Cleaning of the printheads on model C310a

My wife has not used the painter is several years. I have purchaced all new cartridges. I did the cleaning heads at least 7 times, did the alignment at least 7 times and he always failed. Print the quality report and only half of the colors are there and they are just a bunch so thin lines. Can I get some sort of vacuum and clean the heads where the cartridges off the ink.

Thank you

Brian

The paper here is troubleshooting steps that may help solve black and color print not on your Photosmart c310a.  Be sure to check the vents.  If the above does not resolve the problem, the message here can help.  If the printer has been idle for years this may take several cycles of soaking to solve the problem.

I cleaned my print heads. It took several times.  Now it's better, BUT all my NEW ink cartridges are nearly empty!

    Hi @mbburley,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you have a Photosmart HP 5510 printer e-All-in-one that needs to have the print head cleaned, and when the print quality was satisfactory the 'new' ink cartridges were nearly empty. I would like to help with that.

Ink cartridges certainly get a little more impoverished every time that the print head is cleaned. Cleaning the printhead several times, can finally empty ink cartridges at the point where the printer requires that you replace the ink cartridge.

Here is a document that we can follow in the future that can help you with the problems of print quality - fixing of problems print quality for the Photosmart HP 5510 e-all-in-One Printer Series.

If the print head is badly clogged, you may have need clean the printhead several times to restore the normal print quality, but you should not use a complete set of new cartridges with a print quality problem.

    Hi bookprint.

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with cleaning of the print head. I found a few troubleshooting steps that are useful to show you how clean the area around the cartridge nozzles.

Always I try to format my windows partition, I get the following error:

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style.

So I'd like a clean install of Windows 8.1 without changing the style of hard drive or in bulk my RECOVERY partition.

OBS.: I just can I perform boot after you disable UEFI and Secure Boot.

    @lucasc ,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  You will not be able to do it without damaging the recovery partition.  If you want to do a fresh install on your system, use the system recovery.

If this isn't the case, you will install the operating system of your choice.  So before you send that the laptop came with the operating system, and you supported drivers for the operating system you want to install.

If this isn't the case, you will not be able to find in driver support and you end up with hardware problems.  The drivers are built for laptop based on the OS that it was released with and they are owners.

I hope this helps.  Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

  • Photosmart 8230. How to remove the printheads to clean?

Hi guys, I have a Photosmart 8230. After a few lines of print that black ink fades to almost nothing, all the colors are perfect. There is no error message. I did self cleaning and alignment procedures and wasted a lot of expensive ink. The test page comes out with streaks on the black only. It has been suggested that I have remove the printhead and immerse it in hot water as a last resort. The question is, how do I remove the print head? or should I use it as a sea anchor!

I just did this to a HP Photosmart 8250, which is in the range of 8000 series. I guess they are similar. I was a repair man and many other tings have done in my life, I decided to take a shot at fix my 8250 rather than junk food it. 3 years it was great, the jam only paper and quickly great photos, so I didn't give up on this. HP will not repair printers for us, I think because it's too much hard work, and they can sell one for what it would cost.

In fact, I have fixed my HP 8250 Photostat. His work, but color printing is not as good as he was, yet, but I hope that will improve all the colored inks to work their way through the system.

  • change the printheads on officejet 8500

the carriage does not move to the left automatically change the printheads. Where is the OK 'button? Is it the OK that appears when you press the icon of ink on the screen?  If so, holding a 5 seconds contact screen with this OK does nothing.

    Hello

What is your exact printer model?

If it's the HP Officejet Pro 8500 (A909a), you should press and hold OK Phisical once we open the door of prithead.

For HP Officejet 8500 Wireless or Premium (A909g/A909n) you need to press and hold the * button for 5 seconds.

Once the door is open, take a look at the screen, it should tell you what exact button to press.

  • Designjet T120: T120 - sustainability of the printhead Designjet

Consider buying Designjet T120 for a small office, where my question:

What is the sustainability of the print head? (how many pages can be printed)?

With almost all designjet hp I've seen over the years, the print head life is never determined by the number of pages. There are just too many variables.  Unlike most printers Designjet the T120 T520 doesn't have a separate print heads, but is rather a unit and is replaced as such.  I have not heard or seen any problems with the printhead on this model, so I guess that it will last several years.  With printers Designjet most lack of use is the cause of most of the problems with the printheads.  Also do not have the cart placed above the service station causes problems.  Example the belt has a problem for the plotter stops in the middle and the user plan nor get the fixed tracer for over 2 weeks.  This has a detrimental effect on the printhead (s) as they tend to dry out when not capped.  The correct use and fairly constant use of designjet keep the printheads for years.  I have repaired several hp Designjet printers where the print heads are more than 10 years and still works fine.  However I maintained Designjet printers where the print heads spoil in less than a year with most of them in the latest, due to lack of use.  I also perfer for guests to leave their tracers on all the time.  Less stress on the components as they go through many electrical test when the first being enabled.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a: align the printheads

There is no black printing when printing a document.  I changed all 4 cartirdges, cleaned the heads but always without success.  When I go to SNAP PRINTHED I get an ALIGNMENT FAILURE error message.  REFER TO THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE DEVICE FOR MORE DETAILS.

