I have a HP Pavilion Elite e9140f desktop computer. The power supply fan makes little noise. I would like to replace his power.

What are the replacements recommended for this?

Thank you!

  • Looking for a NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller Driver Update for HP Pavilion Elite e9140f

Hi, I added a second hardrive that is 3 TB and my desktop is running windows 7 with SP 1.  I have been informed by Acronis technical support I need to get an NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller update (I have version

NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller version 11.1.0.29 installed).  Can someone tell me what version I need update too and where to download?  Thank you!  Mark

The last driver from Chipset from nVidia for your computer is located on the nForce Chipset Driver Version 15.56 download page. This driver install NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller driver v11.1.0.43. This driver, however, isn't likely to solve your problem.

You will need to check that the hard drive is seen in BIOS until the computer will recognize the drive. You will need to run the Windows 'Disk management' console to partition the hard drive in at least two partitions, MBR or GPT partition before you can use the drive.

  • I want to add a second hard drive for my Pavilion Elite HPE 410f. Recommendations?

I want to add a second hard drive for my Pavilion Elite HPE 410f. Recommendations?  Somewhere in the 320 to 500 GB range and I want a quick unit because it will be used for rendering videos.    Thank you for your response.

    Hello

How fast is fast is the real question.

Have you looked at hybrid drives OCZ? Expensive but probably the fastest option.

Seagate also made a hybrid hard drive.  Good price... You will need a 3.5 "to 2.5" support if the player does not support.  If you install the drive in an empty optical Bay then you will need a 5.25 "to 2.5" support.

Your other choice is 7 200 or 10 000 rpm traditional hard drives.

Another option would be to add a PCI sata and two external hard dirves configured in RAID 0.

  • HP pavilion elite hpe-035sc: power supply wattage

    Hello

    I have a hp pavilion elite hpe-035sc

    Product number: VS311AA

    I7 870 2.9/8 GB ram/500 GB

power supply: 460w delta electronics dps-460 DB A (it has a connector 6 power pins)

I recently added an asus gtx 550 ti and it worked

I'm worried about the power supply, do you not think that it is enough

checked the power supply and I found:

    max power: 460w

    power combined 12va + 12vb + 12vc equal to 385 W (it does average?)

    THX

It should not be any problems with the installation at all. Just do yourself the favor of not not overclocking the card.

Delta POWER supply has enough good specs for a mainstream card like the one you have installed.

  • Adding 3rd hard drive for HP Pavilion Elite m9250f

I have a Pavilion Elite m9250f running Windows Vista Home 64 bit. The computer currently has two 500 GB hard drives for a total capacity of 1 TB. I would like to add a third drive to increase storage capacity.  I have a SATA to 2 to and cables. When I tried to install the new drive above the two existing disks, he did not slide smoothly. When I removed the already highest reader, I could slide the new drive into but the screws are not line up properly with the new drive. This leads me to believe that I can not install a third drive in the Bay. Is this a correct assumption?

I have an available expansion Bay below the optical drive but am not sure that it is usable for a hard drive. If the use of the expansion Bay is possible, do I have to buy a hook or how to mount the drive in this space?

If necessary, I can copy the data from the secondary drive on an external drive and replace it with the new drive. However, I need confirmation that the secondary is the player in the foreground of both in the hard disc enclosure.

    Thank you for your help.

If the task under the existing optical Bay is open, just use an adapter to fill the space and to mount the drive in there.  Make sure of course that there is a power cord and a SATA port.

  • HP pavilion elite m9500y desktop: power HP pavilion elite m9500y

    Hello

    I have a HP pavilion elite m9500y.

Here is the link for the specification.

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=c01616194

Suddenlty, it starts with black screen.

After the filming of the power, I can't hear any sound out of the computer.

My keyboard does not work. So I can't access my pc.

I checked the memory cards and replace the motherboard battery.

    Nothing happened.

So, I guess that the power supply is the problem.

I wonder what food I buy.

It requres 350W psu.  I'm not sure that it is acceptable to replace with power supply higher than W, such as 450W or 500W.

    So, here are my questions.

    1. What is wrong with my computer?

    2. If the power supply is the problem, should I replace 350W psu or W higher for the future?

    3. If I want to up grade my pc in the future, what would be the best option?

I look forward to hearing your advice.

With the case open and observing the CPU fan and projector, try the suggested PSU convenience store.  What is going on? If you decide to replace the power supply, I would suggest the Corsair CX600W. The system will build only what suits him, and you will have POWER supply that is quieter and more effective.  If no upgrade (GPU) is already planned, the Corsair CX500 is for sale.

  • Updated my graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite e9107c?

    Hi all

I want to update my graphics card for my computer, I can barely run settings means on most games these days, I never upgraded a computer in front of either, this was pre-built.

I am aware that the case is really small, but I'm not interested to buy a new computer/case. I want to just buy a graphics card and a power supply so I can run games like Guild Wars 2 and BF3 on medium-high settings. My computer can not handle same BF3 with resolution of 800 x 600, with windows, and graphic down, I get 10 frames per second at most out of it.

Then I would ask, what is the best graphics card that can fit in my computer? And her appropriate food to go with it?

