• InDesign CC 2014 spinning wheel for 3 seconds each time when moving objects

  I'm working on a magazine, not that big, 64 pages (I do often 100s of pages) and it's happened before with CC. I move a text box, picture, shape, QR code or anything on the page, I get the spinning wheel for about 3 seconds until the object is moving and the slider is 'released '. Sometimes up to 6-7 seconds. If I press "Cancel", takes an object as much time to go back. Seems to be random, the document is well a minute, but if it starts to happen with a document from the downturn and it won't go away.

  Hi, yes I can confirm that it is due to copying items to another InDesign file.

  Not really a problem as it is a bug in InDesign, but here is the workaround:

  • If you have copied elements of another InDesign file, open the old folder and look at all the temp files appearing while you have the wheel (you may need to 'show hidden files' in Solution Explorer folder options.) If a temporary file keeps appearing and disappearing in this folder, which is the culprit.
  • So rename the old folder (use an underscore or similar). Then, indesign will not be able to refer to the old folder and create these odd temporary files.
  • If you copy any form elements more other InDesign files, you must rename those files (or rename this folder once again), but do not change the name of the original name because it will start to slow down again in InDesign.

  If the computer will beep while you type, key levers or sticky keys are active. The ToggleKeys can emit a beep when you press the lock keys. The function StickyKeys can emit a beep when you press the CTRL, Alt, shift, and locking. Use the following steps to disable the ToggleKeys:

  1. click on Start, and then type ease in the search field.
  2. Select from the list the easy access programs.
  3. scroll and select make the keyboard easier to use.
  4. If selected, remove the selection to turn on sticky keys.
  5. click on Configure keys to sticky.
  6 remove the selection to activate StickyKeys by pressing SHIFT five times.
  7. click on Save.
  8 remove the selection to activate the ToggleKeys.
  9. If selected, remove the selection to activate the ToggleKeys in now key Numlock for 5 seconds.
  10. click on Save.

  Check if it works.

  For the keyboard typing slowing down everything by typing you need reduce the time between the characters pressed.

  Having just upgraded to Windows 10, I saw the same problem.   Went through all the steps on the bridge cache clearing, looking for files dead under 'Libraries', etc.  (There is no network drive).    Looked at the parser performance and noticed bridge launched 50 threads when I chose a picture.   Thought that maybe the Tablet sent a stream of interruptions.   I use a Wacom Intuos 3 (model PTZ). Uninstalled his drivers, downloaded the latest Wacom.  Reset.  No help.   But under properties of Wacom mapping tab, I noticed a strange option "Use Windows Ink" active.  Disabled, and bridge now works well.

• Satellite L500-12F will beep for 10 seconds

  This is my first posting of time on these forums. But for me it is quite an urgent issue.
  This afternoon my laptop (Satellite L500 12th) beeps for 10 seconds. Now, to be a bit lazy and reading a book will excuse me it'd be natural, while the sound was rather piercing. Well, I'll get to the point: I sat down earlier and the laptop just started a sound signal. For each a different length. When this happened the frozen screen and it does not seem like there was a way to disable. I turned off and cool in quite awhile, but now as I started it up it did not at the windows screen until the beep came back and I had to turn it off... This happens every time. IM starting to think that something melted, or it's a virus. But I'm not good at these things!

  Any help on this would be much appreciated, more the better soon.

  I am trying to write the data file of a waveform for 5 seconds early in the race of VI, then 5 seconds after every 60 seconds. I did a VI for that attached and also please refer to the screenshot for my question. As you can see from the screenshot I can record the waveforms in the beginning and after every 60 seconds, but the problem is I want to write it as file screw continues to run away for 5 seconds at each iteration.

  There are several ways to do it as well. One way is to use an another shift register to power the 'new file' entry of the writing on a file of measures, as shown in the attached amendment. Note that the configuration of writing custom file VI must have the value if it does not create a new file once it reaches 100K, which has been verified.
