Charger Palm Pre Plus for AT & T

Nice day

I'm about to GET a & AT T Palm Pre Plus (P ^ 3). However, I don't live in the United States. It seems that I get the activation and unlocking installs pretty easily, but I am curious about the charger. I will also use the touchstone charger.

It is the image of the charger that comes with the Pre.

I see that it uses the A-type connector to the United States. Where I live, we use the British type g plug (in fact, all the technical features are identical to the British Standard).

So the more important question is, assuming I can get a form of adaptation, it will work with the sockets 230V here? As in, are they auto detection and can switch from 110V to 230V?

I know also, Palm has an international charger but if she is able to switch, might as well use a simple adapter.

Thank you.

Looking at the map in my hand, it says clearly, ' input: 120-240 / 50-60 Hz.

Looks like you'll be good to go with a physical card!

    Hello!

I'm considering buying a Palm Pre Plus with Verizon service.  I've also seen a Palm Pre Plus Black.  Anyone know what's the difference between the two?  If there is a difference, which one is better?

    Thanks for your help.

Hello Mindy and welcome on the fourms Palm.

I'm not sure that there is a difference.  All Palm Pre and Pixi phones come in only one color: black.

  • Using Palm Pre Plus on Verizon without data plan?

    Hello people,

I'm trying to find out if it is possible to use a Palm Pre Plus on Verizon without data plan.

Right now I have six years old phone clamshell and an iPod touch in my pocket, and I'm looking to consolidate. In addition, locked position of Apple don't gives me the warm shudder blur. WebOS from Palm running on the emulator gives me the warm fuzzies.

Research on the issue with Google, I saw other people ask the question at the time was the Sprint Pre only. Apparently the Sprint did not yet allow activation of the phone without a data plan. In addition, the question of whether the palm profile account can be installed over wifi there.

I also met photos showing that WebOS 1.2 would have a toggle to disable the use of the map data.

So people, you guys what do you think? Is it possible that this is possible? Thank you!

I suggest you look at www.precentral.net work is around like this. It is outside my area of support, but I'm sure you can find what you need there message board.

  • Help free a Palm pre Plus from AT & T!

    Hello

I am new to the forum and also how a phone is currently open.

I just got my Palm Pre Plus new bought at AT & T USA with our commitment, it now turns out, it is locked and there are new without any profile.

As I live in Thailand where the phone will be used with a local SIM card and a map.

I tried via Nextgen server to unlock the phone with the success, so I need some help now.

Been able to boot into recovery mode and run webOS doctor.

Now the problem is how do I run the bypass activation tool?

If I put my local SIM the phone net work pin code request, which, I think I should get through the Nextgen Server tool?

Hope someone can guide me step by step.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi fats,

Welcome to the Palm Forums! Then, because you bought an ATT phone, it is locked to ATT. At this point, you have 2 choices. You can call ATT and get the unlock code (which they will give you as long you don't owe them any $$$) or return the phone and purchase a phone unlocked live HP/Palm.

Regardless of the method you choose, you should be able to use your local SIM card.

  • Two weeks in the palm pre plus - questions and opinions for 10 years 'lover palm.

I HAD PALM PHONES FOR 10 YEARS... I see some stupid missing links in this new version...

    1. to speed up the dial I have to turn on the phone, unlock the phone, open the contact, person of goto, open the keyboard, reduce the size of the entry, press and hold enter speed dial, and the phone will dial the person... Am I missing something, or is this a ridiculous ritual, compared to the old way? It is faster to just dial the phone yourself, isn't it!

    2. no 'list view' in 'Notepad '... I have 100 entries with multiple keywords. No display of the list isn't good...

    3. contacts - if you have 4 different "doctors" in the contacts and don't remember all the names, without an access point 'Search', you're in trouble.

4 calendar - whenever you make an entry, you must remove the default set 'alarm '... What is with that?  If you want to set an alarm, set one - don't eliminate it whenever I do an entry...

    5. Calendar - not 'look' ap?

6 calendar - what is the purpose of the event 'place' - If you want to enter a location, enter his name - I don't know why it had to be put there as a permanent entry?

I would be grateful some input or opinions of others!