    TECHNICAL DATA:

Computer name: HP Pavilion Elite e9107c

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200(2.33GHz)

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350

    Power: 300W

    Motherboard:

    RAM: 8 GB

    32-bit operating system - Windows 7

I am sure that all this is true, if I'm wrong, you can check online, its pre-built and I have not touched since.

I don't know what my motherboard, is the one that comes with the computer, I found this out of a site, and I think it's good, I'm not too sure:

    Motherboard - PEGATRON CORPORATION / model: 1.01 Eureka3

I know either the size of the card, or the power supply.

Whatever it is it would help a lot! My computer is already 3 years old, and I can not play games like TF2 and Skyrim above 800 x 600 with the everything low-medium settings by getting 20 + FPS.

Thanks in advance for the answers, I will add more information, if I listed those are not sufficient.

    Navibol,

Looking at your specifications and the requirements of the games you listed, BF3 is most intense.

    (1) you must measure the length available. See here

    (2) I would recommend the EVGA GTX560 or GTX560Ti, see here

    3) the minimum POWER supply: 560 suggests a 450W power supply, the 560Ti suggests 500W PSU.

I would say the Rosewill 630 or Corsair 600 . I'm the Rosewill this bias.

Thanks a lot for any advice.

GPU - Z done!  ATI Radeon HD 4350 bandwidth memory is of 8.0 GB/s & type of memory is DDR2 (Samsung)It fits into my 1 PCI x 16 graphics card slot.  BTW, my power supply is 300W , and can my expansion slot 1 PCI Express x 1 minicards to serve somehow?

  • HP Pavilion Elite e9280t PC: need a fan spec for HP Pavilion Elite

    Hello.

I have a copuple HP Pavilion Elite PCs (round box) e9280t I buy several years ago. Now refresh their place with new hard disks.  While I am, thought I would replace the old dusty case fans (I understand the fans can go wrong, after many years, just like hard drives).

Did anyone here know how I can get the exact specifications for these fans, so I know what to buy when I'm shopping.

    Thank you.

    @fridaythemovie, welcome to the forum.

The best way to determine that fans have been used since the computer is older is to measure.  Also, if you delete a computer, you can find the CFM.  You can check with the vendor to see if they have available to them.

  • New graphics card for HP Pavilion Elite HPE-170 t

Hi, I'm getting artifacts screen sporadically, Ithink my video card is starting to go bad. I want to get a new one, but I do not know what will fit. My computer HP Pavilion Elite HPE-170 t:

    • Intel Core i7 - 860 quad-core processor [2.8 GHz, 1 MB L2 + 8 MB of cache N3 shared]
    • 8 GB DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM
    • 1 TB hard drive 7200 RPM SATA 3 Gb/s
    • 1 GB ATI Radeon HD 4850 [2 DVI, HDMI and VGA adapters]
    • LightScribe SuperMulti DVD burner
    • Player 15-in-1 memory cards, 1 USB, 1394, audio
    • No TV Tuner
    • Creative Sound Blaster X - Fi Titanium

I see by a few other questions here several cards video suggested, but these responses were a few years old and these video cards are no longer available.

So, any suggestions on the new video cards less than $200, which will be more apt to little and works as easily as possible? Thank you!

OK, I got my new video card, to be exact of it:

    http://www.Amazon.com/XFX-250E-800MHz-graphics-R7250EZNP4/DP/B00JM5XX9O/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

    http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/products/AMD-Radeon-R7-series/AMD-Radeon-R7-250E-core-Edition-R7-250E-znp4

It works like a champ! Took me about 5 minutes to install the card physically and 15 minutes to install all drivers and updates.

So far so good - everything seems OK, so if anyone is looking for a video card for this configuration, it worked for me.

  • Replacement for HP Pavilion Elite e9250t HARD drive

I get an error message saying "A disk in a RAID 0 volume is a failure".

I plan to replace both drives, currently, to 500 discs with a capacity higher than as 2 TB each. The Pavilion Elite e9250t supports 2 TB disks? And can I install them with RAID, so that my data is protected?

    Hello JMHP,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I understand that you have questions about your desktop PC HP Pavilion Elite e9250t supports 2 TB disks and whether or not it supports RAID. According to HP Pavilion Elite e9250t desktop PC product specifications and configurable Options , your computer supports "2 TB (2 x 1 TB) 7200 RPM SATA 3 G (3.0 Gb/s) ' so the answer to your first question is 'YES', it will support a 2 TB hard. As to your second question as to if she supports RAID, indio motherboard (which is what you have) supports the following:

    • Integrated RAID controller: P55 (same as previously introduced application ICH9r RAID)
    • Steps to configure RAID (internal link to setup for P55, even the steps of configuration for ICH10r and ICH9r)
    • Intel RAID solution is called Intel Matrix Storage Technology (outside link)
    • Only some models indio compatible ship RAID (see datasheet for your model). Compatible RAID means that the system is ready to be configured for RAID 0 or RAID 1.
    • Migration from 1 to 0 is supported by material in the world.
    • RAID modes supported *:
      • RAID 0
      • RAID 1
    • Additional resources:

    * NOTE: three hard disks requires a RAID 5 and RAID 10 four hard drives. While the hardware can support other RAID modes, only RAID 0 and RAID 1 modes are supported on models that include this motherboard.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
