  You can't hide entire tables due to the boxes in another. You can use the IF statement to hide (do an empty string), which shows in a cell.

  Hoping that someone out there can help me. My iMac is updated to the latest version of iTunes and my MacBookPro is not. My MacBookPro has the option on my new playlists to show checkboxes next to each song, that my iMac does not have this menu drop-down to change the "Playlist" to "songs", leaving me stuck in some adjustment the playlist was already conducting.

  Is there any solution for this? My work is based on me using the checkboxes. If this feature has been disabled for new versions of iTunes, I'll never be able to update iTunes on my MacBookPro, or even buy another Mac.

  My iTunes for Windows version 12.3.3.17 music library has always organized automatically by itunes with all the files placed in the album and records of the artist, with the song title names preceded the disc number, track number, etc..

  I don't like it. This creates a maze of unwanted, unnecessary nested folders such as [name of artist]------\(tune list) [Album 1 name], [artist name]------[Album 2 name] \(tune list), etc.  or, in many cases, [artist name] \Unknown Album\(tune list).

  I have cloned my Itunes Media\Music file and traversed the clone, all music files manually non-breeders (all I want is artist Name\ [tune list]...) I don't want to see songs of the artist sorted into subfolders based on the album of the artist names, and I am certainly not zillions of subfolders "Unknown Album" being intended to receive the different air in cases where iTunes is unable to identify the name of the album because at some point in the past, I've copied CD tracks on my PC as .aiffs and then imported into iTunes to mp3 stripping inadvertently names album from metadata of files.)

  Once the clone folder was all cleaned up, I opened iTunes and it deleted my entire library of music.

  I closed iTunes, DISCONNECTED MY COMPUTER FROM the INTERNET and then restarted iTunes. In PREFERENCES, I made sure the checkbox 'Keep iTunes media folder organized' has been DISABLED so that iTunes can no longer "place files in folders of album and artist and name the files based on the number of the disc, track number and the title of the song.

I then have an if-then statement that resembles the column of boxes to check and determine which of the two columns will be the grade. This formula is identical to the eye in two worksheets.   The elements required for each activity are in another table. You can 'hide' this table by moving (copy / paste) to another sheet. The formulas will adjust automatically.

  You can do this with a script.

  1. Copy-paste in the Script Editor (in Applications > utilities)
  2. Select all cells with checkboxes
  3. Click the button run

  If you want to you can put this in a Service of Automator to make it a choice of numbers menu > Services.  You can also attach a keyboard shortcut.

  Instead of selecting cells first, it is also possible to edit the script for it uncheck a box it finds anywhere in the document.  But that can lead to unexpected results.  If you need that, though, right after.

• I can't iTunes to temporarily ignore the checkboxes for playback?

  Pretty much what the title says. I uncheck some songs in my main library because I rarely, if ever play and I don't want to have to jump on them when they come to shuffle. However, recently, I wanted to listen to all the songs on a series of albums together, and I have playlist for these albums, but right now a lot of songs are unchecked. I don't want to go through the hassle to check all these songs and then remembering those to uncheck/go through the process of unchecking them when I return to the main song list (it's six albums in total).

  It also seems kind of ridiculous create a playlist of the songs just checked in my main library; as I have to update every time that I get more music.

  Is it possible to get iTunes to temporarily ignore the boxes for purposes of reading? Or, failing that, a way to assign only a playlist by checking / unchecking the boxes?

  I am currently using iTunes 11.0.0.163, for what it's worth.

  You can disable the checkboxes in the preferences. This prevents them affecting playback. Otherwise if you drag stuff until then he plays enabled or not. Note You can also set pieces chosen to ignore during random playback.
