  • Installed a Registry Cleaner software, now I can't connect to Windows

After that I ran the optimizer, I rebooted, now when I try to Tog on my account from the Welcome screen, it load and disconnects immediately. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to boot in safe mode.  then in safe mode, run the system restore feature and find a restore point to return your system to a functioning State.

either way, if this program was all good, then he may have done a restore point just before you used to make changes to your system.

If this isn't the case, then I would uninstall it to remove the temptation to use it again.

  • Although there are many commercial software programs that claim to clean up registry problems, it is often uncertain of the truth. Windows itself has all these programs?

    Laptop Toshiba using Windows 8.

    Hello

First of all, a great thing about registry cleaning is it isn't and shouldn't be a computer maintenance task. Clear the cache and cookies of your browser every week? Great, nothing wrong here. Your favorite registry database run cleaner each week? NOT BIG.

If we're here to be honest and direct, cleaning the registry is a completely pointless thing to do. So far, what I've said makes it sound like I despise the registry cleaners. I do? No, I do not despise them, but as I said, they are not necessary and if used carelessly can make your operating system a Clipboard.

Then why would you even use a registry cleaner in the first place? Well, they're doing something right or they would not even be allowed to (if paid) sales or if they were free (CCleaner for example) there will be a huge game, more than what it already is in IT, regarding the opinions based on registry cleaners.

Cleaning software to register is useful mainly for one thing and it may very well be made according to the algorithm uses the cleaner software itself, and which is to remove remnants of uninstalled old software or entries including path names now not valid. Sometimes it can be possibly useful for removing traces of malware that may have been stored in the registry that was not properly deleted after you run an analysis antivirus, etc..

Other that that, it won't do anything. It will not increase the performance of your system by any means whatsoever. Nothing notable. A "register of small" in theory would one assume that the things load faster, etc, but in reality, there no performance difference either.

For reference, take a look at this:

Mark Russinovich (author of the co-founder of 'Bible', Windows Internals, Winternals and Sysinternals, and that both companies were bought by Microsoft, now a senior employee of Microsoft) asked:

Hi Mark, do you really think that registry junk left by uninstalled programs could severely slow down the computer? I would like to 'hear' your opinion.

    His answer:
No, even if the registry was massively bloated there will be little impact on the performance of something else comprehensive research.

On Win2K Terminal Server systems, however, there is a limit on the total amount of registry data that can be loaded and so large profile hives can limit the number of users that can be simultaneously connected.

I did not and never will implement a registry cleaner since it's of little practical use on anything other than Win2K terminal servers and developing one that is safe and effective requires a huge amount of application-specific knowledge.

    So, to summarize all this:

Q: Using a registry cleaner will increase the speed and/or the performance of my system?

    A: N °

    ----

Q: Why I even use a registry cleaner then?

A: Personally, I wouldn't use an any and would find the problem you are expressly have and handle manually. It is much safer. However, the main use of registry cleaners is to delete again as mentioned above, software remains of old uninstalled or entries including path names now invalid. Sometimes it can be possibly useful for removing traces of malware that may have been stored in the registry that was not properly deleted after you run an analysis antivirus, etc..

    ----

Q: What is the real danger to use a registry cleaner?

A: You must remember that you use is an automated tool that is not perfect by any means. You put your trust in an automated tool to be absolutely sure that it is about to remove all keys is 100% useless. At certain times and I saw him personally myself a LOT, it can remove a very important key, which is necessary for the functionality of your operating system in one form or another.

    ----

Q: What happens if my registry is corrupt, running a registry cleaner will help?

    A: Absolutely not.

  • Tune Up my Mac software safe to use on desktop Mac computers?

    Hello team Apple,

I found this http://www.tuneupmymac.com/Features#.V-cFmDKZOV5 software and was wondering is it worth to download this software to tune up and remove unnecessary records on the Mac desktop. For now, it works well, but I often wonder if it runs more slowly so that was when I bought my Mac end 2011. I was told to stay away from MacKeeper.  I have approximately 427 GB of free HD space and 16 GB of RAM. The RAM is usually between 7 and 8 GB and some programs and open. I closed usually programs or apps if not using them. My OS X is currently El Capitan. I think I'll be able to download macOS Sierra in autumn.

There an honest answer as to the ability of software to clean, optimise and delete records with users of Apple Mac? Comments, suggestions or advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Macs have built in procedures that automatically run and do what is necessary. More 3rd party 'tune up' and 'cleaning' software cause more problems than benefits. You won't find many people here their recommendation.

