    Hi and sorry if this is in the wrong category, I tried to put it in a forum quite reasonable but in any case;

I wanted to ask a few questions about my iPad & iPhone (I know it's the Ipad category but yes)...

    1. before (in iOS 6 & 7 I think) my iPad Mini (1st gen) when I plugged it on my old PC it says 'No load' and it is USB 2.0. Then I did research on the subject and discovered because port/what the pc did not generate ENOUGH power for the iPad charge. So now, the years go by, and now I have another PC (built in 2015; games) it's about 5 great AUD and it's a powerful construction set with USB 3.1; and when I plug my iPad in it it today with SUCCESS.

So I did the research, and the people has always said that 3 USB did not provide enough power and iPads don't always charge with the PC.

So I wanted to know that the ipad does today charge with a pc; especially with my my kind of office (which has a 1000W power supply & USB 3.1)? When I plug my ipad usb 3.1 just displays load as usual.

    2. also iPhone small Questions; I have an iPhone 5s and it was delivered with a 5W charger taken. I read on the Internet and that a charger 12W it load faster and all sorts; Around Apple's Forums in the past said he will, and some have said that it will not. Each site was sometimes said 'Yes iphone 5s will load faster' and some say 'no it only removes energy he needs.

So I thought to buy a charger 12W for my iPad & iPhone 5 s and I wanted to just check from an apple specialist/knowledged apple user will be a 12W REALLY give any load quick boost / allow to happen or 5s iPhone only will withdraw 5W charger 12W.

Sorry for making this long and my bad if this is in the wrong section/category.

    See you soon!

The iPad Mini requires less power for a full charge rate, it comes with an adapter to 5W... which means that it's no surprise that your PC can load it properly.  Your first PC must have loaded it, maybe not at full speed, but perhaps he had a technical problem with the USB port (or you connect the unit to a non-powered hub)?

I've heard say that the iPhone 6/S / + will accept a traction current higher than earlier models, so a 10 or 12W so-called charger can load faster (never tried it myself and don't know if this is officially supported by Apple, even if it works).  However, I did never say the same thing a 5s, but that doesn't mean it would not be right.  If you are able to borrow one of a full-sized iPad, you can test it (the difference between 10W and 12W cannot much importance for your iPhone).

  • Someone at - he had problems with charger 10W EU Apple sent as replacement?

Charger 10W EU I got from Apple did not work properly, before even the latest updates to iOS. Sometimes, the charger worked, sometimes not. I tried to replace the cable, but got by mistake a non-certified cable. With the iOS 9.3 update battery drained even with the 'false' cable connected to the power supply all the time. The accused episodically iPad and the battery discharged only, unless it is turned off. Then it loads very slowly. So I bought a new cable and charger 12W. IPad charging works now normal with iOS 9.3. I strongly suspect the 10W EU charger, but the non-certified cable may have been a problem too after the upgrade of 9.3. If the charger of apples is the problem, they should pay.

    What is your question?

  • do not charge the iPad battery

I bought an iPad Mini 2 a few days ago and it doesn't seem to be able to charge. I tried several USB ports and also the charger which is included in the package - I was sure that it was not sufficiently powered Chargers so I bought a charger 12W yesterday and it still does not work could it be some related software questions? It works on iOS 9.2.1 - if that matters.

    * edit *: I forgot to mention that I am able to load it when it is off, but not when turned on

Thank you for your help in advance

Genteral troubleshooting, some of which you have already so forgive me if. This is a repeat

Try different cables, sockets and powerblocks, in different combos to reign in or exclude all the foregoing.

Look in the port to ensure that you do not see any visible damage or dirt even. As silly as it may sound a piece of lint can spoil things.

Try to reset your iPad by pressing the home button and sleep for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver Apple, let go and let it restart and try again.

With your powerblock, take it apart and put back together (slides just taken off of the other party, a feature to allow people to exchange the plug types) this connection can have problems or not be aligned.

If go you through all that and it still does not load, it could be the battery. Then you can make an appointment at your Apple store or service provider authorized and have them check the battery. If your camera is still under warranty and the battery is not right manufacturing defects to the northeast of free replacement can. If this isn't the case, it is about US $100 to have a battery replaced. Don't forget to save before you take in there, just in case

    Yes and no.

