Cheats and XBox 360 Modder

I wonder when Microsoft will get tough with these console modders. They make

their mission to harass, cajoling and generally spoil the fun of your average player.

I had a horrible time with this particular person.

Gamertag:

What is the next step for a modder/hacker in this case? This person is cheating with impunity.

  • Running and Xbox 360 via Windows Media Center

Hello, I am a new student of college, and because my funds are limited I am using my Xbox 360 via my PC monitor. When I bought my computer, I got also a HDTV Tuner with composite video options. Through their software, I could connect my xbox and see it, but I was wondering if there was a way I could do it through Windows Media Center or something similar. I saw that there is a cable that goes from the Xbox to VGA, but I think that there will be problems with the sound (where I have the red/white audio cables?). Not sure if there is a converter or not, but like I said before, funds are limited. Thanks for all your help and I look forward to hear from someone as soon as possible.

    Tyler Campbell

    Hey TechTyler,

Since you have only one monitor and want to connect your PC and X - Box for the same monitor, I suggest that you try to find a separator that would help you get out of the XBox and the PC. You can use one of those to get the result on the same monitor of 2 devices. Who would use a VGA cable to connect 2 devices. You will be able to switch between your PC and the X - Box.You can try to search separator you can use to connect two monitors. I hope this information helps.

However, we at microsoft do not recommend or suggest one of these, you will need to use them at your own risk.

    Thank you

  • Windows Vista Media Extender and xbox 360 connection problem

I get the following error message when you try to connect my xbox 360 to my PC to vista through the Windows Media Center extension
    Connection complete

The Xbox 360 has been disconnected because an application has launched unexpectedly UI. You want to reconnect?

I followed all the steps of your forums that are supposed to resolve these issues, but he continues to be. What can I do to fix this?

    Hi Snufferum,

    Thanks for posting on answers.com.

First, disable the program anti-virus or firewall that runs on your computer and check if the problem persists.

Note: because some anti-virus software will cause conflicts between unexpected applications, please temporarily disable any antivirus, firewall or anti-spam on your computer programs.

This problem occurs if the floating language bar is enabled on the Windows Vista-based Media Center computer. This configuration closes the connection between the Media Center Extender and the Media Center PC.

To resolve this problem, change the settings of the Media Center Extender language bar. To do this, follow these steps.

Step 1: Configuring settings on the Windows Vista - based Media Center computer

    1. Click Start , type intl.cpl in the Start Search box and press ENTER.
    2. On the keyboards and languages tab, click Change keyboards .
    3. On the Language bar tab, click docked in the taskbar under options from the language bar .
    4. Click OK .
    5. On the administration tab, click copy to reserved accounts .

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click continue .

    1. Click on the checkbox by default (new users) user account , and then click OK twice.
    2. Click Start and then click Windows Media Center .
    3. Click tasks , and then click settings .
    4. Click Extender , and then on the Xbox 360.
    5. Click Uninstall , and then close Windows Media Center.

Step 2: Configuring the settings of the Xbox 360 console

    1. In the System of the Xbox interface section, select computers .
    2. Select Windows Media Center , and then press the A button.
    3. Select Disconnect .
    4. Press the B button repeatedly until you return to the System section.
    5. In the media of the Xbox interface section, select Media Center .
    6. Advance in the instructions on the screen to get the 8-digit setup key.
    7. Note the setup button.

Step 3: Configuring the settings on the Windows Vista - based Media Center computer

    1. Click Start and then click Windows Media Center .
    2. Click tasks , and then click add extender .
    3. Click Next and enter the 8-digit setup key you obtained media of the Xbox interface section.
    4. Follow the prompts to complete setup of Windows Media Extender.

When you copy these settings for reserve accounts in the 1st step, you change the settings of language bar for all new users that are created on the Media Center computer. After you add the Windows Media Extender, you can reverse these changes so that all new users will have a floating language bar. To do this, follow these steps on the Windows Vista-based Media Center computer:

    1. Click Start , type intl.cpl in the Start Search box and press ENTER.
    2. On the keyboards and languages tab, click Change keyboards .
    3. On the Language bar tab, click floating on the desktop under the language bar options .
    4. Click OK .
    5. On the administration tab, click copy to reserved accounts .

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click continue .

    1. Click on the checkbox by default (new users) user account , and then click OK twice.

  • 8 of Windows and Xbox 360 connectivity issues

Since the update to Windows 8, I'm having problems with streaming of media to my Xbox 360.

