Check read the code 0000 T500 failed error even with a new hard drive

Hello

My T500 was slammed very hard one day, once I reboot, he worked for half an hour and gave up. I tested via the BIOS, he gave me code 0000 read failed error check.

I presume that the HD is dead, inserted an a healthy Interior and works very well for a few hours and give up once again, tested by BIOS gave me the same error code.

I was wondering what problem could be?

best,

Sy

You can also prove that it is a SATA interface error by testing two hard drives in a box USB or Firewire. If you can live without portability, then perhaps this is also an option to use the T500 in the future.

It would probably depend on the status of the warranty of the system.

  • Work around the Error Message with an encrypted hard drive?

I have an external hard drive using Truecrypt encrypted. AutoPlay (at least I thought it was Autoplay) kept asking if I wanted to format when I tried to mount it after encryption.

I've renamed the reader. TrueCrypt mounted, which means some... put in Windows enabled him to be recognized. But after entering the password, Windows wouldn't let me open it. First of all, asked me again if I wanted to format the drive. When I chose still cancel, a long error message appeared.

    Hello

In dealing with the problem with Truecrypt application, I suggest you to publish the query on the Truecrypt forums for assistance.

In Windows, we have a built-in feature to the disc, called BitLocker encryption. You can use it too. Check out the link for more on this topic.

  • E9 error loading windows 7 new hard drive

Am having a problem of loading Windows 7 on a HP Pavilion p6241f. I tried using recovery software that was created by the local store here and when it doesn't work, I borrowed a copy of Windows 7 Home premium from a friend. During the first boot of windows, the software times out with an error E9.

The original software recovery disk only arrives at 8%, then stays there. In an effort to solve the problems, I downloaded the cyberlink "fix" (from this website) and created the CD, this update was for arising problems while performing a system restore, but that did not fix my problem and so... I decided to borrow the copy of windows 7 Home premium.

If I'm stuck with a boat anchor? I don't really want to bring it to HP for repair! Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hello

Your PC model number was first delivered in 2009.  The COA PC is Win 7 64 bit or are you referring to the COA for the Win 7 install disc?

HP recovery disks are generally reluctant to HARD drive smaller than what has been delivered with the PC. It is from your PC, comes with a 1 TB HARD drive. Thus the recovery disks created by the repair shop should work on a 1 TB HARD drive, unless they are defective.

Is the advanced format HDD 1 TB HARD drive? I think that previous versions of HP Win 7 recovery disks will not work on an advanced format HDD.

You can order a set of recovery discs here. Or you could try to download the right version of Win 7 SP1 Refresh of ISO media here, burn it to disc and try to reinstall Win 7 64 bit with the disc. You should be able to activate Windows 7 using the certificate of Authenticity affixed to your PC.

You may also have a problem with the SATA controller on the motherboard or it could be a problem with the SATA port you use. Try another SATA cable and connect it to another motherboard SATA port.

Is- this utility from Cyberlink you tried to use it with the HP recovery discs?

I'm out of ideas. Maybe another more knowledgeable forum member has some additional thoughts.

  • Operating system and the new hard drive

    I have a question:

    I have a HP a4302f - with stock specifications:

A computer virus has little or nothing to do with a hard disk crash. Please include the exact error messages and/or screens that remains stuck on the computer.

A 500 GB hard drive at 7200 RPM SATAII should run around $ 45 to $ 70, and the operating system can range from $ 0 to $ 30 depending on exactly how handle you the situation.

Is that what you had created your HP recovery disc set staff when you first set up your computer, you would be able to return the computer to a factory State even with a new hard drive. Since it does not appear that you have created these disks, you must buy a set of HP recovery disks or disk installation of operating system with COA and product key. None of these methods should work as expected and you will leave with an operating system on the new hard drive.

You can order a set of discs of HP recovery directly from HP or third-party ComputerSurgeons.com. Purchase of a full blown Windows OS is not really necessary and you can actually download the Windows operating system to use with the key already on the side of your computer. For a hard drive, look at Frys.com Newegg.com, Amazon.com, etc.

If you have any other questions, please post them here.

  • 0xe0f00013 (new hard drive) retrieving error code

Laptop model: HP envy 14 beats 1260se, windows 7 64 bit.

OK, here's the story. A couple of weeks ago, I did a test drive and this error 'problem of intelligent control' came, and after spending some time on the internet, I discovered that I need to change my hard drive. I created a post as well, here is the link:http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-e-g-Windows-8/Smart-check-issue/m-p/2337229

So now, I bought a new hard drive and the model is: 750Go momentus XT (link:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-750GB-Momentus-Serial-Hybrid/dp/B0068QO82G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=13... )

I replaced my HD and so my recovery disks to reinstall windows and basically copy all the original files in the new HD. However, at the end of the restore process (7 discs), I received this error: "Recovery Manager could not restore your computer by using the original image. Please contact HP support. "Error code: 0xe0f00013.

And then after I pressed 'Finish', he went on the screen of my laptop which basically a HP logo appears and it stops right there!