  • iPad no charging current

Two of my iPads suddenly started poster "do not load" in the upper right corner recently.  A mini iPad 2 that was barely 1 month began to do this two days after hanging to a charger for the afternoon, and just tonight, I opened my iPad Air until you find that is now doing the same thing.

Both of the iPads are plugged to wall Chargers using the charger and the cable supplied with the iPad.  We have several devices Apple here in the House, so I made sure that the iPad 12W charger is used.  I also tried to hang the iPads up to different Chargers with the same result.  Other iPad and iPhone load fine on all our Chargers.

I tried to do a full reset on the iPad mini and has no effect.  At the end of the day, I went back to Costco, thinking it was defective, only to now find my iPad Air which I had for about a year is the same thing.  This cannot be a coincidence.

We had no problem with these iPads until the upgrade to iOS 10.  I upgraded the iPad iOS 10 mini and the problem started occurring about a day later.  My iPad that air has fonctionnee iOS 10 for almost 2 weeks now, I think, and it just started tonight.

There seems to be a problem with iOS10. Just going by the threads on this forum, Apple seems to have changed the minimum acceptable input power.

It doesn't seem to be much users can do but wait for a fix.

Even though it says not charging, let it set out with the screen and see if it is supported.

Can I charge my iPod Shuffle 4th Gen with a wall charger or do I need to use a computer?

You can use a wall charger. The following, for example, shows in the section compatibility as being compatible with the iPod Shuffle 4th generation: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD810LL/A/apple-5w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=0a8 96cef6682809aaf80e8c3741f09ed6d7df9585e7fc21bb39381e2a99a7f56b6f149e5ab72d8416a9 bfa670e36cc43168558b8b8c033b881948c1230b7156cbe51af44f7fd2b9ab533d7cb453e844ccd1 80b8e71aa7359ff2698b40de39b3b

The foregoing generally comes with iPhones, but if you have a charger which comes with an iPad, which can also be used with the Shuffle: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD836LL/A/apple-12w-usb-power-adapter?fnode=0a 896cef6682809aaf80e8c3741f09ed6d7df9585e7fc21bb39381e2a99a7f56b6f149e5ab72d8416a 9bfa670e36cc43168558b8b8c033b881948c1230b7156cbe51af44f7fd2b9ab533d7cb453e844ccd 180b8e71aa7359ff2698b40de39b3b

  • Can I fast charge an iPhone Plus seven with the iPad higher amperage charger

I have an iPhone 6 more and it can be loaded more quickly using the iPad to the higher amperage charger (this was not true for the iPhone 6).

I have an iPhone Plus seven on order and want to know

one, I can charge the iPad charger?

    b. If it loads faster than with the provided charger?

According to the specification on power adapter USB Apple 12W news

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MD836LL/A/Apple-12W-USB-power-adapter

It is compatible with most of the iPhones leave soon enough, until the recent series of iPhone 7

and is also compatible with the iPod and iPad models. See the + toggle to open/view

These product lists, this adapter can be used with that.

Because of the available cables to adapt this to other models, it is backward compatible.

However, the adapter for iPhone out below correspond to the request of the iPhone; While

This adaptor 12W can do more. The device connected to the adapter would determine

what the total capacity available can be consumed. But you cannot force-feed a

more powerful device designed for, so the idea of sharing the power adapter is

a fine; but don't force a load more faster/more that the unit is determined in advance of use.

    Example: An iPhone 6 uses a 1 to 5W charger, & is compatible with 12W 2. 1 a charger.

The device limits what he can use. Some may load faster, within the limits set by the design.

And the cable (if done for power transmission) should not be a problem. The entrance

power supply for an iPhone more large 7 plug can be such as a charger 29W (for example, MacBook)

USB - C) can be used with the appropriate adapter. The device should be a factor limiting.

  • Why Apple does not provide a 10 W charger with the air of the iPad 2 when the barn of the computer and hundreds of people on the web say he needs a 12 W charger because Apple has changed their software and 10 W very slow iPad charges.

