HO, Jimm,.

What I've found now is that this error message generally if you called QuickPlay software installed on the computer that comes with HP computers.

1. you remember to make changes to the computer?

2. who is the manufacturer of the computer?

If this is the case, refer to the thread link which has the similar problem mentioned with the error message right below you get and check to see if that helps.

http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7performance/thread/bac49df5-6CAD-4A37-ad37-d9d1cba82152

Also, try to check whether a third-party software or application is causing this problem. To do this, place the computer in a clean boot state and try to create a restore point.

How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Note: please go through the section: How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting section of Kb to start the computer to a normal startup after you fix the problem.

I hope this helps.

    My question is;
    1. Why is happening
    2. How can I solve this problem (remove the question).

    I have Norton 360 installed on my computer and it was never identified it as a problem.  And as I read the previous answers available on this same issue, I want to clarify that does not occur on the computers of start (the computer starts very well - the answer of 'safe mode' is therefore of no use to me).  This problem occurs whenever I closed my computer.

    Any help you can offer would be most appreciated.

    Thank you for your reply and information.  I have a Compaq (Compaq Presario CQ50-115NR laptop PC).  I also watched my installed programs and I have not installed HP QuickPlay.  I have, however, a program called 'QuickPlay player Swing by Swing Media 0.4.6' and to be honest, I don't know what is this program or if I even used it.

    Please note that I did a long search on Google, Microsoft, Cnet, etc. before I ask my question on this platform.  The challenge is offered responses are not practical and do not offer a solution to my problem.

    Do you have any information/additional support that you could offer that can help me to solve my problem?

    Use MSCONFIG and uncheck anything that is listed under the Startup tab that has to do with QuickPlay.  If it ever starts, there never to dshutdown.  Once you have proven to yourself that it is trhat is the question - uninstall QuickPlay.

    While this may be no surprise to you, your advice (go into MSCONFIG and uncheck HP Quick Play) has been on the spot!  By uncheck HP Quick Play in the MSCONFIG Startup tab it solved the problem (I have no more to see the error no message "CL engine RC 3 model Winidow - this program prevents Windows to stop.")

    The only challenge I am facing now is when I go into the programs folder to uninstall HP Quick Play, although there are some HP programs, there is not a single marked HP Quick Play.

    Once again, thank you for your advice/support!

    You have already found you said, called him «QuickPlay player Swing by Swing Media 0.4.6»  Uninstall it.

  • Problem with Roxio

    Hello
    I have a new Dell (Inspiron 530) with a 64 bit Vista Office.
    It comes preinstalled with Roxio Creator OF.
    When I try to open Roxio Creator, he's trying to register the product with Roxio and then goes to this dummy window that has no conrols on it and no right-click menu. There are four points inside the window and that's it. There is no title or anything.
    The Task Manager shows Roxio_Central36.exe * 32 such as running. In fact, the only way to close this dummy window is to finish this .exe from the Task Manager or shutdown the computer.

    What I'm missing here? I've never used before Roxio, but this does seem like a proper behavior for a program.

    Thank you.

  • My retail Windows 7 DVD update can be installed in a PC dummy?

    Hello, people. Is there anyone who can answer my question?
    I bought a DVD of Windows 7-getting to level at BestBuy earlier. I got it to upgrade my old machine licensed OEM of Vista. Now, I want to install Windows 7 as a new installation on a PC dummy using this DVD (retail version of Windows 7-getting to level DVD) I got from BestBuy after removing my old Vista machine. Then the licence would be valid?

    No because as an upgrade, the computer must have a license valid qualification. The upgrade is transferable, the Vista OEM license is not.

  • How to retrieve messages from the temporary file of windows in the form of text messages

    Hello

    We have used Thunderbird on Windows 7 for almost a year. And we have been very happy with it and had no problems.

    Today, somehow it has taken during the last six weeks of the messages in our Inbox and moved them in the mailbox of Archives in a folder called '2015 '. I don't know how or why it does this.

    More important still, when I opened this file and attempted to transfer the messages to my Inbox, messages simply disappeared. I finally found them under the Windows Temp file.

    I tried to recover these messages in our Inbox, but all attempts have failed. All messages now have a text file extension. My guess is that the file type is not correct now.

    How can I get these messages restored in my Inbox?

    Thank you

    GMS

    After looking for the message objects based on my outgoing messages during the period, I finally found the missing incoming messages. They were in the Inbox of my Eudora import. I must have put there by mistake instead of the Inbox for my main account. Me dummy.