Yes Yes - keyword in the company - I have 5 jobs handymen - I just put the handyman in the 'company' and each came with the use of the keyboard - good replacement and a good idea - thank you thank you

  • Move the Palm Pre Plus contacts in gmail

When I got my phone it took my gmail contacts automatically and put them in the list of contacts on my phone.  I now have contacts on my phone that I need to have in gmail as well.

Is it possible to export the contacts from the phone so I did not add this information manually in Gmail too?

You can export your contacts from palm...

OK it is easy I swear

    1. Open the phone application
    2. For CDMA phones, dial # 66623 #. For GSM phones, call #* # 66623 and press the green call button ( )
    3. Press the green button "CelleBrite Export"
    4. After ' step 1: export file... ". "is complete, follow the signs for ' step 2: connect the USB cable" and connect your phone to a computer via a USB cable
    5. Access the USB by clicking on the notification of USB drive
    6. Make sure that you set the option on the file manager from the computer to "Show the hidden files and folders" and open the folder ".temp" on your phone
    7. A file called "PmMigration.vcf" will be inside the folder ".temp". Just copy this file to your computer and your phone.
    8. Well to eject your USB key. You can simply save this file for later, or use it to import your contact list in a program or a website that accepts (for example Gmail .vcf files

You can connect cela your microsoft contacts, gmail, etc.

  • Palm Pre Plus 3 G Mobile Hotspot guard fall Ubuntu 9.10 (Verizon)

Well, it could be that Ubuntu keeps dropping the Hotspot...

I just got the Pre, and set up the point.  I am able to connect to the hotspot with Ubuntu 9.10, Win XP and Win 7 without a hitch using WPA/WPA2 Personal or open connections.  The service is slow on XP, but not bad on Windows 7 and Ubuntu.

The problem is that when you use Ubuntu, the Pre is constantly connect and disconnect the computer.  Running windows 7 on the same machine works very well.   All my projects and Ubuntu and I need internet access.  I use Windows to test.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    Solved by removing the linux-backports-modules.

  • More Palm pre WiFi and AT & T

I just bought a Palm Pre Plus for use with AT & T.   I have a few questions about the use of WiFi.

When AT & T tell me that WiFi is disabled on the palms of AT & T, are they just reference to the "attachment" function

which allows the phone to be used as a mobile hot spot?

If the phone is connected to my home WiFi network, it means I save data to use on my AT & T Bill?

Now that AT & T is the elimination of unlimited data plans, it is particularly important.

Thank you.  I hope someone can help.

    Bruce Berman

Yes, they are referring to attach.

And Yes, connect your phone to your own WiFi network will save its use.

  • Palm pre more (Verizon) does not connect to the Exchange Server

I've been on the phone for 3 days (bought the Verizon Pre the day it came out) and couldn't connect to my companys mail server. I had a Palm Treo 755 for years and have always got my email to that. After days of talk with representatives of the Palm, I am told that no. Verizon Pre is able to connect to a server to exchange corp at this time. I'm quite upset hereby, since after listening to a Council of representatives of Palm, I've had a computer scientist to ensure that our server was updated, we had the correct certificates, etc. This of course took hours to complete, and the person of COMPUTING time is not cheap. So afte spend all that time and money dealing with this, I learned today by a supervisor at Palm that ANYBODY on Verizons network is able to connect to their mail corp server and that it was an issue that is discussed in.

I searched the forums and found a lot of this Sprint service problems, but didn't find any with Verizon. Anyone else out there on Verizon and unable to connect? Or maybe the better question is, someone out there have a pre with Verizon and IS able to connect to their server Exchange (EAS)?

Correction to my last post. After doing a reset on my phone and update of our server, I was able to connect to my email. Thank you for your comments update to SP2. Overall, I am still very upset over the phone support provided Palm. As I mentioned before, I brought to the SP2 SP1 vs option several times by phone and I said whenever it was not the question. Even my computer, have fought a little, to get this update since that he had heard the same information I did representatives of the Palm on the phone. After you have created an account on here and PDAguy pointing me to the long thread about people having a similar problem, I showed it to our it guy and he has fortunately upgraded our server to SP2.

