Clean Windows 7 install hangs during expanding windows files

well, so that's what I've done so far, I have downloaded the kit of the student digital river, I originally ran Windows xp 32-bit, so when I ran first the exe download, it gave me the error of not being able to record in a single folder to read and what not, but I followed the suggestions on the forums to move forward a burn on a startup disk expandedsetup folder in converting it to an iso, which I did, I installed the first time but missed the option to format my hard drive so my old files were still there, however, once got installed win 7 I wasn't able to connect to internet for some strange reason and I couldn't understand it, so I decided to take the 3 files I downloaded originally from digital river and try their unpacking on the 64 bit OS now I had installed, it worked fine this time without any errors, so I moved the folder expandedsetup to my laptop and he burned them on a dvd as before, this time I boot from the dvd and do a clean install, it installs again very well, but once I login in the OS and I am getting started with things once again everything is grinding the long, I tried to restart and it does not work, this time it froze just a black before the paper screen, so once more, I started from the dvd and tried to do a clean install, but this time, he begins to hang during the part of expanding windows files, so I decide to make another disc using the second expandedsetup folder thinking that perhaps a new one was a bad burn, this does not work either, it takes about 14% of full on the extension of the windows files and then he told me that the files is not found, so I tried the second drive once again, we only got 4% until it gives me error on files is not found , so I put the first early in and try and suspension 4% right now and I expect to give me the same error, I have really no idea of happening, there are too many variables, but I tried to evaluate each of them, would be - this related material? my computer is compatible for win 7 64 bit, I ran the Upgrade Advisor before you buy, so I know that my hardware can run it, I think it's my dvd drive or the hard drive, but they both seem to run fine otherwise, any help would be appreciated

Hello Impoc,

Thanks for posting on the Community Forums of Microsoft Vista.

Installation may stop if the system cannot copy files. Here are some possible causes and solutions for this problem:

·     Your Windows installation disc is scratched, smudged, or dirty. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, insert it in the CD or DVD drive, and then start the Windows installation again. If your installation disc is damaged, you may need to replace it. For more information, go to How to replace Microsoft software or hardware lost, broken or missing on the Microsoft Web site.

·     Your CD-ROM or DVD drive is not working properly or the disk might be vibrating too much for the laser correctly read data. For more information about this problem, see your hardware documentation or contact the manufacturer of the CD or DVD drive.

·     If your computer has multiple CD or DVD drives, your computer may attempt to locate files on the wrong drive. If your computer has a feature to disable CD or DVD drives that are not used, turn off readers that you don't use. Otherwise, try to insert the disc in a different drive, and then restart the installation.

·     There is a virus on your computer. Run an antivirus program to scan your system and to identify the necessary repairs. Don't forget to disable the antivirus before you start the installation again.

Also, it is usually caused by hardware or software that is not compatible with Windows 7. If you have this problem, follow these steps:

1. wait 10 minutes to see if the installation continues. Look at the led on the hard drive (often a small light on your computer that blinks when your hard drive is running) to see if there is no activity. If your hard drive seems to be working, the installation must be current. If your hard disk doesn't seem to work, go to step 2.

2. If the installation fails again, it may be a hardware incompatibility problem. Go to the Windows Upgrade Advisor on the Microsoft website to see if your computer can run Windows 7.

3. If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary hardware. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

If you have more than 1 Memory stick on your computer, try to remove all but one RAM stick and try to install Windows 7.

If the computer still stops responding during installation, you may need to contact your computer manufacturer or retailer to check if the computer is compatible with Windows 7.

Note: This article is related to Windows Vista. However, you can follow the same steps with Windows 7.

If the installation fails after following the steps above, try to note the exact error message and provide the same.

It will be useful.

Thank you and best regards,

Srinivas

  • Project Manager hangs during fired fresh files and copy them to the new location

    Hello

Any project I have which includes a .mts file captured with a Panasonic GH1 camera causes the project manager in Premiere Pro (CC 2015 edition) to hang (several minutes and ends by hangs) when I do a "collect files and copy them to a new location. It creates a "xxxx. MTSBDMV' with a 'STREAM' record fo RL first file, but that is it. I can even reproduce with a new project with a single sequence, single clip.

I'm under Premiere Pro CC 2015 edition on a Windows 10 machine. (I tried before 2014 CC edition WIndows 7 as well, same result, but I have not created a test case).

    Hi Albion,

Thanks for your message and anxiety. I downloaded your sample project and media and was able to replicate your issue.

I don't know why these images give you so much trouble, but there are a few things to check.

    1. Where is the folder for multimedia file structure? All I see is the raw. Clip of MTS.
    2. In general, you copy all the SD card to your computer HD, then ingest via the media browser
      1. This allows all the metadata to clips to be implemented with the clip.
      2. The clip needs this metadata so that it works normally.
      3. Many publishers of band on the metadata by choosing File > import and do not ingest correctly via the media browser

I suspect that this could be at the heart of your problems. You could try a try and ingest the images correctly, so try and move the project with the project manager. If it still does not work, please file a bug herereport.

