  I have recently installed one of these modules and my experience has been that unit has not come with any software installed.  I had to download and install the software/language packs of cisco.com.

• vSphere 4.1 5 upgrade and licensing issues

  I currently have two server PowerEdge 2900. They each have two processors to 4 cores of each and 24 GB of RAM. Each server has a license in advance of vSphere 4 for 2 physical processors (1-12 cores). I also have vCenter 4 Foundation installed and licensed.

  I am looking to buy a new PowerEdge 620 with 2 processors, 8 cores each, and 128 GB of RAM.

  I want to do the following.

  1) upgrade the vCenter 4 to 5 license. Upgrade 2 CPUs with a value of 4 advance to 5 Enterprise vSphere vSphere licenses.

  2) update my installation of vCenter vCenter 4 5.

  (3) install ESXi 5 on new server PowerEdge 620.

  (4) migrate all virtual machines (guests) to a PowerEdge 2900 server to the new server 620.

  (5) Server Decomission the 2900 now blank.

  (6) keep the other server 2900 HA around and the low priority. VMs (I'm undecided as to whether I should upgrade to ESXi 5 on this one).

  Changes to licenses of 4 to 5 seems like a maze, but according to my calculations, 2 processors of licence 4 set to upgrade to 5, should give me enough for 2 CPUs and 128 GB of vRAM on the 620. It's my first time going through an upgrade like this, so I was hoping that someone with more experience could weigh in on this plan. I'm completely missing something, and he will be missed horribly? Any extra info / advice is appreciated.

  Don't worry about this. Only old license on the portal keys will be disabled when you upgrade the key to v5. There is no license on your systems check, which will disable the host or vCenter Server.

  PS: Although there is no verification of the license, it is your responsibility to ensure that the old and the new licenses are not used simultaneously. It would be a violation of the EULA.

  I neet to configure the network of VPIM between unit w/Exchange and 3rd-party voice messaging system and want to familize functionality. That's the analogy between unity and unity express research. I can understand between the unit and Exchange, but do not know how it works between Exchange and the express unit. specually the requirement of the domain.

  Networking VPIM can be used for networking between Unity and Unity Express, just as it can be used for networking with a third-party system, however, each have their own implementation. Unity Express does not connect to the Exchange.   A third-party system would have concepts comparable to the implementation of unity VPIM, but would not exactly be the same - see the documentation of that system for details.

  This may well be true today, but the gap could soon close... otherwise disappear.  Cisco is currently in EFT (field-tested at the beginning) or testing "beta" for the connection of the Unit 8.5 (1), which aims to add features of Unified Messaging Unit connection using WebDav for Exchange 2003 and Exchange Web Services (EWS) for Exchange 2007/2010.  Just a nugget to think when you consider the timing of your client to install and what platform would be best suited to most environments.  Take a look at this blog for more information/thoughts:

  Speech Connect is actually integrated in the application of the CUC.  There really isn't any special rig or something like you would have with speech Connect for the unit. When you choose ' enable voice ' Manager directory or AA and you search by name, which is essentially the engine speech connect to work. "  If the user has a registered name, you will hear him play.  If this isn't the case, YOUSSOUF (AutoAttendant activated by speech) will deliver the names for you.

• Altered in Cisco Unity Connection and cancelled permits NTP server

  I use Cisco Unity Connection 8.6.1 and cancelled my Inbox licenses.  A few days ago I noticed that the timestamp of the voicemails was different from what said our CUCM so immediately, I assume that the NTP servers were different.  I was correct and made the change on our server CUC.  I came back to add another user, a few days later and was motivated that I didn't have enough licenses.  After researching on it after the fact, it seems that this happened because the value of NTP server is one of the values that cannot change with the current license, and I'm in a State of the trial for 30 days (24 days left now).  Now my problem is that I don't remember what would replace this NTP server.  How can I fix this problem?

  the guide is quite difficult to follow as there are has some missing licenses information that can potentially cause downs of service:

  -OUR license is registered on the primary node of PAN only-

  (1) main node of PSN deregistration "D": that it will use the license? the inherited (10000 points of termination) or if he loses the license completely and lock the network authentication?

  (2) when the node "B" will be struck out and will become autonomous what happens to its licence? It will be lost? and what will happen to the "D" node when added to node "B"?

  De-registered node will always use its own license, that is, it becomes autonomous box without knowledge or information about anything around her. Assessment or any license you provided with.

  Please read the documentation of the requirement for Oracle APEX 5. Ensure that your environment meets these requirements. Upgrade your oracle database or other software if necessary components and then you can go right 4.1/4.2 to 5.0 update according to the above-discussed upgrade strategies in the above discussions.

  The UCSE 644-101 and UCSE 642-103 tests identical? The only one who can be booked is the 642-103.

  I have some QS of Boson to 644-101, but they seem to be updated. Some Qs refer to platform for example overlays that are not current support overlays.

  How to update is then the exam 642-103? Should I learn all the old overlays aswell! ?? 101-644-is the newest one? If so why can't I book at the United Kingdom?

  It doesn't seem to be much texts of specific study exam so I use cisco.com, but I should be emptied if I drop brands because I use the info lasted...

I took more of their classes and they do a great job of you prepare UCSE exam. You can take the Live class with an instructor over the Internet or get the "express" version that is on the CD, but still has questions and laboratories.

• Outlook Express does not display photos and I can't click on the links

  Here are the docs for you to configure the Basic for AP switch port configuration IE 2600 s and wlc.

  WLC port must be configured as a trunk.

  Port of the AP must be access.

  CAP2600 series requires software 7.2.110.0 wlc minimum (make sure you have it or above release)

  If you choose the option dhcp 43, it uses the TLV format. Type is always f1, the length is 4 * (wlc number for which you want to provide discovery for, in your case) Value = Hex conversion of the wlc management ip address.
