Choice of the browser downloaded on my computer I deleted it (thinking it was the virus) but now problems
I use IE7 on a Windows XP Home Edition computer. The other day I noticed a new icon on my desk, 'browser choice '. This thought was a virus or something of mischievous I deleted all records related to the it search in the start menu option. However, since the deletion, I get the icon in my task bar that updates are ready to be installed, which is "Browser Microsoft Choice screen Update for users of the EEA of Windows XP (KB976002)". When I try and install the update, it gives me an error message saying that there can be no error code: 0x800F0102. This update comes on my computer every time I turn it on now and it seems to be very slow. I tried to restore my computer to a start time, but it does make a difference. I also did a virus scan and malware. Can someone help me solve the problem any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

Reset the computer to start as usual

My daughter's office got fried during the last storm, even though she had a surge protector. Obviously the power company line was bad. The pc seems to have gone to a previous set point during the boot, but now she can not install software and doesn't seem to have Norton AV more. I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
Method 1:
Run the scan tool (SFC) System File Checker and check if it helps.
This problem may occur if a system file is missing or damaged.
