Clean the $COMMON_TOP/temp on the R12.1.3 instance

Hello

I found a number of .pla, .dt, .KH and .tmp files in $COMMON_TOP/temp back to 2011 and using 11 + GB of the disk. I have seen discussions about whether these can be cleaned in 11i, but don't have not seen what about R12 and nothing that mentions .dt or .pla, files so want to be certain that they are not useful before I remove them:

Please can someone confirm that these can be cleaned?

In addition, they all look to be associated with the OPE - is there a way to stop these generated files? I read that I can put the profile "File Server: delete temporary files" to "Yes" - this would ensure they are cleaned after use?

Thanks in advance,

Robin

You can delete these files - we recommend that you stop the application services before doing so.

The "File Server: Delete Temporary Files" has been available in EBS 11.0.x and isn't is no longer available in later versions - https://docs.oracle.com/cd/A60725_05/html/comnls/us/fnd/revreq03.htm

You can set "RRA: Delete Temporary Files" option option profile, please see the (more common Solutions to the FRM-41839 and .tmp files not being deleted (Doc ID 435437.1)) for more details.

Thank you

How clean the dust that could have stood up in the fan zone?

When I had a PC, it's simple, open the case and use a compressed air to blow off the dust, but on this model, it does not have this option.  I found nothing on the maintenance of this device.

  • Problem with the HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer: clean the print heads each time it is turned on

    Hello everyone,

the printer HP all-in-one Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a - product n. CB022A) clean the print heads whenever I turn it on. This problem affects any HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer, it is not a problem only of this one I bought. It is a boring bug and annoying because each power clean print heads on involves two bad disadvantages:

    1. waste of ink (each heads cleaning process consumes little ink);
    2. too much time (2-3 minutes) to prepare the printer after plugging.

I upgraded my printer with the latest firmware available on the HP site (firmware ver. DLM1FN1006BR), but the bug is still present.

    At this point, I ask:

    1. There is a way (or procedure) to disable automatic cleaning this useless to all power on?
    2. Can we communicate with the HP engineers or tell me how to contact directly one of them to indicate the bug and request a new firmware updated?

Please don't tell me to leave the printer on all the time or that the printheads to each cleaning power is normal behavior! Where then are power and ink savings claimed for this printer model?

I hope that a solution to this problem. Thanks in advance to everyone will help me!

Maintenance when the printer is turned on is normal and is required to keep the printheads in good health (not blocked). See here for more information.

With respect to energy savings, the printer automatically goes to low power mode when the don't feel not for awhile.  It is not necessary turn the unit on to save energy.

  • My Apple Watch will not charge on the charger.  I cleaned the back of the watch and the charger.  Any ideas?

My Apple Watch will not charge on the charger.  I tried to clean the back of the watch and the charger more used several points of sale, but in vain.  Any ideas?

    Hello

When you reload your watch, check that:

    • All the plastic film was removed from both ends and both sides of the cable support (consult closely on the head of the charger).

    • On the back of your watch and the head of the charge cable are clean and dry (clean with an abrasive, lint cloth).
    • The head of the load is properly aligned with the back of the watch, with the concave side / curve touch fully:
      • Some docks of watch, brackets, cases or protectors might hinder it.
    • You use a real Apple magnetic Charging Cable or a certified Apple module magnetic charge.
    • If you reload your watch by plugging into a power outlet:
      • Check that the magnetic charge cable Apple USB connector is fully engaged in the USB power adapter.
      • Try to use different maps of the following:
        • The real Apple USB Power Adapter that came with the watch, or;
        • A true 5W Apple (iPhone) or 12W (iPad) USB power adapter, or;
        • A third-party certified 5W (MFi) Apple USB power adapter.
      • Try to charge via a USB port (see following).
    • If loading via a USB port on a computer, make sure that you use a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port, the computer remains turned on and awake, and the cable is plugged directly into the computer (not on, for example, an external keyboard).
    • If your battery is very low, you may need to wait a few minutes for the green lightning appear (confirming that the charge has started).

Once the load has started, you can tap on the screen at any time to check the progress (leave a few minutes at the beginning, where the watch is in charge of a very low battery level). A green lightning bolt symbol indicates that your watch is being loaded. It is normal the screen back to sleep while continuous load.

  • How to clean the C855-1UA Satellite and remove dust?

    Hi to everyone.

I want to open my toshiba satellite c855 1ua, because I think the fan is very very dirty.

I have not found a tutorial how to open this same model, so I was wondering if I need to remove the hard disk too to 'remove' the bottom plate and fan access.

I don't have the Torx screwdriver to remove it, so I have to remove or is optional can I remove the plate without it.
Or there is another simple way to access and clean the fan?

I know that use compressed air bottle is not the way to probler, but it would be simpler.

    Concerning

    Hello

I would not recommend you to disassemble the laptop just to clean the cooling fans.
The use of compressed air jet is the simplest and the best way to get the extracted dust fan cooling and cooling grids.

I clean my fan from time to time, and the jet of compressed air has always worked well

    Hi there @antonio55,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that you are looking for advice on how to clean your screen.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Please see: HP monitors - Safety and Maintenance Guidelines, under the heading "Cleaning the monitor" for details of cleaning, but be sure to read both safety related information.  Depending on what you mean by "halos" try following the instructions for the materials to be used. If you have in the past used something on the list of cleaning products do not turn out to serve, you may have already damaged a part of the screen.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Satellite L350-24U: how to clean the keyboard after having poured orange juice

    Hello out there.
I spilled my L350-24U with Orange juice.
    Now, I have 4 keys to self-retaining :-(

Can someone tell me how to clean the keyboard without damaging the laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm, it's still a stupid situation
Usually you can remove the keyboard of the laptop very easily.
The keyboard is fixed with screws hidden under thin plastic cover near the line of F1 - F12 key.

If you would remove plastic this cover then you would be able to remove the screws as well. Then you could lift the keyboard carefully and could disconnect the flat cable of the keyboard and the motherboard.

Notes; two small latches on both sides of the connector must be moved in order to disconnect the cable.

Then you could remove the keyboard and could clean it with a damp lint.
PS: the caps can be removed too.
But be very careful. You must raise the CAP to get it for free.

There are many videos on youtube...

  • Equium A60-155: how to clean the fan?

This isn't a problem as such, more than one request. How do you clean the fan? A litle while ago my laptop kept turning off itself, and it turned out to be part of the problem I the fan was clogged so I was wondering if anyone knew how to clean so I can myself sorting in case it happens again. Thanx

    Hi Jemma,

The problem is that dust is sucked into the fans and is then trapped in the radiator CPU effectively blocks.

A good way os compensation this accumulation of dust is to use a hose of vacuum cleaner against the aspiration air grills so that dust is sucked in. Just put the hose against the grids of aspiration air for a few seconds and block any gaps around the pipe with a cloth.

    Kind regards