I'm happy to get this issue resolved, but feel still Palm mislead me along the way, probably cost me over $ 400 in IT supports, lost my time and traveling in a Verizon store to swap a perfectly good phone and I try the different options which should not be fooled. I did 3 different calls to Palm (with my COMPUTER technician who has been paid by the hour) and each call lasts about 1 to 1-1/2 hrs. Most of the current time on hold any 'research' rep my question.  Even had a representative on the phone to me lie and tell me that he was able to connect to our server (using my info) with a meadow he had with him. He told me so I had a defective phone, and I was directed to return to Verizon to switch the phone outside. After I had passed the phone out, and of course, it doesn't work, I was then told by another representative of Palm and his superior that it was a known issue and that person is with Verizon was able to connect to a server (with a pre) because of a software problem on the phone. I got a refund from Verizon to get this phone for $149, but with all my time lost, the cost of my computer and the lack of knowledge by representatives of Palm, I think I have probably the most expensive Palm Pre Plus there.

  • Palm Pre calendar, screen saver and Conference questions

    Hello

I am a Palm Pre (Sprint) 1.4 and the Palm Pre Plus (verizon) 1.4 user.  I use the EAS option to connect to my company groupware system.  I have two problems, I need help:

    1. on the Sprint and Verizon, location of the grille section seems to offer very limited space.  Minimum Adequetly so that when I'm on the road and I am trying to get an address or con-calls, he doesn't seem to have enough space to support location data.  In addition, there seems to be no option to scroll left or right to see the data.

    2. on the phone from Verizon, when the screen saver comes in and the screen turns off, the only option is to press the power button on the top right of the phone.  However, when the phone is flipped open, it's a physical impossibility.  I then have to return the phone closed and then press the button.  It's a question on Sprint phones and through a software upgrade they have enabled the option to press the middle button a screen saver option Michael.  The same option on the Verizon phone is necessary.

    3. I don't know if it is a function or a lack of, of the CDMA network, but it would be nice to a conference call of the United Nations and switch between private calls.

All-in-all, I'm very happy with my phones and think that WebOS is more operationally effective phone OS on the market.

    Thank you

    Babak

1st edition. Just, I typed a few characters in my location section and had more than 100 characters without running out of space. Never came to fruition. To access you type on a line of text, hold down the option key down, and move your finger to the up, down, left, right anywhere on the screen. It will be your cursor from that direction.

    2. I have sprint, so maybe verizon is different. But by pressing any key on the keyboard while his opening turns my screen turn it back on.

    3. no idea on it.

  • Palm Pre won't Charge / turn on

Heres is my problem. My palm pre battery when it is plugged in to recharge (with charger official palm pre, power supply) needed to DUMP when it's plugged in. I thought it could have been just a connection sometimes losing since sometimes charged and discharged. Shortly after this discharge started, I got it for free because I would have rather had a battery in any life. At the end of the day, my battery is completely dead and phone turns off. Not much, right? I'll come right home and put it on charge. Well, not so simple. When my phone support (with the charger official pre, tried in the sector, have tried in the laptop, have used 3rd party chargers) all I get is the battery charging icon. This is the red bar at the bottom with the lightning symbol on. I've tried everything. I cleaned up the phones to the compressed air connection, I took out battery for all-day to try, but nothing. My pre remains on this all day and dosent turn, once unplugged it shuts down. Could someone help me please? I can't take it on 02 since brought off the coast of a friend who have never experienced this problem, and it dosent have more paperwork to 02. is my phone broken? are there solutions? Thanks for help in advance. Craig

I don't know if I can be of any assistance on this.  I think you should try webOS Doctor.  It is a program that reinstalls the webOS on your phone.  It could be that webOS has corrupted itself and must be reinstalled.  It's the only thing I can think of now.  If a webOS Doctor does not so I think that your problem is more serious than just a malfunction or software battery problem.

Get the webOS Doctor here: http://ws.hpwebos.com/webosdoctor/sorry.htm

You'll need your phone S/N from here (or take the back cover): https://ps.palmws.com/palmcsext/console/pages/LoginPage.iface

  • Palm Pre crazy symptoms: 'phone in offline mode', won't charge battery, won't start, message error "an error has occurred that cannot be resolved.

This is a long description of a series of problems with my new Palm Pre. You can search text to find your specific problem. There is no solution in my post. Looking for possible answers in future responses.

I bought my Palm Pre 4 days ago and it arrived 2 days ago. Phone was working fine. Last night I plugged the phone and updated the operating system. After, I've selected "Done" and went to bed.

