Cisco Unity Express Configuration 8.6
We have a Router (3945) CME with CUE 8.6 8.6 (ISM-SRE-300-K9 Module). I have a few concerns about the installation and configuration of CUE.
- Cisco ships CUE 8.6 Application preinstalled on ISM-SRE-300-K9 Module?
- What is the initial state of CUE in ISM-SRE-300-K9 Module when he left?
- To restore CUE setting factory and download/install CUE from scratch?
- OR can I directly give the IP interface addresses and go directly to the CUE - GUI?
- As I ordered three languages (Arab Saudi, British and English North American) these language packs are available with in the Module when it was shipped? or do I have to download and install?

I have recently installed one of these modules and my experience has been that unit has not come with any software installed. I had to download and install the software/language packs of cisco.com.

Cisco Unity Express 8.5.1 upgrade and licensing

We use CUE on 2900 router. This is the version 8.5.1. We want to install this version 8.6.11. But I can't be sure I'll need to upgrade license or something like that, at least, I have to do after this upgrade license or it is compatible with the newer version?

Example of configuration, VPIM between the unity and Unity express
I neet to configure the network of VPIM between unit w/Exchange and 3rd-party voice messaging system and want to familize functionality. That's the analogy between unity and unity express research. I can understand between the unit and Exchange, but do not know how it works between Exchange and the express unit. specually the requirement of the domain.
Can I get the sample configuration for configuring VPIM between unit w/Exchange network and the express unit?

Networking VPIM can be used for networking between Unity and Unity Express, just as it can be used for networking with a third-party system, however, each have their own implementation. Unity Express does not connect to the Exchange. I suggest you re-read the chapter ' using VPIM for Networking with Cisco Unity Express or other Cisco Unity Systems "to http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_feature_guide_chapter09186a0080449a39.html and Cisco Unity Express Networking guide at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/sw/voicesw/ps5520/prod_configuration_basics09186a008035bbdb.html.
A third-party system would have concepts comparable to the implementation of unity VPIM, but would not exactly be the same - see the documentation of that system for details.

(1) Welcome to the company, if you know the number of post pls dial, otherwise wait for assistance.
The question is when the customer do not press any option, the guest plays "you're still here" and I need to remove it with the script editor.
I want to know in the script where this option to delete or change this prompt.

Cisco Unity Connection deployment
IM deploy CISCO 1.X for one site unit connection. The partition & call search are created on 4.1 CM. Both phones are added to this partition on the call manager for a local test (telephone2 telephone1 - to-).
On Voice Profile fighter pilot number is 2010 and the DN of departure for the voice port is 3000. I have configured the phone 1 extension (2015) and telephone 2 (2011) on the Cisco Unity connection.
when im 2010 (pilot number) im getting the busy tone or the phones calling each other it keep humming without leaving numbering MWI

What are the numbers that you actually assigned to the ports of voicemail? Have you created a list of hunting that indicates the number of driver? Go to the port of voicemail list and try to call one of the ports directly? Unity connection answers?

Cisco Unity call of managers calling entered invalid entry
I created an Automated Attendant Call Manager that allows callers to dial a (entry of the appellant) extension during the greeting. Key 7 is not locked and expects additional keypress. It works fine if the caller dials the number of correct extension. If the appellant accidentally composed a 7xxx extension that does not exist, they receive the following message in the system of the unit, "I didn't recognize that as a valid entry." "Hello, Cisco Unity messaging system. From a touch-tone phone. "Is it possible to configure the DA call handler to transfer the caller to a call handler I created place of Cisco Unity System Manager? The AA, I created is losing control of the call when it is sent to the system. I would that the AA to hold on to the call to provide it's own 'invalid extension' message appears, then return the appellant to call AA handler greeting. Thank you in advance for your help! -Paul
You don't specify your version of unity, but I guess that a version 4.x of little flavor or another.
This can be easily done by editing the greeting of the error. By default it does not appear in the SA, but you can display it by using the advanced configuration tool to turn it on. By default the error greeting will play this generic invites "I didn't understand...". "and transfer the caller to the opening greeting Manager of appeal. You can set it to wrap on itself instead.
You can also use BulkEdit (found in the tools on your desktop filing) to do that--change the greeting error (still on display in BulkEdit) and in the action dialog box, select "loop back to itself" optional - this way, you can change all the call management and subscribe to the caller of the loop back to the call handler current input not valid.

Hi all, I've read that speech Connect is available for Cisco Unity Connection Version 7.1.3 and later versions. I installed CUC7.1.3 and CUCM 7.1.3 and I would like to configure this feature.

Speech Connect is actually integrated in the application of the CUC. There really isn't any special rig or something like you would have with speech Connect for the unit. When you choose ' enable voice ' Manager directory or AA and you search by name, which is essentially the engine speech connect to work. " If the user has a registered name, you will hear him play. If this isn't the case, YOUSSOUF (AutoAttendant activated by speech) will deliver the names for you.

Altered in Cisco Unity Connection and cancelled permits NTP server
I use Cisco Unity Connection 8.6.1 and cancelled my Inbox licenses. A few days ago I noticed that the timestamp of the voicemails was different from what said our CUCM so immediately, I assume that the NTP servers were different. I was correct and made the change on our server CUC. I came back to add another user, a few days later and was motivated that I didn't have enough licenses. After researching on it after the fact, it seems that this happened because the value of NTP server is one of the values that cannot change with the current license, and I'm in a State of the trial for 30 days (24 days left now). Now my problem is that I don't remember what would replace this NTP server. How can I fix this problem?

Well, 4.x is not real specific - there are 4.0 (1) by 4.0 (4) - many differences between these versions.
That said, there are a few places to start here. The first is the maintenance of unity here guide:
You can move the directories of newspapers to the D drive (in the guide above)-also known as manage the sizes of mailbox for users as well as turning on a circular logging if you do the regular backups of the Exchange database (this can be what is chewing your space).
If Exchange is installed on C (I assume you are because you say 'all' is on C), you can then follow this technical trick to move logs store and transaction of the messages to another drive:
who will save a lot of space on C if logging stuff above is not sufficient.
Finally, you can move the SQL transaction logs and files on the D drive - you will find details on this in the installation guide
My guess, however, will be that if you pass by the maintenance of the unit guide and check your situation of journaling Exchange, which will probably be enough to free up disk space on your system - if you do not circular logging and that you don't make regular backups of Exchange using BackupExec or something in this direction, then in Exchange transaction logs files will become big enough and chew your space. Whatever it is, the procedures here, should you get from A to B freeing space on C.

Cisco Unity Voicemail - view number of messages in specific mailboxes

I am able to see the limit settings, and the size of the mailbox store, but it is for the DB as a whole. Is it possible to display individual mailboxes mailbox of the user and their limits, whether or not they are full and how many messages currently residence in them. Currently, the only way I could check physically needs to call voicemail and enter the password to hear that some mailboxes are full.
Is there a 3rd party tool I woul dneed to find this information?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This may well be true today, but the gap could soon close... otherwise disappear. Cisco is currently in EFT (field-tested at the beginning) or testing "beta" for the connection of the Unit 8.5 (1), which aims to add features of Unified Messaging Unit connection using WebDav for Exchange 2003 and Exchange Web Services (EWS) for Exchange 2007/2010. Just a nugget to think when you consider the timing of your client to install and what platform would be best suited to most environments. Take a look at this blog for more information/thoughts:
