Cingular blackBerry smartphone browser

I configured our pocket computers for access to the internet through a corporate proxy server. It works very well for the blackberry browser. Cingular browser ignores the settings and allows full access to the internet. I can't understand how to force the Cingualr browser to use the same configuration, or or turn it off. Can either be done?

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open when you click on it!

So I just got the storm (great phone btw), the first thing I decided to do is to download the mobile app of facebook. As I tried to download it, it seemed that my phone had frozen. So after a bit of waiting time, I pushed the Finish button. I received two error messages (don't remember now) and that's it. As soon as I tried to open my browser once again, he did not open and has not opened since. I tried to restart the blackberry - nothing.

Just to clarify, I can select and click on the browser, but it does not open. Any ideas on what I can do?

    You rebooted the BB how?

To do this: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Try again and let us know.

Hi I'm new to BB. Just a few questions:

    (1) each time, I get a message notification (either he missed call or a sms alert).

Now, my request is: someone knows a way that when the "Messages" icon is clicked on

No, when you have a new message and you go to the message folder, you can see the last place where you left, but if you press T (top) you can see the new messages. (new messages are always in the top and you cannot change it)

  • Icon missing blackBerry smartphone browser

The icon of my browser went MIA. And yes I have tried to find the hidden icons (view all)... it isn't there either. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  • Lines of unnecessary horizontal blackBerry smartphone browser where the text should be

I think that there was some issues similar to this, but the descriptions were not quite the same thing: when I use the browser on my Blackberry Torch, for example to use Google, the results all out them as horizontal lines, with the odd word here and there. When I go directly to Web sites, there are also horizontal lines, where the text should be. It makes the completely useless browser.

I had this same problem with the first Blackberry Torch, I got. The service provider took it back and gave me a new one, which has now begun to do the same.

Does anyone know how to fix this, please?

    Thank you

This happened to me some time ago.  The difficulty for me was to do a "hard reset" of the device.  Remove the battery, or press (hold down together, like on a PC) 3 keys: the 'Alt' key, press ' Caps/Shift' and the 'DELETE' key (the same as back).  After he re-boots, I hope your problem disappears.

  • BB app world and blackBerry smartphone browser do not work

My BB was to hang on for a day last week, so I went back to the store for service and 3 days later they msn me and told me that I have a new phone for the replacement.  I thought that the problem I had before must be solved, but it didn't!

    I found 2 problems:

    (1) I had problem with browser before and this "new phone" have the same problem! (I don't think that they replace a new phone for me - I think they replace that box)

Error: error HTTP 400: bad request - the server could not understand the page request, or was not able to process for some reason any. Try to connect to another page"

    (2) BB Apps world - he was working before I sent the legacy to the store for service, but now this 'new phoen"will not work and the error message on the display: you need to upgrade this version of BB App World to contiune - then I click 'Download' after 30 seconds then I got the same error HTTP 400 error message :...

    Advise would be great

    Thank you

This is an error that is associated with a BES phone.  Basically, it means that the phone belongs to the company of the person and the company that controls the functions of the phone.

What is a personal phone or that of your work?  If one of your employer, show the tech Department article:

  • Missing blackBerry smartphone browser

Device was scrub always upward (hourglass permanently) so I backed everything up and made a follow-up complete cleaning of a reload of the data.  Now, scrub-up problem has disappeared, but my browser disappear (as did my ability to receive emails from one of my email accounts, google maps, epocrates and my ability to delete emails from my email accounts with my phone - but these things I can probably just add or live without), so I can't get online.  Any ideas on how to get it back (preferably without gumming things upwards again if it was at all to blame)?  Thank you!

The browser icon takes you to the interface for device for BIS? It's really really weird... Please check that... see this demo on what would look like the interface BIS and how it should be accessible:

If the icon browser really does that, then something is even worse...

Also, try a restart appropriate batt-pull to refresh the operating system currently running:

    • Whenever random strange behaviors creep, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

If your messaging icons disappeared again after that, then do the first things.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser Hanging up-"BOLD"

Any bookmark, I enter the browser it starts to engage and crashes then and never passes

loading of thoughts.  I am a Rogers customer and have not experienced this before.

I would first do a simple reboot:

With the BlackBerry device powered time, remove battery for a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser doesn't display text of the hyperlink

Title pretty much everything said. It's a new phone (he was less than two weeks), the browser started to work very well, and then two days ago, he began to refuse to display the hyperlinks text in web pages. Same problem with some applications online, like ESPN, so I'm sure it's a problem of Blackberry software. OS v6.0.0.526, AT & T is the provider. Any help would be appreciated.

Remove your battery while your phone is on the replace and then a few seconds later has been known to solve the problems of many, many.  Give it a try!

  • BlackBerry smartphones 'browser problem detected.

I get a message 'Browser issue detected' when I go to expedia.com.  He wants me to activate scripting/javascript.  So I click on the message and it gives me options to choose the right browser: explorer, firefox, safari, etc..  Is the problem with this particular Web site?  I thought that javascript is activated automatically on the BlackBerry...  Don't know what to do here.

Well, the activation of JavaScript on your BB allows the BB browser to interpret and make sites that use it. If it is disabled, then those who can't run and what's planned rendering of the site will come through.