-First set of questions: 'Phone offline', will not charge battery.

In the upper left corner of the phone, there is the message "phone offline. Although the phone was in charge all night, it reads "battery of 26%. I called the general number of on the Sprint tech support and we tried the following things:

    (1) the phone reboots (press on and hold the power button / stop, then select 'Disable'. After setting down, hold down power button / power stop.)

    (2) to reset the phone (several ways - call tech support so that you do this properly)

The individual Sprint and then sent me to another tech support person, likely to level 2.

    -Second series of questions: message error "an error has occurred that cannot be resolved;

#2 Sprint tech support person had me also to restart and reset the phone in a number of ways. In his own words 'we tried all the palm pre stuff I know' and whenever the phone was insensitive. Often, we received the message error "the phone is in offline mode. We did a full erase and after that the phone will not re-start is no longer. At this point, the error message came up saying "an error has occurred that cannot be resolved" that referred me to www.palm.com for assistance. I think it's important to note here that this was not the typical error message (black screen with white letters) but rather the blue sky with a translucent box on background with white text.

#2 Sprint tech support person then me connected with the support of the Palm and the dance continued. Yet once, we tried a whole bunch of reset and restart and the erasure of the options. Palm support asked me to go to: www.palm.com/rom to download WebOS Doctor, which I did. I downloaded the file. Although that was the case he had hold the button "volume +" and connect the phone to the charger. This caused a USB symbol will appear on the phone. When the record was complete, I got an error message which could not run the file. Palm tech support person seemed surprised. I mentioned that I was on a Mac and he said he couldn't help me. He me transferred to another person from Palm support that works with Mac users.

Palm #2 tech support person advised me that I should have selected the download option 'mac' on www.palm.com/rom. I verbally walked him through the series of Web pages, telling him it is said that you need Windows (any version) or Mac (whatever version), but that at no time was there a possibility to download another WebOS doctor for different operating systems. After an exchange of views over she told me that she would have to have someone call back me tomorrow.

-Third series of questions: phone stuck on the USB symbol.

So for the moment, the phone is completely useless. Not fantastic. I started the mac on Windows 7 and downloaded WebOS Doc and received the same error message. I also ran Windows Vista virtually and received the same error message. Later this afternoon, I head into work to try the same thing on Windows XP.

In the meantime, I got on this forum and found a thread that has provided a direct link to the necessary file:

    Palm.CDNetworks.net/Staging/ROM/webosdoctorp100ewwsprint.jar

After downloading this file, I realized could totally be a virus, I was able to get WebOS Doc work on my computer. It took that I recharge the phone before, and now it's on the screen that says 'do not disconnect your phone' and the full file of 3%. Only... it was completed for almost 30 minutes to 3%.

I hope that Palm will follow-up with me tomorrow, but I'm leaving on a business trip at 7:00 and I would love to have the thing work. All suggestions are welcome, even if you can just tell me how to get her think disconnected safely before my flight tomorrow. I want to get through security with my phone plugged into my laptop.

    Thank you.

I picked up the phone at the local Sprint store and the sales ago replaced the phone. They were unable to understand what went wrong and, essentially, has declared a complete failure of the unit. I'm sorry that I'm not able to offer better news, but I hope that this info is useful to you.

  • Transferred to Palm Desktop for Palm Pre event calendar are incorrect

My old phone, a Center, has been synchronized using Palm Desktop 6.2.1 on Vista. I used the data migration tool, and all my data transferred to my Palm Pre. (Just directly Palm Desktop > Palm Pre).

The only problem is that a lot of my events are not on the correct days (ex: an event in Palm Desktop comes Sunday, now appears on my Palm Pre Monday).

I don't have the time to sort out again all my calendar events since this is the case of random events.

Other complaints that I have on the calendar, it's that the birthdays of my contacts do not appear as events, even those in Agenda facebook. In addition, it would be nice to be able to classify the events and color coding in the calendar.

For transfers of schedule of the Palm Desktop, upgrading your Palm Desktop version 6.2.2 (rather than just the 6.2 shown in the migration instructions) will prevent specific annual date all day events, such as birthdays and other events, to appear on the wrong day.

He let still one day of the week of the annual events, like Thanksgiving, the demand for each 1 month instead of every 12 months.  These must be set manually on the meadow.
