Clean install-Win7 not updated?

Just received MS cert refurbished Lenovo 530 -.

First run Windows update, just w / 'Check updates' and expires after an hour or two with the error A 8024, 006.

Tried to rename \Windows\SoftwareDistribution by Google search - no change.

At this point, it's easier to reinstall from the recovery partition to test many possibilities absent a solution likely - unless for some strange reason, I encounter the same problem.

That's why I'm here.

You suggest...?

Mark

After about 4 up to that suggested by the forum of Win 7 I was finally able to get the update to work.

  • Clean install after software update

    Hello

I read somewhere that it is better to factory reset a device prior to a software update. But idk how to do as after the update is downloaded just install through recovery. There is no option to clear data and factory reset before installing the software update

Also, if I do a factory reset before installing the software update will be I lose the downloaded file? If Yes can I get upgrade the software again after the reset?

Yes, your downloaded update file will also be deleted. But after reset, you can download the file again, or if you have rooted you can copy the zip file of the directory cache update and update of recovery using application updated map SD option.

  • Installed Apps not updated in the App Store

Updating macOS version 10.12 on MacBook Pro retina Sierra updates (end 2013) available in the App Store. When you try to update, receive the message "Apple Media Services terms and Conditions have changed. " ... To continue, you must read and agree to the new terms. I accept conditions and access updates. When you click on the app for the update, the same message again. Through accepting the terms and Conditions again and repeat the same cycle over and over again. May not know what is the problem?

Start Safe Mode removes the system caches that can help.

Follow these steps to start in safe mode.

    1. Start or restart your Mac.
    2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
    3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.

    Then try to update applications.

Had to do a restoration complete my xp machine and will not update, in the past, system automatically updated with cartridges of siema etc service?

What is happening, it is that it is so more the possibility of a user friendly hands on automatic update of Windows XP from a clean install.  Windows Update will NOT synchronize with and updated in the current order status to update a machine with a clean install of XP, but you separately download some patches and intermediate updates and apply them manually, to have a machine that connects a bit normally with Windows Update.

Install the last update cumulative security for the version of Internet Explorer you have currently is essential, and you need to download separately and install it before going any further.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2888505

Scroll to the information file for XP and Server 2003

Download the file corresponding to your version of Internet Explorer and install first.

It is also highly recommended that you install Firefox because IE8 is limited, probably compromised and sometimes useless and will crash on many sites, including Microsoft sites, including linked just above.

  • can not update xp or IE after system recovery

I did a system restore on my computer XP 32 bit. I have not checked to see if he had 1 SP installed, but I had a disc for SP 2 and manually installed SP 3.
I can't install WIndows updates, due to the fact that I need of IE 7 or higher. IE 7 won't install because I guess he needs updates of some sort? How can I solve this problem?

I tried to install Service Pack 1, but it wouldn't work because I installed SP 3.

    4. after recovery, your office is always show files that were there before the recovery?

Describe the very next step you take after you have completed the recovery. The files are still there, but some are missing such as 2007 Microsoft Office and other programs, but my documents are still there

This means that is non-destructive recovery of Compaq and have without doubt both times. I would say that a re - install destructive is in order and follow my previous instructions that were for a clean install. Note that this will destroy the data so if your data is important you must save it first, ideally twice in two separate devices. If you are worried about data loss, I suggest putting in the hands of a professional, but do not expect to take any responsibility for your data. If someone is able, they may not cover all the possibilities (e.g., disk failure) and we your data must be your responsibility.

In the light of your PC is one that may require the patch from HP/Compaq AMD I have revised my instructions for you below...

Print what you want from this Web site that you can access on the PC hit after the new installation. After the installation you're using IE6 that this site does not work with!

Get these downloads (click the link) and have them on a CD or a USB key (ignore warnings from Microsoft gives you need to be an IT pro or using Windows updates in place)

SP2 (only if your recovery is a "no service pack at all" XP or is a Media Center XP)

SP3 (only if your recovery is pre - SP3)

AMD patch (only if your recovery is pre - SP3)

IE8 (do not leave Microsoft direct you to a later version, IE8 is as good as it gets for XP)

Make sure you have your antivirus solutions and handy greater security as (CD/download).

    • Back up your data
    • Disconnect from the internet (remove the cable Ethernet or a wireless device?)
    • Disconnect all devices except the screen, keyboard and mouse.
    • Make the new facility (the driver installation should not be necessary for a resumption of Compaq)
    • Remove Norton (use the deletion tool that rocks of XP has suggested)
    • Install SP2 (only if there is no service pack at all after the recovery, or it is XP Media Center)
    • Install the patch from HP/Compaq AMD (if recovery is pre - SP3)
    • Install SP3 (if recovery is pre - SP3)
    • Install IE8
    • Install antivirus/security
    • To connect to the internet
    • Update antivirus/security
    • Windows Update
    • Install remaining desired hardware/software
    • Restore your data

Do not use Windows updates or driver "detectives" update/install drivers.

Do not try to use Windows Update, until SP3 is installed.

Do not install IE8 or any other software as long as you are at SP3.

Make sure to use restore points in case something goes 'shaped pear.

  • Laptop delivered x 64 Vista, but x 86 installed Win7 - install 64-bit drivers or 32-bit?

My Presario F572US delivered as a 64-bit with Windows Vista installed.  I upgraded the RAM to 2 GB and installed Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.

If I understand correctly, install the 32-bit operating system on the computer portable 64-bit is OK, but should the drivers I have installed (Win7 compatible, updates, new devices or software, etc.), when a choice must be made, be 64 bit or 32 bit versions?

    Hello:

You must install drivers 32 bits on 32-bit and 64-bit drivers on a 64 bit OS.

64-bit drivers won't go even after the initial pilot run line on a 32-bit system, so you cannot install them even if you wanted to.

IMO, you have made a wise decision, installation of an OS 32-bit on a PC with only 2 GB of memory.

A 64 bit OS requires more memory space and the drive to run a 32 bit OS. Not double, but more.

I would never install an OS 64-bit on any PC with less than 4 GB of memory.

  • Clean install from the recovery partition

I had a lot of problems with Vista.  In a different thread, it was recommended that I have do a CLEAN install, but not from the disc, but rather from the recovery partition.  I have a Dell Studio XPS 435mt.  I see the possibility to do a factory reset, but I don't know how to do the clean install from the recovery partition.