Why Apple does not provide a 10W for I pad air 2 charger when the barn of the computer and hundreds of people on the web say that the 10 W does not work and it takes a 12 W charger.  Burning of the computer told me that Apple has changed their software on the iPad and now requires a 12 W charger.

So you're claiming Apple is selling iPads with a charger that doesn't work?

A charger 10W works perfectly well. A 12W charger can be slightly faster to load under certain conditions.

  • Can I charge my iPod with my iPad charger or different voltage

Can I charge my iPod Classic with my iPad charger or the voltage is different?

The voltage is the same, so you can try it safely.  Apple says...

Using the iPad with your iPhone, iPad, and iPod - Apple Support power adapters

However, I have seen the reports here this iPod classic does not work with some of Apple's USB adapters.  For example, it is the adapter of 12 watts of power, which is the one that is provided with some iPad models

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MD836LL/A/Apple-12W-USB-power-adapter

While other iPods are listed under compatibility, iPod classic is not.  The smaller adapter 5 watts of power (which came with mini iPad)

    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/MD810LL/A/Apple-5W-USB-power-adapter

shows iPod classic models under compatibility.  Another power supply supplied with iPads works 10 watts; There is no separate current entry for it in the Apple Store.

  • My Apple Watch will not charge on the charger.  I cleaned the back of the watch and the charger.  Any ideas?

My Apple Watch will not charge on the charger.  I tried to clean the back of the watch and the charger more used several points of sale, but in vain.  Any ideas?

    Hello

When you reload your watch, check that:

    • All the plastic film was removed from both ends and both sides of the cable support (consult closely on the head of the charger).

    • On the back of your watch and the head of the charge cable are clean and dry (clean with an abrasive, lint cloth).
    • The head of the load is properly aligned with the back of the watch, with the concave side / curve touch fully:
      • Some docks of watch, brackets, cases or protectors might hinder it.
    • You use a real Apple magnetic Charging Cable or a certified Apple module magnetic charge.
    • If you reload your watch by plugging into a power outlet:
      • Check that the magnetic charge cable Apple USB connector is fully engaged in the USB power adapter.
      • Try to use different maps of the following:
        • The real Apple USB Power Adapter that came with the watch, or;
        • A true 5W Apple (iPhone) or 12W (iPad) USB power adapter, or;
        • A third-party certified 5W (MFi) Apple USB power adapter.
      • Try to charge via a USB port (see following).
    • If loading via a USB port on a computer, make sure that you use a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port, the computer remains turned on and awake, and the cable is plugged directly into the computer (not on, for example, an external keyboard).
    • If your battery is very low, you may need to wait a few minutes for the green lightning appear (confirming that the charge has started).

Once the load has started, you can tap on the screen at any time to check the progress (leave a few minutes at the beginning, where the watch is in charge of a very low battery level). A green lightning bolt symbol indicates that your watch is being loaded. It is normal the screen back to sleep while continuous load.

  • Pencil of Apple charger

Any idea on when the Chargers will be made available?   I lost the one that came with my pencil.  In addition when the guidance of replacement will be available.

    Thank you

There is no power supply with the pencil that you can just plug it into your iPad Pro and load it from the iPad itself. You should also have a spare CAP in the package with the pencil.  Like all Apple SMART lithium battery devices pencil is its own charger and simply any clarification power port power supply (brick power, a port USB or an IPad itself iPad or iPhone).

If you have kept the piece of Flash pass, you can also use just plug in your iPad Pro power supply to charge.  I loaded my iPad Pro pencil, my iPad Air and 12w power brick provided with iPad Pro.

  • Venue Pro 8: use the charger with a little more voltage and current?

I just bought a Dell came Pro 8 tablet used running Windows 8.1. The seller didn't have the original charger, so he gave me a 12W of Apple loader that had taken out nominal 5.2V and 2. 4A

Is it okay to use this charger for my Tablet? Any potential problems in the long term?

    Thank you!

I'm sure that the voltage is OK to 99.9%.  The extent of the current note goes, which is often misunderstood.  The rated current for a charger power or power is the maximum that the charger/power is able to provide. It could be evaluated to a zillion amps, but the equipment to which it will draw only what it requires.
