Class not registered error
How to solve the problem of unregistered class. I am not able to move to a single file or folder of the download folder. always shows unregistered class message. Please help me.
Hi Nilesh,
We need after the details so that we can better help you.
(1) what is the version of the Windows operating system installed on your computer?
(2) you are able to move files to or from any other place?
(3) don't you make changes to your computer before this problem?
Try to start your computer to the clean boot state where all Non Microsoft applications will be disabled to check if this problem is due to any third party application. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: Please refer to the section: How to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting section of Kb to start the computer to a normal startup after you fix the problem.

whenever I tried to run the game it displays class not registered error
You said launch, so this may not apply, but apparently, it happens to some people when
install the game and the fix is not not to use the Autorun feature during installation.
Go to start-computer and Open the disc. Then run setup.exe from there.I don't remember having this problem with COD2. It can only happen if you install to the default location

The game runs without problems on Win7 with no compatibility required setting. -

Class not registered when connecting to the Express Edition
On my laptop I was able to install the 11.2.0.2.1 XE and Developer SQL 4.0.1.TNSNAMES. ORA is properly configured, the SQLPlus and SQL Developer therefore have access to the database, I can create tablespaces, users, tables, etc. SQLDeveloper connects using the TNSNAMES file. ORA.
XE =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = PORTLEKU)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = XE)
)
)FITTING_SERVICE =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = PORTLEKU)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = XE)
)
)However, when I run my application program, "Fitting.EXE", it gives me a 'Class not registered' error message when I run Connection.DoConnect.
The connection string is configured to connect through OLE DB, use Fitting_Service as data source. This is known to work, such that the program works correctly on my desktop PC that is running Oracle 10 g with OLE DB and is used to compile and link the executable file (the laptop has no software development).
My first thoughts on this problem are:
(1) I need ODAC on the laptop. But that creates a new home of the Oracle, is not? So if I set up the TNSNAMES file. ORA in this new folder tree, how it can reach the server database on the same PC, a server that already has a listener configured and known to work as SQLDeveloper can see the database. There is already a TNSNAMES file. ORA files in the tree of files server and properly configured. If I install a new listener, don't he substitute somehow the existing one, may break the connection that uses SQLDeveloper?
(2) the program Fitting.EXE has been linked on a system with 10 g and the corresponding OLE DB software. Perhaps it is impossible to connect to an 11g database, either by an OLE DB 11g if I install it to ODAC 11.2.0.2.1? I have not yet tried ODAC installation because I was afraid to disturb something that works - see already 1) above.
As you can probably guess, I'm a little lost on this and need someone to point me in the right direction instead of groping in the dark.

Success, finally!
Take your index on copying tnsnames alias in the client tnsnames file, I installed ODAC112021 and did just that. It works amazingly!
Problem solved. Thank you.

Service of autoconfiguration WLAN error 0 x 80040154: class not registered
My laptop running Vista Home Premium SP2 will not display networks wireless scope. The WLAN auto configuration service not started and an attempt to start manually returns the error "0 x 80040154: class not registered." There has been no recent software installations, he simply stopped overnight for no apparent reason. I searched the Internet and found many cases of this problem but no solutions that work.
Hello
Option 1: You can try to run the System File Checker, it will analyze the system-protected files and replace the incorrect versions with correct versions of the files Microsoft.
Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click all programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
Type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
Option 2: The issue can also be caused by your security program as an antivirus or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting settings as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you disable temporary antivirus and firewalls and recheck the result.
Enable or disable Windows Firewall
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
You must enable security programs new that had disabled you
Option 3: I suggest you to check the boot issue and check.

Note: Please follow step No 7 from the link above to put the computer don't return to normal startup.

