  Is not possible out of the box with the functionality of pre-test now available. In previous versions, I used question slides custom for this questions that I created using standard objects, where the score has not added to the total of the Quiz but stored in a user variable. But you have no question randomly either, so no possible. Don't see a workaround solution, unless you do not have to report to an LMS. Any questions at random, you have to use the normal question slides. It is possible to keep the score of the 'test' in a separate user variable, making decisions as branching based on this variable, create a slide of score as well for the pre-test and test but what a statement to an LMS that all quiz slides will be considered part of a Quiz and the score will be the total of all the slides in quiz score.

  Hi all

  I'm going to take the exam of the VCP310 in slightly more than two weeks, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on the 3rd party study the material.  I've already got a TestKing guide and practice exam, and I'm about 3/4 of the way there.  Every so often, questions and explanations will refer to a document found on the VMware Web site, and I took care to re-read these materials as well.  The problem I have, is that I feel like I'm memorizing questions and answers, rather than learn the material.  Of course, some little memorization isn't bad, but I think I want to complete my study with other materials.

  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Comments?

  I have still the book that came with my class of VMware, as well as the book of laboratory and a test environment.  Is there something in the text book to pay particular attention to?  I also printed and looked over the blue review copy, but guide the TestKing study I have seems to follow the blue print quite well.

  I guess what I'm asking is: do you not think that I am a student of will be enough to pass the exam?

  I want to know what questions the learner is cheated on a test of Captivate.  We have 20 people in each group and need to go through their answers very quickly so quiz review isn't enough.  I expected more for the list.

  Normally, this type of reporting is what doesn't have an LMS, Captivate.  However, I must say that most of the LMS are not likely to give you that kind of granularity in the reports.  They are usually more focused on overall pass/fail reports or notes at the end.

• question on the granting of select for a test user

  I have a question, lets say
  
  (1) I create a test user and it connects to my database ORCL
  (a) create test user identified by the test (using the user sys)
  (b) I grant it the create session test user privilege (using the user sys)
  
  (2) now, I want the sys user to grant select on table of hr.countries for the TEST user
  
  Question: everything first is it possible? If yes how?

• Question slide insert problem in Captivate 9 Responsive Design project

  I'm trying to insert a question after a slide in the project but Captivate keeps placing below the new issue with a pile of other issues in the project. When she did this, I can't move the slide to the post I want to in class stream nor can I move any other current slide. What should I try?

  That's what I did: I deleted the cache. I tried the previous iterations of the project without result. A conditional question: I am not connected to the internet on this computer. which would affect the behavior of classes?

  I don't know if there is any problem with how to set quiz preferences but I don't know that I have not had any problems with the insertion of slides where I wanted them earlier in the development of the project.

  The usual reason for this behavior is that you try to insert a quiz with Questions before the test.  Questions before the test can be placed at the beginning of a lesson BEFORE all other issues for the main quiz quiz.

  I have 2 sets of learners who will be tested on a content different slighty in the same course of Captivate. How can I restrict the set of users to a set of questions?

  What Captivate version are you on?

  Are your users aware to what group they belong?

  If it is 6 +, then rather than using two Question pool. You can create a Question of pre-test, ask questions about their GroupName (say A or B)

  And A choice you can create a branch to a set question and B, you can lead to another. (Select make-'branch to the current' Quiz - preferences settings-)

  You may need to refine it. But it would then depend on doing what the user chooses and the dynamically the course will line up for their group of Question.

• Display Rotation error

  I had a problem with the rotation of the screen under macOS Sierra function. As the screen rotates, there is an error that pop up and later that I'm unable to get into system-> Display Preferences. It is for me a "mistake preferably: County not load display preferences" message and I was unable to rotate the screen back. I started from the system in safe mode and temporarily solved the problem. But if I want to rotate the screen again, it pops up the same error again. I was using the rotation function pretty well in OS X El Capitan. But since I updated to macOS Sierra, I had this problem.

  I wanted to know if there is a lasting solution to this problem.

