  An external CSS file must be written in CSS only (no html tag like,,etc.).

  I have found cleaners and tried both version 4 and version 2 as Windows uninstall although I still have version 11 on my system, but could not uninstall it.  Even after using detergents and restarting, the installation of Acrobat Reader complained that it was a newer version of the PC alreadyon and came out of the installer.

  I finally decided to remove all records of Adobe in C:\ProgramData and that did the trick.  I was able to reinstall the version 11 player, and I think I'll stay with that after the nightmare of all clouds 'features' in Windows 10.

  Found a solution:

  Go in Subject: config and change plugins.load_appdir_plugins from false to true. Apparently FF21 assigns the value false by default causing it to not detect plug-ins installed in this way.

  Try rebooting to see if that solves the problem.

  Otherwise, go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and scroll down to EXE and click or double-click it to run the program to restore EXE file associations.  Once done, do the same for LNK entry.  That should restore your programs and your get your operation icons.

  If this does not work, do a system restore to just before the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re-install any software and updates that you have installed and uninstall any software that you have removed between now and the point of restoration, but you can use Windows Update for updates.