Chrome error: "class not registered".
I changed my default browser Chrome to IE then back to Chrome and since then have been do this error "class not registered". I have uninstalled/installed and the same error persists. Any help is very appreciated. Thank you!
Unfortunately, Keith suggestion has not worked for me either.
What ended up working for me are the following steps:
1 hit CTRL + R and type "misconfig".
2. on the Startup tab, click on "Open the Task Manager.
3. When this window is open, right click on Google Chrome
4. click on Properties, then open the compatibility tab
5. press on "run the resolution of compatibility issues.
From this point, Windows should resume, searching for issues. It should detect and difficulty and go directly to the application allows you to test whether the program works.
After that I did it, it worked for me. If all goes well, it does the same thing for you!

Always 'class not registered' is the answer to why MovieMaker cannot import as many files. I finally realized that if I have all the "Windows"associated files with QuickTime (which I do often because QuickTime Pro has been my editor that works, but I wish you MovieMaker to work because he has a different user interface that doesn't have a QuickTime Pro and it also looks like a very good program)
Well of course MovieMaker will say that he has not "registered class. But then I associate any Windows, and I use Windows Media Player on Windows media files (it is a ball game all nother as to why PhotoStory3 will not identify ANYTHING either import in Windows Media Player and its unbearable playlists because (sorry but really... Windows how much a control freak should we be?)) Windows Media Player is a great product but the playlists and psycho how they are and how they control much else if you don't have them good... I want to say that I classify even not my media as Playlists insist! He drives me crazy that they will sort not even by directory! OK OK... Sorry... but these are really statements and probably a reason why people eventually switch to Mac. Windows Media Player wants to control how PhotoStory3 works and opens to your media... he wants to sort that you want to associate with it in a way that is so incredibly frustrating and it moves all the time, so that you don't know what's left in an archive it seems always continually come up with... UGH)
Yes, back to Movie Maker. Sorry... but it turns out that Movie Maker also does not seem to recognize any "class" of files that it needs to import easily. My WMV files and *.wma and.. *.avi. but he says: "class not registered". And believe me, that I am registered in each file that appears to be a DLL "library", which I guess MovieMaker can make reference. I'm out of my element when it comes to talk about these 'libraries' and controls, but I signed repeatedly 5 main DLLs in Movie Maker as well as the outside System32 DLL which seem to have an impact on it.
I have trouble while registering the 3 final files into MovieMaker that all look the same. I keep holding out that maybe this will be the trick to get MovieMaker to work. At LEAST for the mounting clip player to operate. Does anyone know where this video player is native of...... It is also associated with Windows Media Player. And as I'm probably suspect... what I find the most space on my computer or go buy more memory (there is no place to install more unless I probably get a new computer) to get this video player to work.
So the *.dlls 3 in MovieMaker can't register are:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe C:\Program Movie Maker\wmm2eres.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe C:\Program Movie Maker\wmm2res2.dll
C:\Program Movie Maker\wmm2res.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exeAND that's just ONE of the many ways that I tried to save them. But they come with a 'success'
And finally the codecs associated with MovieMaker. I even went into this program identification codec under DirectX diagnosis... "Softella Filter Manager" or something like that... and I poured through it and find all instances of the MovieMaker filter DLL and I have reUpped its relevance in each case his link with some codec. I don't know exactly what I'm saying here but in the list of codecs and filters... so many things related or listed with the MovieMaker wmm2filt.dll - they were designated never "use". And I clicked on them which has arisen again. All that that means I don't know but I thought she would at least give feedback in the program and tell him... It is used.
Sorry for my long rant. I obviously do not include programming that much, but I tour and research about and I was out with these two programs (Windows MovieMaker 2.1 and 3.1 PhotoStory) for a month or more... trying to make them work.
Any tips would be appreciated if you bother to do so through my rants.

error message "class not registered" of Explorer.exe.
When I click on the Start button and then on the shortcuts "Panel configuration, computer, documents, etc", I get an errot message Explorer.EXE that says 'class not registered '. Can someone tell me how to solve this problem? I'm not sure but I think the problem may have started after a few updates have been installed last week. I use Windows Vista if that helps. Thank you
Hello
Make sure that all instances of Windows Explorer are closed.
Go to start programs/accessories, right click on the "command line" and select the option 'run as administrator '.
In the command prompt window, type the following command exactly as indicated.
regsvr32 ExplorerFrame.dll
Press ENTER.
You should see a message of 'successful '. Close the command prompt.
Restart the computer and try to open these components.
If this does not resolve the problem, I suggest you use system restore to go back to a point before the problem first occurred.

