  • Explorer Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close, sorry for the inconvenience into account only one user. Other user accounts properly.

This problem deals with only one of my user accounts, where the user accounts function correctly.  When my wife logs in to his user account, it receives the error "windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, sorry for the inconvenience."  No ICONS or deskbar charge upward; However, my daughter and my user account functions properly.

I did a system successfully restore to a previous point, but the problem remains.

If you are still having problems with Windows Explorer crashing, I suggest to consider the suggestion offered by ShadowKat:

"Hello people, it seems that some guys out there are still having trouble with this random crashes. I have the same problem, except that it happens every time that I go to my media files on my NAS. It seems that there is a bug or something with windows that causes this problem when you access a folder to storage media like mine, especially when the size of the file is very large (archive all my discs of film there for convenience and continuous =), about 1 TB of data). Windows capable of generating thumbnail images for your files and blocks the Explorer as well.

I solved this by going to my computer > click the "Organize" (upper-left) > folder and search options > view tab check "Show icons, never thumbnails" option and uncheck the "display file on the photos." This prevents windows to generate images and solved the problem for me. Less visually flashy Yes, but at least not need a cloth and restart is).
I hope this helps and good luck!

    Hello

    ·         You use Windows XP or Windows vista?

    ·         What anti-virus program do you use?

    ·         Did you the latest changes on the computer before the show?

You have posted same question twice, one in the category Windows XP and in Windows Vista, if you are facing this problem in Windows XP, you can read this article:

A "System has recovered from a serious error" message after every restart.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/317277

The computer may automatically restart, or you may receive a "serious error" message or a stop error message in Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, or in Windows 2000

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/894278

Follow these methods to solve the problem in Windows Vista:

    Method 1:

I also suggest you to download and run the latest Microsoft Scanner on your computer and check to see if it helps:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: the data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

    Method 2:

Also, try to perform the clean boot and check if it helps.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: Don't forget to start your machine in normal mode by following step 7 of the link.

    Method 3:

I would say as you try to perform the SFC (System File Checker) scan on your computer and check.

    BuggyG,
I saw that error and even if it says access denied it will actually save your changes.  After you disable all move forward and apply then restart and see if it kept the changes.  If it's not then I hope that you are able to borrow a disc it would in time look for resettlement. • Repair Windows scam - cannot control panel access control or workstation "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Original title: repair Windows scam - Can can't Access Control Panel or workstation

My system has been recently infected with "Windows" repair"virus. I managed to delete using Super Anti-Spyware, but all my desktop shortcuts are gone (hidden) so I downloaded "Unhide.exe" and get all my shortcuts. Most of them seems to be working as before, but there are a few, such as 'My Computer', ' Panel, "My Documents", or even "Windows Explorer", which I can't access.» When I try to open them, I get this popup box saying "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" how much he out me of my office of kicks.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Brian

The best way to solve this maybe just create a new user account, transfer your personal data to this account, and then delete the old account. Make sure that you perform the system restore after you did the new account and everything works fine. To purge the system restore, simply disable it then again. Be aware that the creation of a new user account is not the means to get rid of malware. But it is perhaps the best way to get rid of some of the after effects. However, I recommend you scan with Malwarebytes before running these instructions. After scanning you may not create the new account.

In addition, Jose is correct. Good number of new forms of malware prevent the start in safe mode. Trying to force booting in SafeMode with msconfig, you end up with a boot loop.

  • How can repair you windows explore-"Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."

As of late, when I open any photo or video files (those that I opened in the past) I get that dreaded "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close... blah, blah, blah!

I could not find any information on this error, except the one person that I know who maintains computers of the University of Missouri, said that he had this problem, and it was somehow related to the fact that he had too many thumbnails in the folder/drive.

I didn't think that this is the case and think it is much more insidious than that.  Could use any help to solve this issue up to and including the repair of Windows Explorer (with the hope that I don't have to reloadt the operating system).

    Thanks in advance!

  • Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close, heartbreaking.

Recently, while ripping the cd to Windows Media Player 11 on XP Service Pack 3, I'm frequently getting the message "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close."  It happens usually during the second or third disc.  I then close and reopen and am immediately able to rip the CD.  Sometimes the player will immediately be closed as soon as I click on "start rip."   Any ideas?

The same thing happens if you rip to MP3 or WMA?

Post here the technical details of the accident. Go to Start- run , type eventvwr.msc , and then press ENTER.

In Event Viewer, access to the application log and look for an error in the list, there should be two entries for the last crash. Double-click on these two events and copy/paste their description in your post.