Sierra of BONES was released on 20 September and can be downloaded from the App Store.

  • What is Regedit and how it relates to the HP printing software?

Regedit is a Windows program that allows you to edit the registry keys that control the PC. It contains a complete list of all the equipment of the system and information; and a single incorrect change here can completely break your computer forever.  It is strongly recommended that you contact a professional if you have been invited to go in this order.  Most often associated with Center HP solutions and other software that is not installed, you will see here in this post (step 26) when she suggests doing a complete scrub to remove all the files on a computer not HP HP. This is a real document that suggest going into the registry to solve an access denied Error Message.

HP and its users of the forum are volunteers and highly skilled individuals who can give you the suggestion, but, so far, it was left to the HP printer customer curious to find the means to do so.  If this saves you the headaches and the possible destruction of your computer for me to publish this information so I'll do it, but keep in mind this isn't the place for beginners, and there are an infinite number of potential mistakes that can be made.  This is a very confusing place and all information about the deletion of the keys in order to find the set of features is left to the interpretation of the reader, leaving more room for error.

    1. How do not a mistake
one) BACK UP THE REGISTRY before you begin.  Before editing the registry, it is recommended to create a restore point using System Restore.  You can also export the registry file in a new folder saved on your desktop where it is easily accessible. To export, open the registry editor by clicking the Start button, type regedit in the search bar, and you will see at the top of the list.  Click on regedit.exe and after it opens, select the file and then export it.  Save wherever you want, but the Office will be the best place to return to if you make a mistake.  I recommend calling something that is easy to remember and very obviously is named in the case where you need to pick it up later.

    (b) TAKE YOUR TIME.  Do not rush or try to clean the registry of everything related to HP if you have an HP computer, if you're not fully awake and aware, and if you are not sure of the source guide you.

    (c) If you have an HP computer, do NOT touch the registry.  There is no safe way to tell except KEEP OUT.  You are looking for something here, while with good intentions on research only the printer, you have problems.  A system restore and registry backup is not guaranteed to save 100% of the time.  Contact HP or find an alternative for what anyone, you need your HP printer to do.

    2. how to correct an error
    (a) you can click on the saved file that ends with an extension of registration file (.reg).  A window pops up that says "adding information can unintentionally change or delete values and make the components to stop working correctly.  If you do not trust the source of this information, do not add it to the registry.  "Are you sure you want to continue?" If you click YES you will see "the keys and the values contained in this place have been added successfully to the registry" if all goes well. Click OK and your changes will be restored.

    (b) this document from Microsoft gives instructions on how to do a system restore in XP and here is a link about the restoration of the system in Windows 7, as well as the frequently asked questions.  It is good to have several backup plans before committing to something that you don't know much.

    3. Why do I need to do this?
    (a) it is not only a problem with the HP software, but software in general tends to leave behind a mess in the registry, even after having made a simple uninstall.  This would be used CCleaner along the coast or other record cleaning software remove left on the keys that do nothing except that the installation programs.  The setup package search a specific folder and not the content it contains.  If it finds this empty folder during the installation, you will never get your beloved software on your computer, this center of HP, HP Printer Wizard or other facilities failed solutions.  Here's a reference any order posted by IBM regarding a failed BIOS installation.

    4. how to do this safely?
The only way to do it safely is to hire a professional who has a lot of experience in this field and knows exactly what it is that he or she is looking and the case.  However, this option is not always available.  Do not perform these steps when in a hurry, a bad mood, tired, or after 5 hours of troubleshooting previous as this is when the user gets tired and errors often do.

    5. how to modify registry keys to HP?
Like I said before, it is likely that the software has been working at any given time.  Sometimes uninstalling software on an unstable platform as an old PC can leave these files in the registry.  It's why I do a uninstall/reinstall of the software the last resort when you are troubleshooting because there is often a fix for the problem without having to uninstall something every time that the printer mess up. Here are the steps to search for these missing files and delete them:

    (a) once you have regedit open, drag the centerline on so that you can see all the names of files or open it in full screen.  Skip the first key called HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.  You will not find what you are looking for here.

    (b) a click on the arrow to the left of HKEY_CURRENT _USER expands to show all files under it.  You must click on each arrow until you see a HP folder.  If you see one, right click and delete it.  You don't have to remove all individual keys under this main folder, but if it's a little one, you can see a bit of value to the wide to the right of this screen among other keys not HP.  Remove only that relating to your printer by right-clicking and selecting delete.  If you arrive at a software folder, you can delete the HP folder and the Hewlett-Packard folder.  REMEMBER THAT THIS APPLIES ONLY TO COMPUTERS, NOT HP.