  I'm using macOS Sierra on MacBook (13-inch, early 2015) Air with processor 1.6 Ghz Intel Core i5 and 8 GB memory DDR3 at 1600 MHz with 128 GB of storage.

  Great job to test mode without failure. In Safe Mode disables most of the third-party services, it could be a compatibility problem with an application that you have. Check out this article:

  You can not hold account that the title suggests it's to El Capitan. It applies to macOS Sierra as well.

  You can also test the issue in a new user account.

I'm a little unclear on the exact nature of the issue you describe (how many times it happens, if there is some kind of trigger, etc.), but if the freezing of the whole system seems to be linked to Safari, you can try to reproduce the problem under a test user to see if it happens again.   I see your message that your PDF document is not correctly displayed in the preview for macOS Sierra. I'll be happy to help.

  As you notice this with several pdf files and these files seem to be display correctly in another app, looks like you have isolated this problem with preview more precisely. First, open preview and choose Exit in the application menu in the menu bar, or press command-Q to close the application. When you re - open preview, hold down the SHIFT key on your keyboard while you open the program. This will temporarily prevent the application to reopen his documents and its windows. A test to see if you still notice the same problem after you perform this step. If you haven't already done so, try to restart your Mac to see if the problem persists as well.

  If the problem persists after trying the above steps, I would like for you to start in safe mode and test for the problem there. Take a look at the following resources for more information on this process:

• Since the update, adding a file (to send or download) takes forever?

  What happened since I did the last OS update last week. When you go to download a file (or files) as an email, or on an online site to upload photos (IE. Facebook, dropbox etc...) It's the wheel that turns and cannot use Safari, probably for about 45 seconds. Then, you can select, but it seems slow and can stall.

I love being able to share my photos with friends and family, so I can understand how this can be a little annoying. I'm happy to offer assistance.

  First of all, I recommend try closing all your open applications, and then test again.

  You can also consult the activity monitor, to see if something is to use more resources as it should be when you try to download your photos.
  Use the monitor activity on your Mac.

  If you're still having trouble, you can also try to start in safe mode and test the issue to a test user. Safe mode disables some third party applications and deletes some caches. A test user will help you determine if this problem happens in your specific user account or if it's the case across all users. You will find for these two articles below:

• Crash of mail.app in Sierra

  I am running the latest version of MacOS Sierra 10.12 (A 16, 323) on a MBP end 2013 with i7 2.6 gig that has 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

  I have a repeated, intermittent crash in Apple Mail. It happens several times a day. The crash does not appear to be linked to a specific action, I take - send/receive, etc. It just seems to happen. This problem started to happen until I updated to 10.12. The crash does not appear to affect any other program, including Outlook, when I used to solve problems. I use Outlook for my email instead of Mail, but I don't like the program, to be honest, if I prefer to use Mail.

  Back up your Mac if you have not already done so. Read https://www.apple.com/support/backup/to learn how to do this please. To learn how to use Time Machine read to use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

  Then, shut down your Mac and restart in 'Safe Mode '. To learn how to do it please read: try safe mode if your Mac does not start-up. Compare works your Mac in Mode for how safe it was.

• Calendar is the name of the month showing

  This is a new, just started my laptop this morning and the menu bar showed M10 5 sea, which is also how it looks in the calendar. All other months are the same (M01, M02, etc.).

  Tried resetting the PRAM, but can't see any prefs calendar that I needed trash as the only one is the synchronization agent.

  Anyway to get my laptop to remember what it October again? Do not know if it is connected but it also completely forgotten that I have my trackpad tap to click and three fingers to drag, and I put DND in Notifications.

  Looks like you're some problems with your Mac, specifying the digital number for the month, instead of the names of the months themselves. Also, you have some problems with the trackpad preferences and do not disturb for notifications. I can see how you would like to get this all resolved. We'll see what we can do.

  I would like to first of all, you have set the trackpad preferences and do not disturb the notifications as you want, then start up the Mac in safe mode.

  Once you're in safe mode, please try to see if the names of the months are returned and that the trackpad still works as expected. If the names of the months back, please restart the Mac and open the calendar application and then check to make sure that the problem is solved.