Class not registered (0 x 80040154)
I'm doing a backup of the system. and I get the following error message:
The backup application could not start due to an internal error: class not registered (0 x 80040154)
Please check the configuration of your system and try again.I use Windows Vista Business Service Pack 1.
I can fill a "backup files" without any error message.
I have only this message when I try to fill a "backup system".What is corrupting this application, it's not worth it for me to re - install Windows Vista Business. I don't have the recovery CD provided with my laptop. These do not include a CD that allows me to do a "repair installation".
So I'm giving up Windows computer backup. I backed up my system with another program and delete the last Image Windows System.
The new backup works fine.

I left the room for about 20 min then when I came back I got this error
QPService.exe - Unable to locate component
This Application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix the problem. Then I restarted and had the same problem. If I click 'OK' and then I get "Quickplay Resident Program has stopped working," then the error box changes the same thing but for avast and when I click on it I get "avast!" Antivirus has stopped working. "Click again and"GrooveMonitor utility has stopped working ". That's about 10 programs until next stop errors.
The Explorer is also not work, my computer, folders, windows update, and many many other programs won't open. Whatever this either in the Explorer tells me 'class not registered '.
What I tried:
- System restore - but it says that I have no restore points. I used to have dozens, I did a lot of myself, and I don't know where they went
- I tried to download Normaliz.dll, but when I tried to extract it to System32 (following the instructions I found on the web) he's not here, he gets another error. So I put it on the desktop but then realized that I can't move it anywhere because I can't pull the top of my work or the Explorer. I also tried to go into the Task Manager and do 'New task', but if I type anything this either in or click on 'Browse' then I get the same error on Normaliz.dll and then Manager tasks becomes inadmissible and accidents.
- I tried to go into safe mode and Explorer still does not work, "New task" in the Manager tasks still does not work and I still do not have restore points
- I tried a few other recovery tools before start and none of them has contributed to
A lot of what I've tried has been recommended by other people when I did some research on google, but most people seem to have this problem because of IE, but I don't use IE and haven't for months. Also solutions that seem to work for them have not worked for me. I can't understand what caused it because I have not downloaded anything recently and it just happened when I left the computer and came back later.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't really want to destroy everything and reload windows.
This looks like a general Windows failure since all kinds of independent programs stopped working. I would like to begin the troubleshooting process by testing your hardware from the hard drive and RAM. The machine can also be overheating. You can do it yourself or take the machine to a local professional reputable (not a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place).

HFM API - class not registered in the journal when you connect from another machine
Hello
I'm working on the HFM API, and I'm facing a problem that occurs only when I've run them from a machine that is not one on which is installed the HFM.
What happens is that when I try to connect from a client machine (on which are installed the HFM customers) I get an error (which I can check on the HFMErrorLogViewer) indicating
"Class not registered".
The error is displayed in the error XML string some details, and I see in this xml code that the customer name calling HFM made its appearance in the Svr Field (which I assume is an acronym for 'server').
I set up the connection using the method on an instance of the SetLogonInfoSSO called HsxClient and I opened the application using the OpenApplication method, which I am passing the name of the server as a parameter also. The connection works (ie: the object is not a null instance), but then I get this error 'Class' unregistered, on the CHsvcDataLoad.cpp of file on the server.
Any suggestion is well accepted.
Thank you

Hi, thank you all for the advice.
The problem was that simply VB6 was not properly load the dll, I added, removing and adding them once again did the trick (happy to ignore the reasons too long as it works now).
The problem, reported on the server was in fact, as says Chandra Bhojan-Oracle: a customer a, caused by wrong loading of the DLL.
Thank you
