  To configure Windows Mail to your Gmail address:

  1. Enable POP in your email account.  Don't forget to click save changes when you're done.
  2. Open Windows Mail.
  3. Click the Tools menu and select accounts...
  4. Click on Add...
  5. Select e-mail account, and then click Next.
  6. Type your name as you want it to appear in the ' from:' field of outgoing messages, and then click Next.
  7. Enter your full Gmail address (* address email is removed from the privacy *). Google Apps users, enter your full address in the format * address email is removed from the privacy *. »
  8. Fill in all necessary fields to include the following information:

     Incoming mail server type: POP3

     Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: pop.gmail.com. Google Apps users, enter the name of the server provided, do not add your domain name to these steps.

     Outgoing mail server (SMTP) name: smtp.gmail.com

     Outgoing server requires authentication: activated

  10. Click Next, then check the box next to do not download my e-mail at this time. Click Finish.
  11. On the Internet accounts screen, make sure that your e-mail pop.gmail.com account is selected, and click the Properties button.
  12. On the Advanced tab, enter 465 in the in the box look of outgoing (SMTP) mailand check this server requires an encrypted connection (SSL).
  13. Check this server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) under mail incoming (POP3). The Incoming mail (POP3) box should be updated automatically to 995.
  14. Click on OK. You're done! Close the Internet accounts window, click send/receive to start checking your Gmail messages.

  You can't zoom in and out of an email or a text Message, but you can set a size larger font for your device, Options > keyboard/screen.

  I have advanced and deleted cookies.

  After that, I tried to sign, it worked. I signed in and signed another 3 times and it seems that everything has been restored.

• I have an attachment to an Outlook Express in my Windows Mail Inbox. I just can't get out of Windows Mail and in a folder.

  Vista SP2 64-bit of Windows Mail. On another computer (XP Home Premium, 32-bit Outlook Expr), I scanned a picture and saved in .bmp format. I have it attached to an e-mail that I sent to my other computer (the computer on which I write this) and was missing the extension in the name of the file and I can not move the file to a folder on the C drive? I also tried to import the image by copy and paste file into a flash drive. When I open the flash drive on this computer, the image file is missing.  All ideas, including not to buy a machine to print/copy/scan for this computer or our machine print/copy/scan to install on this computer.

  Changing your password will have absolutely no effect on spam.  If you want to eliminate spam, change your email address.  Your password protects you against hackers breaking in your account (a common thing these days) and using your account to send messages to your contacts.

  Once you have changed your password to BT, you must also change it in your e-mail program.

  Let us know what e-mail program you use and one of you will show how to change there.

• Mail out of Live Mail, Windows 7

  My Windows Live Mail was not able to connect with my Comcast Email accout on outbound only for the last 3 days.  I get the error message "0x800CCC0E IXP_E_FAILED_TO_CONNECT cannot connect to the server.  I have not changed my settings. Incoming is a lot of work.

  What's the full error message? What is a POP3 account?

  Does it not a threat to security if you do not logout. How can I be sure that my account will not be hacked? I looked everywhere but could not find a logout option.

  If you use the Mail application in Windows 8, you don't have to connect your own PC. But if you do not use any other PC, it is recommended that connect you with Mail App first and use the webmail.

  There is no Logout button in the Mail application, but you could remove your email App instead of this account is the law as logout option. Take a look at:

  This link here explains how you start in safe mode on your PC model. Follow this link and to inform the community if you have any questions. That's what we're here for.
  Also if you have any extra keyboard in your House, I think it would be a good idea to UN plug your keyboard present and connect your keyboard very different (even if your computer is off course).
  And my final advice is to follow this link and it is on the site of Dell Drivers. Type the information he needs, and it will display the "engines" of your computer uses. The drivers are what make that equipment works properly with your software. So I recommend that you make sure that your drivers are correctly installed and up-to-date. Once again if you have any questions.

  If you use a Microsoft account to log into Windows, you can not disconnect from the Mail app. If you need to add other accounts to the application, open the charm of parameters, and then click accounts to add other accounts.

• iOS9 iPad keeps retrieving very old IMAP mail?

  I'm at the end of my mind. IOS automatically converts iPad into IMAP e-mail accounts? I have a huge archive of email on my MacBook Pro, and I'm NOT all that clutter my iPad, so I put in place to have pop accounts But now I'm randomly absolutely HUGE pile of mail that goes back at least a year or two or more big lumps. I just delete. I emptied the Recycle Bin. I emptied my SERVER from the iPad and the MacBook PRO continuously.   NOW I have a lot of hundreds or more like thousands of emails, I deleted at least five or six times over the past two days. I mean that I deleted the SAME mails, who then return. I did a reboot of the machine with no joy. Just out the blue mail that has been deleted from the MacBook pro AND the server comes as a zombie.  In addition, I get to a situation where the mailboxes don't report any email at all, but the MAIL icon shows a big backlog of unread emails.

  Is it converted to iMap and insisting on syncing with my MacBook Pro? If it is an inevitable option, I have to give up the stupid iPad.  Help!

  OK - couple of things

  Best of my knowledge - the iPad will not sync with MBP

  Then, go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, calendars - go in the e-mail in question account - if she says something like iCloud SMTP Server or the Server SMTP of Yahoo - this is IMAP

  Third - have you had a chance of directly log on to the web portal of the email provider? So for Yahoo email, it would be mail.yahoo.com - and detailed emails from there? It is understandable that you want to keep on the EM and IF your Mac is POP - remove server will not delete NOT them since the mail client - however you can make a copy of the mail folder and store for more security and peace of mind

  Updated to filter out junk e-mail in Outlook 2007 (KB972691) there are a few days that a major update will not install on m ycomputer. No message other than an unknown error code 80070641 and one remains that I still have a significant update to install. Not a major concern if it wasn't for the fact that he's trying to install the update every time I shut down Windows and continues to see messages that I have an important update I should install.

  The junk e-mail filter is not critical for me, so is it possible to disable this update? Since it is a non optional update, I can't hide it by right-clicking the update in the Windows Update window. I tried to download and install the update manually with the same result.

  I am running Vista business and Office 2007 Standard. I've never had problems with the previous updates.