    While I am relieved to have found them, I still don't know how the Archive was created in the first place. But I don't want to give credit to some creative stepping of a cat. More probably, they hit the right keys to make it happen. I suppose a programmer of Thunderbird could know how it happened.

    Thanks to all who tried to help.

  • Satellite Pro P100 - screen and sound problems after upgrade to Windows 7

    Hi all

    I got my Satellite Pro P100 (model number is PSPAEE-00C006EN and the second digit of the serial number is '7') upgraded from Vista to Windows 7, and since then, some bugs seem to have had place - can someone help me on the following:

    -L' screen DIMS increments, irrespective of the fact that I have saved my power settings to stay on FULL (battery or sector)

    -No sound. Once or twice, the sound card worked and settings to say this works correctly (and you can see the movement of the graphic equalizer).
    In terms of PC knowledge, I would be 5/10 (so not a dummy, but certainly not a pro! and we tried a lot of the more obvious things)

    Thank you all

    Hello

    1.) if the screen dim option doesn't properly work, I recommend you to reinstall Toshiba Value added Package. This package controls these functions, the keys FN and others. Visit the Toshiba page for an update!

    2.) did you check if the sound is muted if the equalizer work? In addition you can also try to update the audio driver might it work ;)

  • iTunes for Windows 10

    I use my iTunes account successfully (ie download, sync iPad, iPhone, etc) using Windows vista with update iTunes 12.1.3.6 as this forum says. I recently bought a new computer Windows 10 basic and I want to continue to use iTunes on both computers. My question is when I download iTunes for the current version of Windows 10, that I will be able to connect to my iTunes as usual on the other account or both, computers and download, synchronization, etc., but OE will I need to do something else?

    Migrate a library iTunes from one computer to another

    These are two approaches that work normally to move an existing library to a new computer.

    Method 1

    1. Save the library with this trick of the user.
    2. Remove the old computer if you no longer wish to access content protected on it.
    3. Restore the backup to your new computer by using the same tool used to back it up.
    4. Keep your current backup in the future.

    Method 2

    Connect the two computers on the same network. Share your folder from the old computer and copy the file wholeiTunes library in the folder on the new. Yet once, remove the old computer so is no longer necessary.

    These two methods should give the new computer, a clone of the library work which was on the former. What about iTunes is it is still the 'home' for your devices library you should not have problems with iTunes will erase and reload.

    I recommend method 1 because it establishes a current backup for your library.

    Note If you have iOS devices and that you have not reached your contacts and calendar all in all items, then you need to create a dummy entry in your new profile and iTunes expected to merge existing data from the device.

    If your media folder has been separated in the main folder of iTunes, you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a library of portable split.

    If you are in the unfortunate position where you're able to access your original library or a backup and then seerecover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device to get tips on how to configure your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

  • Windows server 2008 r2 file permissions

    Hi all

    I'm working on a project where I need to dynamically create files. As these files are created dynamically, these are 'owned' by user created. The same user that I can read, write these files.

    But if I try to access these files to other user accounts, these accounts have only read permission on the files created dynamically. But I need the permission write too.

    Suggestions to help achieve this feature is appreciated.

    P.S.:this problem does not occur in windows 7.

    Thanks in advance,

    Prabhakaran.

    I think not-, but it might be possible with the rights administrator and .NET / Windows DLL calls?

    The only thing that might help is if you use a folder as the programdata % (data from the consumer application - C:\ProgramData). It is possible as part of a Setup program to create and 'unlock' (in the construction specifications) a folder here inside (you must also put the file here - I put a dummy file as the configuration file is created by the application) and then I can read/write in it by different users.

  • Import DLL: control to the @dummy @.

    Hello!

    I'm automatically import a DLL with Labview.

    A function has an argument with the following data type:

    typedef struct CHILLER_CONTROLLER_state_tag
    {
        SYSTEMTIME      TimeStamp;
        unsigned char   ChillerState;
        double          ChillerWaterSetPoint;
        double          ChillerWaterTemperature;
        double          ChillerExhaustTemperature;
        double          ChillerFlow;
        double          ChillerPressure;
    } CHILLER_CONTROLLER_state;

    LabVIEW is reflected in the structure of the following cluster:

    Dummy controls come

    LabVIEW on Windows 32-bit platforms "packs of byte" given in clusters. This means that it aligns data on byte boundaries. Visual C and many other C compilers align the data in a structure (a synonym of a cluster of LabVIEW) to configurable data size. The alignment of data by default is 8 bytes, and data in a structure elements are aligned on the smallest alignment by default or its own size of the element.