Previously, I had windows 7 and has been able to stream multimedia content (movies and music), or via the Media Center windows, or by connecting to my PC via the Xbox drive and folder navigation.
Since the update to Windows 8 Media Center not connecting, he used even together upwards. I enter the 7 digit code set up and my computer says it cannot establish a connection. I tried to connect to my PC through the Xbox and when it can not connect.
In the list of devices, the Xbox is displayed and even so capricious it shows that the Xbox is online and I am able to stream on my 360 using the video app and selecting "send to device" and selecting the 360. Unfortunately, this will randomly cut everything playing and yesterday would not work?
I am running windows 8 Pro 64-bit with media center installed. I am connected via WIFI to my router, but my Xbox 360 has a wired connection
Please help, I'm getting so frustrated that I spent a fortune on upgrading my PC and OS lose all the features, I already had
    Thank you very much

Copy and beyond music in your cloud files, this makes select all your music and right click on the files you want to play or your xbox. Scroll down and select the option 'include in the library', and then click music.

As says Peteanon go to windows medial player and make sure that the name of your xbox is checked, and then click Next until you get a password to get into your local network share there are three pages. When you reach the last click on print password and instructions. Follow the instructions on how to configure a password sharing between your xbox and pc.

for the last two days that I had a connection problem after that I followed this method my music perfectly.

Note: I have an xbox 360 and I am sure that it will work with the xbox one, but it should make note.

  • Problems with WRT160N and Xbox 360 - please help

    Hello

I recently bought a WRT160N router and when I play games online (Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 2) it takes about 10 minutes to find a game then that in the Hall. I didn't put in the door or disconnected from my profile, there's just a lot of time. It says that my NAT type is open. I've isolated the problem is the router because if I plug in an ethernet cable from the 360 to the DSL modem I find games instantly. I examined the port forwarding and open ports on the 360 and specifically for modern warfare 2 and it was actually my NAT type go as strict, ironic. I have spent 5 hours trying to mess with this and can't seem to make it work right. If someone could please help me on the settings or have any other ideas that would be greatly appreciated.

As your ISP is a provider DSL, most providers DSL has setup their modem in DHCP Mode, so your Modem acts like a router. So, right now, your Setup is NAT behind NAT. So if you try to open the Ports on your Linksys router it does not work as your Modem Hangs only ports.

So the best way to work is to convert your Modem in Bridge Mode and it will solve all your problems.

  • Problems with media sharing of computer for Playstation 3, xbox 360, PLEASE HELP!

I can't streaming media from my computer to my PS3 and Xbox 360 (media sharing) through her router (Network). I always listen to movies, music, photos etc from my computer on my Playstation 3 but recently the windows icon ceased to appear on PS3 when I turn it on. Also my xbox is telling me that it is unable to connect with my computer. The strange thing is, internet works perfectly fine for everything and I checked my network share settings and my computer has detected two game systems and are both allowed to share media over the network. I just can't understand why (& PS3 Xbox 360) game systems ceased to recognize my computer suddenly but the xbox live and PSN (online games) work very well. All the world had a similar problem and help me?

  • I can't configure windows media center in my xbox 360 s. My pc is not as visible in the console while my desktop is visible.

original title: don't Set Up Extender

    PC: HP Pavilion dv7

    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

    Console: Xbox 360 s

    Router: Linksys WRT160Nv3

I can't configure windows media center in my xbox 360 s. My pc is not as visible in the console while my desktop is visible. I tried all the suggestions available in the internet on the topic. Still, I can not connect my PC and Xbox 360. Windows Security Essentials and spy doctor PC Tools are installed in my PC.

Found the problem, at least for me anyway.  I had to disable my internet connection shared on my Windows 7 computer.  Once I disabled internet sharing it worked like a charm.

I have windows 7 and xbox 360. I want to share my library from my laptop to my xbox. share a few songs, many of them shared before the update to windows 7, but many new downloads don't share, but if I copy a CD to the hard drive he also shares. The only difference I see between a sharing file and a file that is only WMPNetworkSVC has permission on those who play. How can I get all my files to have this permission?

    Hi Cedric1221,

Where have you checked the WMPNetworkSVC authorization for these files?

WMPNetworkSVC windows media player help for sharing his library with network. Check if the network of windows media sharing service player is started and set to automatic.

You can open windows services by clicking on Start button and type services.msc, and then press ENTER.

  • Can I play Xbox 360 games on my computer that has Windows8?

I have a laptop that has Windows8 - there a few XBox games - I was wondering if I can play XBox360 games on this computer

No, you can play XBOX on PC game discs.  The games that you see are games that will establish a connection with your XBOX Live account and you give points and rewards, but you cannot just put a XBOX disc into your player and play.  It will always take and XBOX 360 for that.