    (c) continue this step at the bottom of the list, remove only the things that have to do with your printer and are obvious.  If in doubt, don't go out.  Follow along with your own progress is to close each file you have completed it.  Take your time.  If you are not comfortable here, so it's a clear sign, you need to call someone for help.  If so, try another method of registry cleaning, such as CCleaner and Advanced System Care until you can get the help you need.

    6. what should I do now?
It is not necessary to restart the computer at this time.  If you look at options of analysis or trying to get your rear HP software, you will need to re - install the full feature software and drivers for your printer.  This isn't a post about how to fix your printer or its software, it is a message to warn users not only of the dangers to be found in this tool, but to guide you if you want to perform this step without professional assistance.  The last thing you want to do is break your computer in the process, but sometimes it is a mandatory step to fix but the information about this brand of printer isn't here so that everyone can find.  All I want to do is give the average user the information they need before doing something destructive and cannot back away from him.  Take your time and keep looking for other forums before you perform these steps on your own, especially if it's the first time, you have already been in this part of your computer.

These steps are not sponsored by HP and are really based on my personal experience and knowledge of others. If you have any questions I will do my best to respond, but the main point of this post is to remind you, if you have any questions you can come back to another option.

  • Hotmail account compromise - can't use the features after the connection after uninstalling the software from my computer

    Dear Sirs,

I had this account for more than 10 years. The other day I was cleaning software for my machine I've ever used. I remember to remove something that was bound to windows 'LIVE' that says that I rarely used it. Now, I can not use my hotmail account. I can get connected, but can't click on anything whatsoever. When I ride on an element, I get the little hand with the 'wait' finger, but he never goes one further.

I guess I must have pulled something part of the hotmail program work properly. The account is still there. and I changed the password just to be sure. I recently had a hacked Facebook account, but this address/hotmail account has never been associated with the Facebook account. This is why I take it for granted that I deleted something necessary for hotmail.

How can I help you to help me restore this account to the good operating condition? You cannot respond to this account, or I won't be able to read your response. Just reply to:

  • "All programs" is empty after running Registry Cleaner

After running registry cleaning software, I lost the ability to see all my programs when I click on "All programs"... property is (empty)... same problem when I click on "Favorites"... resulting (blank)... suggestions?

It would be good to know how the system restore has failed.

Any registry cleaner worthy of the name should back up the registry or at least to save the made changes so that you could "undo" them.  Try to run to the top and look for an option "Cancel".

Another possible option would be to create a new user on your system.  When a new user is created, the default desktop items are regenerated and this could be a way to get back them.

Other than that, you may have to re-create your icons to find programs in the folder c:\Program Files\ and recreate the shortcuts on your desktop and start menu.

The register is an essential part of Windows and should not be messed with except if you know enough to back up the registry before you do anything about him, and restore the registry when things go wrong.

I'm unable to uninstall video editing software and were told by their tech support that my Windows needs a 'registry clean up.'  Background: the computer crashed while I was updating my FlipShare software. After I rebooted, Flipshare will not work, but cannot fix my computer or update. After a lot of troubleshooting with technical support Flip, they said my Windows one needs "registry clean" until we can get, because I get the following message from Windows: "the installation source for this product is not available." Verify that the source exists and that you can access. As all the comments I've read in this forum does NOT recommend to use the registry cleaning software, I don't know what to do. Am I stuck and have to take my computer to a repair for this shop?

Try the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to remove Flipshare. This tool has been removed by Microsoft because it could cause other problems. It is still available on this site

    Or use Revo to uninstall:

If RegCure is running use TaskManager to close (end) - right click on the taskbar - task manager

  • How can I get the software of the scrubber to correct an error of driver installation?

I'm currently on Windows 8.1.  When I try to install the printer driver for my OfficeJet Pro L7650 I get the following error message: "the system cannot find specified file".

I read that there is a cleaner software that will solve this problem.  How can I get this software?

Thank you very much for your help.

I ran the 4 separate sets of scrubs.

While I still have the error message when I tried to install the driver of HP download, I was successful to be able to install the driver from the control panel of Windows 8.

Before applying to the cleaning brush, Windows printer installation would not be successful.  While I don't have an error message, the printer would not work.

After you run the scrubber, the printer works after the installation of the printer and driver from the control panel.

I am grateful to have just the printer available on this laptop.

    It is a partial success.

    Thanks again.