    This means that your double is aligned to a multiple of 8 bytes for a double has a size of 8 bytes.

    However! A library developer is free to add explicit #pragma pack() instructions in the header file to cause a different default alignment (which they would then honor the import library Wizard) or... sigh... specify a different alignment in default project settings for its library (the library import wizard is not possible to know).

    Fortunately, most C programmers don't know even how to change alignment of project default settings, so if there is no #pragma pack() set out in statements of header this is a pretty safe, though not a very safe assumption, use 8-bit default alignment.

  • Windows XP and the new phone

    Hello world

    MY first post here and hopefully help please.

    My knowledge is very limited, so I'll say just this as clear as possible.

    I have a PC at home that works under Windows XP. I like to use a PC rather than a laptop, I like the size of the screen and the keyboard. I want to buy a new mobile phone to take better photos and download them on your PC. I was told that a new mobile phone will be probably windows 7/8 or 10 and my PC will not be able to download anything, even if an android phone would work?

    He also referred to for me to buy a new mobile phone and a new laptop. Connect the new laptop to the PC, so I run a new version of windows and then transfer the photos.

    I'm so confused! I just want to take decent pictures and download them.

    Help, please!

    Thank you

    Hi Linda again...

    It is good that you have protection, but XP weaknesses are the lack of continued support from Ms - it's a bit like the other programs are fighting a rearguard action after the leader has fled! This can be interesting even if I apologize for the title - their not mine!

    http://UK.PCMag.com/Windows-10-preview-release-date-news-features/69602/news/still-using-Windows-XP-stop-it-dummy

    I don't want to feel you uncomfortable about the use of XP, but it is better to know the potential problems.

    Good luck with the shopping spree... in addition to the card (and a micro card adapter), will need you a usb card reader which is a device that plug into your usb port and allow an SD card to be read. That's if there is no card slot on the XP (which is probably the case).

    Best regards, Ric.

  • Problems with Acer Aspire VN7 - 591G. Not enough memory to update to windows 10

    Hi, I have trouble upgrading to Windows 10. End of 2015 Aspire VN7 591G.

    My C drive seems to be complete, but I only have Windows 8.1 saved in this folder. Try to upgrade to Windows 10 hours (connection terrible broadband) before finally quitting and the message "not enough space on the destination drive. I am totally confused and frustrated - C drive has only 8.33 GB free of 44.7 GB. I have just installed Windows 8.1, I deleted all the bloatware and other programs/applications irrational yet it seems fair to decrease on a daily basis. I already had to do a clean install, as drive C became complete.

    All the solutions in terms of 'dummy' simple? Thank you

    First of all, do not forget to create recovery media, then you can always go back to stock windows OS installation.

    http://Acer--UK.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/A_ID/26286/~/create-a-Acer-factory-default-backup-in...

    Since you have a slow connection, I suggest that allows you to create a bootable media using download from microsoft also, so you don't need to download windows 10 update each time.

    read here:

    http://community.Acer.com/T5/knowledge-base/Windows-10-installation-recovery-media-creation-and-use/...

    a 8 GB USB flash drive is necessary

    I suggest you do a cleaning of the HARD drive too, probably, you have files of windows upgrade spare failed 10:

    Windows logo key
    type
    Disk Cleanup
    Click Disk Cleanup
    Click on clean up system files
    Let scanner
    then check the files you want to delete, it is safe to do so
    in the end, press ok and let it wipe the HARD drive for you

    After disk cleanup, check to see if the 10 windows temporary folders are still there:

    I have a 32-bit personal ThinkPad that I've upgraded to windows 7 and the deskjet installed correctly by using the windows update connection.

    How can I get the correct direct drivers so that I can thumbdrive load into my corporate ThinkPad?

    There are two possibilities:

    1. Go to start, devices and printers, add printer, seleect some dummy port as LPT1:, and when the list of printers, click Windows Update in the lower right.  (This is different from the normal Windows Update and may be feasible).  The list will take several minutes to update, after that, you can cancel the installation and then simply plug the USB cable to the Deskjet 895 and the pritner would install automatically.
    2. If the foregoing is blocked from another computer then visit the Microsoft Update Catalog site using IE (no other browsers not supported).  Search for Deskjet 895cse and the driver for Windows 7 64-bit is the file which is 11.6 Mb in size.