    Hello @rbletsch,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that your HP Officejet 6500 a e-all-in-one printer does not print in black. In addition, after having replaced all 4 cartridges, the alignment is a failure on your Officejet. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Misalignment normally associated with print head. The print head of your machine is which "reads" your cartridges and ink to go on the control document. If the print head is defective in your HP Officejet printing system is corrupt and you need a replacement of the printhead to fix this. A defective print head would cause also no black print. That being said, I'm going to run through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this problem of ink black and alignment.

To begin troubleshooting, please click here. When opens the document of support please do run Solution three, four, solution and five Solution. This includes all sub-steps under three listed Solutions. If the problem persists, replace the print head would be the next step.

If your HP Officejet is out of warranty, I recommend checking out the @Bob_Headrickpost: black ink does not because there are useful measures to soak the printhead to remove the excess ink that could block the ink black and causing finally alignment to fail.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!

  • How can I remove the printhead of an All-in_one C5180

I get an error message that says: 'ink system failure '.  Another message mentioned that they removed and cleaned the junk of their print head.  How can I remove mine to try same fix?

This printer does not have a removable print head, so we wouldn't be able to remove the printhead to clean.  Here a link to a document that addresses the error message that you get on this printer.  It will show you how to reset that one can try to attempt to remove this error message.

If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call. • Is alcohol the best solution for the cleaning of the product

Sometimes you print quality problems. You cannot print the colors, bad impression or bad imagingin during the scan images.

You go through all the troubleshooting steps away as cartrides, glass, rollers of the printer cleaning and replacement of cartridges.

Ask yourself what you should used during the cleaning of the unit?

WATER and a LINT cloth, would be the best solution for cleaning. You can absorb the water on the cloth and clean the printhead, cartridges, the scanner glass, rolls and any other area that needs to be specific to the unit.

ALCOHOL IS NOT AN OPTION. This can damage the strips and the contacts on the cartridges and the print head. The next time you need to clean your product, water is the best option.

    Hope this helps everyone.

  • OfficeJet Pro 6830: there is a problem with the printhead - estimate of repair costs?

Getting the message "There is a problem with the printhead".  Found the document tracking and troubleshooting got to step 3 where it says "the printer to Service."

Naturally, when I checked, I found that our guarantee missed three weeks ago.  The printer lasted more than a year...

No idea what it would cost for this repair?

Or given the pricing model for ink jet printers, are we better off he throw?

We had an Epson printer that has lasted several years; Maybe we should go back to them?

  • "Impossible recovery disk for this computer. Confirm the type of model.

    Dear everybody

I have a prolem on my computer, and my computer is a Sony Vaio VGN-CS230J. My computer operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Now I use Windows 7 and I want to back to the original operating system recovery, but it does not work. When I want to recover, it displays a message 'can't the recovery for this computer disk. Confirm the type of model. I wish that everyone could help me.

To return to Vista, you must do a clean install, which probably a format the hard disk during the process (at least I'd do a format just to be sure to do it again and not accidentally install two OS on the same system that would create a more serious problem).  Make sure that you backup that data that the process will erase your drive first clean everything.  If you use a recovery disk or a recovery partition provided by the manufacturer, you must contact the manufacturer for advice on how to complete the process, because the recovery process is their to and not Microsoft.  This is the computer we're talking about:http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=VGN-CS230J®ion_id=1?  We can not help you with the process of recovery beyond what I've included below (which is basicially links to the Sony site and ways to contact them or obtain additional information).

If you use the recovery Partition and it does not work, then you might need instead of disk recovery (that you can get from the manufacturer, for a small fee or maybe even do partition recovery - well than if the partition does not work I would ask on the disks, it - see the following) (: http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=C427414&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_KNOWLEDGEARTICLES_1_1&dialogID=143790279&stateId=0).  Here are the steps to perform the recovery discs recovery according to Sony: http://www.kb.sony.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=C1003796&sliceId=1&docTypeID=DT_KNOWLEDGEARTICLES_1_1&dialogID=143790279&stateId=0 , but even once, we cannot help you with this.  The error you get suggests the recovery information does not match the model of the computer - which may mean there was an error during production (with the computer or with the recovery software) - but I don't know who to hit and you really do need to talk to Sony about this.  http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/support-contacts.pl?mdltype_id=24.  If we consider the costs if this system is no longer under warranty, I think I'll try the chat option - although not as effective or as fast as the phone, he can usually answer most questions and help with most of the problems (and tell you how to do the things you need to do and how to get the things you need to get - if anything).  You know the problem and you know the situation and you know what you need to understand, therefore, to ask the right questions and get the answers you need.  If the chat also costs, you could try e-mail even if it will take more time and you'll have to write one that asks everything you want to know the first time or you will go back for days.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