Once I transcoded your footage to ProRes LT using Adobe prelude, I could ingest images, create a sequence, then moved the sequence and associated media without problem.

  • Cannot install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704) a safe mode or after clean window reboot

I can't install the update for Windows vista (KB2718704), a mode without failure or after clean window reboot.

    What should I do?

    Hello

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         You are able to install other updates successfully?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 7 the link to start the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

Method 4: Follow the steps in the article.

How to reset the Windows Update components?

You cannot install some programs or updates

Note: You must take the backup of the data before performing any installation of windows.

  • Windows 7 install hangs at files step 21% 3.

I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 7 from Windows Vista SP2.  The high-grade crashes at 21% of stage 3 (extension of files).
I did the following: uninstalled my Norton 360 Security software.
Chkdsk /r conducted and found no disk error.
A ran memory diagnosis, and he reported no problems.
Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and uninstalled all the software and devices according to the guidelines.  The system hung twice in the same place.  I use a computer TechAdvance system with processors dual 2.66 GHZ on an Intel 965DH Mother board with 4 GB of memory and two hard drives.  The boot hard drive has 76 GB of available disk space.  A that someone has had this problem and solved?

I started this thread and wanted to complete what has occurred.  With the help of Microsoft reps tech I was finally able to install windows 7 upgrade to windows vista.  In the startup journal, Microsoft tech rep isolated oem drivers in my inf file in windows that don't migrate.  We removed the oem drivers, after their record in a file on my desk just in case.  We then went to msconfig and made a selective startup, turning off all non-microsoft services.  We also had to rename the two files on windows put there by my first upgrade attempt, which failed, $UPGRADE ~ OS and $WINDOWS ~ BT by adding old to them so that the next upgrade attempt would not access.  We started the new facility at 1730 m 31 October, finally the 0800 on November 1, the upgrade is complete.  Now, I had almost half a million files and many programs on my computer that had to be collected and processed.  The section of "Expanding Windows Files" step 3 remained on 21% after the first reboot of windows 7 during approximately 8 hours, suggesting he was hooked, but it was not, I let the system run all night, and voila, when I got up the next morning at 7:30 she had completed all five stages and was the starter in the new windows 7.  It went fast, and from 08:00 it was running in windows 7 normally.  In addition, my Norton 360 v 3.0 security system, which I had uninstalled for the upgrade to Windows 7, reinstalled with incredible speed.  I was impressed and continued to test all the different programs and devices on my system and they work all well, and Windows 7 is faster than Windows Vista.
Even if it took 15 hours to install, I'm so happy with the results.

  • Cannot install clean Windows 8.1 get pick up the product key from the BIOS

I have Acer S3-391 with a pre-installed 8 Win. First, I thought that I would like to downgrade to Win 7 Pro as I am used to Win 7. So, I

remove the recovery partition from Acer Windows 8 on my hard drive and installed Win 7 Pro (with my own product key) on this subject. Also, I've updated to version 2.17 UEFI BIOS.

Now I decided to reinstall Win 8 on my laptop, but I am running into a problem:

As I deleted the original recovery partition which included all the bloatware is it came with, I use a Windows 8.1 cleaning ISO image trasnferred a FAT32 formatted USB flash drive. It's actually an ISO Windows 8.1 Professional, but I added the file 'ei.cfg' "basic" settings and "OEM" inside. So he installed a clean Windows 8.1 with UEFI BIOS setting, but it will not pick up a product key from the UEFI BIOS. It assigns a generic key and I can't activate it with Microsoft.

Any suggestions to make it meet on the embeded BIOS product key without ordering a recovery DVD set for $45 at Acer?

    Thank you.

You're right, it comes with 8.0 OEM. Last night, I found Win 8.0 ISO, modified with the folder $ $OEM and activated!

Just to try to identify the problem, download Windows 10 Technical Preview and try to install it to see if you encounter the same problem:

Download and prepare Windows overview 10. ISO file (build 10041)

There are several ways to start the installation of Windows 10, but before we even do however, need to ensure that we have our copy of Windows 10 downloaded and converted into a bootable copy.

See the instructions for burning. ISO in Windows 7 or later files:

You can also use the Microsoft USB/DVD tool, which is recommended for users of Windows XP.

After graduating the .iso file, you use the Microsoft .iso to USB/DVD tool to create a bootable DVD or USB (requires a blank DVD or USB flash to at least 4 GB key).

Yes, wifi and BT will be under network and you need each... even with chipset... it will be the actual chipset driver and then a few pilots with as maybe usb 3.0... you say your usb ports are all black inside... all must it the SS lightning software then it? This is another indicator of usb 3. Basically, you need a driver with each title and take the one with the most recent release date.