Regarding the "is it advisable"... This is an appeal from the judgment that each individual must make. Personally, I see no harm in them for BB devices. Other OS HH could have more challenges there.

    See you soon!

  • BB my blackBerry smartphone browser has no menu

Basically, since I got my BB in October 2010, the BB browser works very well.
But recently I can't use it properly because its menu disappeared randomly.
I mean, it's, it's that there is this button, you press to display the menu (the button of the BB logo) on BlackBerry. I press on the browser and what makes that now is that it makes my cursor disappear from the screen and it shows no menu of the browser.
Can I use the browser shortcuts (e.g., R to refresh), but there is so much I need to remember and I don't want to do that. All I want is to press the menu button and the menu to appear.
    I rebooted it, nothing happened.
I have another faster browser (BOLT), but you can't watch videos on here.
I use the BB browser to watch videos and also other things.

Is it possible to solve this problem, or is it possible to remove and reinstall the BB browser?

    Thank you.

Have you aircrcrack an app 'snapshot of the screen?
If so, you will need to remove it.
I had this problem with my 8520.

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open and the screen is frozen

I got my flashlight for about a week and it is very buggy. First of all it sometimes hangs when I try to open the browser. Other programs work perfectly once I hit escape a few times, but the browser does not work again until I upgrade or downgrade the OS. I keep having to go down and upgrade that takes forever to get my browser to work. Also the phone goes into sleep mode, even though I have it set to 20 seconds for backlight turns off.  Third problem I have with the phone is they continue to tell the browser how advanced is that it will not always support the Flash even if Blackberry has partnered with Adobe. I regret buying a torch instead of a droid.

Start by doing a battery pull - with the machine on, remove the battery and wait 15 to 30 seconds before reinserting.  Then just wait for the device to reboot.  This should solve at least some of the problems you encounter.

As for Flash, it is supposed to happen, however it is simply not yet available.  I hope that Adobe will have this ready to go shortly.  As for Flash on the Droid, as a heads up, I heard not so positive things here.  Apparently, there are a lot of bugs, and it is far from an ideal configuration.  I hope that Adobe will fix Flash for Android and I hope we'll get a decent work for the BB version before long.

    I hope that info helps!

  • Not active blackBerry Smartphones browser

Well, the title says barely enough. So I'll just paste what I send to Telstra.

    --------

I recently bought a blackberry bold 9000 flea market. He is originally a telstra device (it is covered with logos of Telstra and started there the telstra boot screen). I bought a man in New Zealand, who himself bought the person who has had on your network, in order to find the original owner information are almost impossible.

I went through several mobile operators (including several who are experts of blackberry) and they think that the browser itself is to be routed through and blocked by Telstra. We think that if you could release the blackberry PIN to RIM (research in motion, the manufacturer) that then WHAT NZ Telecom could get it completely and if the browser can open.

I just want to know if the unique blackberry PIN is still connected to your business.

Here's the email I sent on BOARD:

    Hello
Okay, so I recently bought a used blackberry bold 9000, and the browser will not start.

I have the code numbers PIN and IMEI registered to me with the my current provider (telecom new zealand), also as a precautionary measure I updated the OS to my carrier brand version 5.0.0.592 (bundle 1004, platform 5.2.0.57), (this is the latest version my carrier is supported).

I have a blackberry data plan and local telecommunications and support blackberry services are a loss of what is wrong.

It is interesting things to note that when connected to a wireless connection (wi - fi) with internet access, many of the applications can also access the internet. For example, bolt, the free mobile browser, can surf the internet, but only in the range of a wi - fi network. Another thing is that I can successfully send and receive emails via my gmail account, even if not connected to a wi - fi network, calls and SMS work also. I am not connect to any server of the company, the VPN settings are disabled, the APN settings are on direct.telecom.co.nz with whites for the user name and the password. I tried to remove and return the service books several times (each time followed by a 'hard reset'). I tried to wipe the device several times. Option dataservices in the mobile network options menu is turned on, is a reading as correct carrier and is set to the right of the network mode (3G & 2 G).

The browser option, under Advanced options, which is in turn in the menu options, has only a single parameter, "the default browser configuration:" which shows a space empty and does not have the ability to change.
The browser icon not anywhere, apart from the menu "switch application", and this is how I tried to open it so far. I am aware that there should be an icon of browser on the home page or at least in the main menu.

The exact error that says that.

"Your device not currently has any browser Configuration Service entries in the directory.
Contact your service provider to enable the browser on your device. »

As I said earlier, talk to the service desk of the company and to their office to support blackberry cannot find a short solution 'buy a newone', who, as a student, I just can't afford to do. If there is anything you can suggest that I do, I will do it gladly.

TL; DR: Browser does not work, everything else is...

Yes, I was beginning to think that myself.

    However!

Following another completely different thread, I found something on the parameters of the business, thinking that this may be something to destroy my chances, I followed the advice of method three of KB14202, given by er2joe in this thread. After the factory reset (I thought I did), it works!

    THIS MARKET!

... Sorry, after about a month of the ringtone desperately everyone I could think of, check all of the forums for things to do with browsers. And all we needed was for me to post something and fall on each other while you wait for a response.

(I think that the local telecom shop employees all know me now by first name)

    I love you guys.
