PDF format (tungsten must be connected with the USB sync cable and cable "station" selected connection mode)
    • Synchronize, wait

All the news are now saved on the tungsten.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Tungsten E dead

My Tungsten E after several years just died.  The on/off switch does nothing.  Tried a soft and hard re-set, but it only goes so far.  What appears is the Palm logo bars mobile and the first screen with bubble at the bottom right and then the screen turns white.  Any suggestions to get my very useful Palm running.  Fortunately I backed up only 3 days, so all the data is in my computer.

During the scan through this site (it's new for me), I've seen someone suggestion to try a soft reset while the PDA is connected to the charger.  It worked!  I'm embarrassed to admit that the battery was probably very low, even though I thought I had reloaded.  The warning message never came. This brings another question, that the point of contact for recharging wire is loose and she must bow so for the icon of lightning to appear on the battery icon.

  • Cool app for Tungsten T3 & Palm Desktop?

I have an old Tungsten T3 which serves me well.  Recently I started to use the expenses application (v. 4.5.1P) that comes with the Palm OS (v.5.2.1).

I noticed there was no application fees on the Palm Desktop, which I'm running under Windows XP SP2.  So I re-downloaded the latest version of Palm Desktop of T3: version 4.1.4e.  This is the latest version that the palmOne Web site says is available for Windows XP and T3.

"" "If I click on Palm Desktop' help ' on Palm Desktop" Version "General, I see, in the component files,"Expcn20.dll (not found).  I guess this .dll is the application of fees.

On another thread posted, followed by office expenses missing 4.1.4, I see that the application of fees exist for Palm Desktop v. 4.2.  But the palmOne site Web told me that the most recent version for my T3 and Windows XP was v. 4.1.4e.

    Issues related to the:

    • Does anyone has tested Palm Desktop v. 4.2 on the Tungsten T3?
    • What's the application of fees available on the Palm Desktop 4.1.4e v. CD-ROM version?  (which I did not)
    • Is it possible to somehow download Expcn20.dll and add it to the installation of Palm Desktop 4.1.4e v.?
    • Any other suggestions?  (not including "buy a new pocket computer", because I'm a poor student )

Palm Desktop which is available for free download from the site of Support of Palm, version 4.1.4e, is a generic version in that it is usable for a variety of devices, but has not all desktop applications (costs, media, etc.).  This is because not all laptop models come with all of these applications, and the downloadable version is really intended to be a safety net for the basic clock only.

For the application of charges for your office, you need to use the original installation disc for your device.

  • A Palm Desktop allows to load/update a Palm V and Tungsten T2 (separate for each software/data)?

I have a T2 tungsten used for business (in sync with your desktop XP and laptop XP). I recently got a Palm V I intend to use for personal applications / hobby (a controller requiring a serial connection). 2 devices may not be synchronized - in fact, they need their files and separate applications. The current installed desktop application comes from the T2 Setup disk (V 4.1.4).

I need to load an older version of Palm Desktop for Palm V of load/install programs?

How can I load applications Palm v and keep the Palm V files to take charge of the T2 (and now the files synchronization T2 Palm v)?

    DRM for all the advice!

Hello and welcome to the Community Forums of Palm.

As long as you keep a separate Hotsync ID for each of the two devices, you should be able to sync the V of the same installation of office.  Create a separate Hotsync ID will also create a folder of device separated on the desk, at which all the separate data and third-party applications will be synchronized.

Palm knowledge base Article explains how Hotsync two devices on the same office, but also a device on two different workstations:

  • Tungsten E2 will not turn off!

I have not tested with the settings on my Tungsten, and now all of a sudden, it does not turn off. I don't know what happened. If disable it, it lights up again in exactly 10 seconds. Because it stays on all the time, when it's not charging, the battery dies after a few hours. I tried to reset, too. Any suggestions?

  • HotSync does not start with new Tungsten E2

I put my old camera Tungsten T2 with an E2 level.  Following the upgrade instructions, I implemented the E2 last night and let it charge all night, then tonight made a final with the T2 HotSync and run the installation program on the CD supplied with the E2.  At the time when the installer asks me to press the HotSync button on the USB cable I did and Windows came the notice in the system tray as a new USB device and the Palm handheld device was ready to use.  After that, nothing.  A minute or two later the E2 expires and he said that "the connection between your device and the desktop could not be established.  Please check your configuration and try again. »

I tried to reinstall the software, upgrade to Palm Desktop 6.2 from the web site, and then restarting the computer several times, but I can never get the HotSync Manager to meet the E2.

On the other hand, the HotSync Manager will always synchronize with my old T2.

Palm Desktop is running on Windows XP.  I was using version 4.1.0, which came with my T2.  For the E2, I tried versions 4.1.0 4.1.4e and 6.2.

I want to emphasize that Windows XP in turn is running in VMware Workstation 6.5 on Fedora 10 many (Linux 2.6.27.12 - 170.2.5.fc10).  Last Sunday I tried start Windows XP natively (which was a royal pain since I have hard drives to do so), installation of Palm Desktop 6.2 he and HotSync.  This configuration has worked insofar as the device is able to connect to the computer.

Unfortunately only synchronize my to-do list and some 3rd party programs; He lost all of my notes, contacts, calendar of events and photos.  But that's another topic.

  • Tungsten E2 stays on. Cannot open

I have a Tungsten E2, which is out of warranty.  Several months ago I loaded and when I tried to turn it on I got the screen "Palm Powered.  I couldn't open it.  I replaced the battery and it worked for a few weeks and now when I charge it it continues to do the same thing.  I constantly get the screen.  I have reset several times, but am unable to open it.  If anyone has experienced this?  I think he's dead?  Y at - it a hope?

You say you have the reset several times, but have you done a hard reset? Maybe it's what will solve this problem. You can go to kb.palm.com and in the identification of solutions of type 887 window. This will bring up the instructions on how to do a hard reset. You will know that you did correctly if it asks you to "erase all data.  With this bear said in mind if you have not saved your data lately, all data on the device will be lost.  If this does not resolve the problem, it will be repaired or replaced. To check your repair options you can call 866-935-7256 and they wil he will discuss with you.

  • VX for Tungsten E to?

I've been a user of Palm PDA since I got my first VX.  With an aging Tungsten E now and no more Palm PDA sold, what are my options for not only preserve the data charges that I have in my devices and on Palm desktop, but for a handheld device that uses Palm OS?  I really do not need a phone, but is it possible to buy a Centro to be used only as a PDA, or I have to take a phone to buy service agreement one more?  Would be the center of my Palm Desktop software hotsync to keep my data?

Hello and welcome to the Community Forums of Palm.

Of course, it is possible to use a Centro only as a PDA.  But you can't buy one from a mobile provider at their price reduced without a service plan.  This would leave you with either an unlocked for $200 purchase, or venture out into the market like eBay opportunity.

And if you do, you might as well opt for a used but most recent PDA as an E2 or a TX.  The Centro is fine, but as a stand-alone PDA, its screen is really, really small.  It doesn't come with graffiti if you are a fan of graffiti... you can add it, but there is no graffiti input area and using full-screen graffiti is a pain.

And Yes, the Centro will be synchronized to your data in Palm Desktop, though according to the operating system of your computer and the version of Palm Desktop you use, you want to probably update Palm Desktop 4.1.4E (Windows XP) or 6.2.2 (Vista).