I have no idea what to do now and it becomes really annoying!

    Thank you, Aria.

    Hi Aria,

It seems that you bought a hybrid car and this is probably what causes the error when you try to use your initial recovery disks.

Here is another solution, you can try which should allow you to load Windows 7 on your new HARD drive.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - IE Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is Here. These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-Windows-7-by-phone.aspx

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.

  • Pavilion a1710n impossible to enter the BIOS from the put in new hard drive

I have a HP Pavilion a1710n desktop initially under Vista Home Premium.  Problem is hard disk came out, I then replaced with a hard drive Western Digital SATA of similar type.  However, now I am unable to enter BIOS using F10 or Escape or by pressing the F1 key turning on the PC.  When I tried to put Vista on the PC, it stopped and gave me an error 0 x 80070002; Lack of D:\Sources\Installation, which I do not know what it means exactly or how to fix it.  I had already updated the Vista Home Premium to Win7 Pro.  Given that the disc is a disc update of Win7, guess I'll have to reinstall Vista first and then update again to Win7 Pro?  At the moment everything I have on the PC is the new hard drive without any Windows operating system and my PC doesn't seem to be reading the new hard drive, I think, and in the Start Menu, it is shown as 3rd master drive and DVD is 2nd Master.  So what happened the 1st master?  No what should be my new hard drive?  I'm always so frustrated and of course, my PC is long out of warranty, although I tried calling support without much help I'm afraid.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello again patticat22,

Thank you for responding to my message. If I understand your reference Bravo you check to see if you can find a solution? If and it would be better to search for accepted Solutions because they are used to indicate that a solution has been found, where a Bravo must indicate appreciate for a position.

As for your question, I think it could be a drive for the failure of the installation that you have and recommend you order another set. I'm you provide a link to the HP Support document: looking for HP recovery discs or a USB HP recovery disk?, which has all the necessary steps to guide you through the ordering a new set of recovery disks. There may be a fee for ordering them, but I think this will solve your problem and get your computer back operational.

So you can try to use the HP support document: removing and replacing the CMOS battery, that you want to remove the battery (keep out 24 hours before putting it again) and put it back. This should clear your BIOS and reset back to factory. If the BIOS is still inaccessible after that, I think it would be best if you contacted technical support HP for repair options.

United States supports Contact link options HP products purchased in the United States.
Outside WE support link to connect with options for HP products purchased outside the United States.

Please re-post though I have well understood you or if you need additional support. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great weekend!

  • New hard drive for HP Pavilion dv6 drive because of error messages 303 and 305

    Hello

My laptop was getting slower and slower, so I did a restore default via the recovery partition, and when it restarts to start reformat and reinstall back to factory condition, I got a message on the screen telling me to run the hard drive test. Did it and got error 303 and 305 messages. Restore to preset works however, after doing research in the error codes I go account, I'm for a new hard drive.

My laptop is a HP Pavilion dvd6-3203TU with WIndows 7 Home Premium installed. It currently has a disk 320 GB TOSHIBA MK3265GSXX HDD in it.

After reading the forums, I am pleased to see that my recovery disks will be reinstalling everything on a new hard drive and partition a C: drive and also the recovery partition. The main issue I have is my new drive hard must it be 320 GB in size as the original or to buy something like a disk 500 GB + for the laptop. If I have to replace the hard drive that I can as will increase size while, if possible i.e..

It must also be a Toshiba or I can buy another brand?

Eager to help regarding this I thank you in advance as

    Hello

Your laptop is listed as coming with a 320 GB hard drive, but you can install just as easily a 500 GB or 750 GB HARD drive if you want more space - readers at the following links are examples that would be perfect for your laptop - you are in no way limited to a particular manufacturer.

    Hard drive 500 GB

    750 GB hard drive.

The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 65 of your & Maintenance Guide.

  • HARD drive failed - attempt to recover with new HARD drive

    Hello

My wife & I have the exact same model laptop computer Pavilion dv6, its hard drive has recently failed the test & stuck on the preparation of repair automatic screen

If I create a my laptop recovery disk & load with a new hard drive installed on his laptop that work or are unique to each laptop recovery disks?

    Thank you

    Hello

Recovery disks read one "tattoo" on the chip for the bios to make sure that they are used on the correct machine, however as long as the two laptops are identical (that is to say that they have the exact same material and came with the same version of Windows), then the disks created on your laptop should also work on machine of your wife.

Note:  When to replace the HARD drive, choose a disk of the same capacity (or slightly more is okay) as the original - installing a drive which is lower in quality that the original often causes problems with the recovery process.

  • Operating system on the new hard drive recovery

    Hello

The hard drive of my Satellite 1900 303 hangs almost (SMART), and the warranty has expired.
Can I put a new hard drive in it and use the old recovery DVDs to put Windows XP on it? (I suspect it works only on the original hard drive)

    Hi Randy

You can do it. Features of the different operating system Toshiba tools don t depend on HARD drive.

Change the HARD drive and install the OS using the Toshiba Recovery CD. This will work. If you have any problems please write again.
